  4. i bought it for $5 during sales and the 2nd map with deadmau5 is actually pretty funny. better than 1st map. local multiplayer with xbox controllers is a hoot. 4 player split screen FTW
  5. youre right, would most likely be a thermo. i dont have any pics, but the unit has arrows for direction of oil flow, so that was used when plumbing it back on. do you reckon its worth having one? new oil relocation kit is on the way, so will put that on the firewall, closer to the block.
  6. bawler: http://www.importmonster.com.au/view?url=http://page4.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/d157411797&thumb=http://auctions.c.yimg.jp/img345.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/users/3/6/2/7/chisatooon09-thumb-1406847870505391.jpg&title=y34 would probably still get less defects than alvin
  7. lol. this is a top seller up in here country town. but more deer than cops (P.I.G.S.) round these parts.
  8. Got car to workshop finally and not inspected too closely yet, but doesnt look too good. Long story: at winton, oil pressure was very low but increased with speed (which says oil pump was functioning), oil/water temps were nothing unusual, oil volume was ok (according to dipstick and looking under oil cap), no blow-by, no leaks. Something wasnt right, and as pulling into the pits (giving away to Porsches hooning around) the car stalled hard when releasing clutch at over 1.5krpm. concerned, some SAU guys kindly helped push the car back to the shed. After a fair bit of snooping around, seemed safe to start car, it ran ok, took for a putt around the car park and heard one tick from the engine bay. A few of the exhaust studs were spinning but this was a known issue. Passenger heard it too and we concluded it could be a small exhaust leak developing, so kept the car off the track until a dedicated 80% passenger session during lunch was held. Took is extremely easy on the track (took 2 degrees off timing, watched knock sensor and oil pressure excessively). after 2-3 laps temps started to increase marginally, then noise became regular, then suddenly loud noises + engine light. Immediately turned off engine and pulled over. Short story: My thoughts? sounded like bottom end bearings and theyre the first thing to go with oil issues, but cant know for sure until engine is opened up. What puzzles me the most is that the new engine has done ~2500kms including a proper run-in and a track day in December where it performed flawlessly. So need to look into: parts failure (new or old) oil system, particularly oil filter relocation kit and oil cooler (being the only parts of the oil system we didnt change (but were thoroughly cleaned)) oil total volume Re-inspect head for damage and clearances (which should give us an indication of the tune, shims and general head performance) One thing that puzzles me is this: oil filter then back to block / to cooler and then back to block. I have no idea what it does or if it works. Anyway, so engine is going to be pulled out and I will keep the shell at home where I can hopefully work on it. Things to do: Remove remaining A/C gear out of the engine bay. Inspect existing front sway bar and if it matches a Sentra will be upgrading to this: http://www.progressauto.com/products/sfID1/12/sfID2/47/sfID3/70/productID/416 New oil filter relocation kit: http://www.gktech.com/index.php/oil-filter-relocation-block-clearance.html probably a new Setrab oil cooler. Fit new bonnet & bonnet latches. suss out car wiring and alternator to figure out why the car has killed a 2 yro odyssey PC680. remove/replace immobiliser/alarm system as its shitting me to no end. I really really want to re-do the engine loom from scratch. currently it has no slack on it, making it a bitch to work on and there are plugs that arent used sitting in the bay as well as plugs missing for auxiliary stuff. As much as I hate auto elec work, i reckon I could suss out the circuits pretty quickly but would get it professionally fitted/earthed because im not very tidy (and lacking in time due to upcoming interstate work). any suggestions or advice on this? i think the only fiddly parts for SR20DE loom to GTiR motor is some plugs for fuse boxes, but will have to find out. So im trying my best to be patient and do a proper job but getting this on the road with evidence it runs + makes skids would make me very happy.
  9. Fair nuff. Mmmmmmmm lobster rivet guns...
  10. Would be a very small drill bit to not cause a bigger hole than before. Like 2mm or something
  11. also true. the only problem with poprivets is that you cant undo them without causing carnage otherwise they work well.
  12. Figured out what im doing with my tax return... Sportsbet has a bet for the 2nd coming of jesus. He has to return by 28/08/15 and has to be proven to be jesus. Pays $501 dollars. Decent payout

  14. ^ not sure if dig at me or dig at Mohsen. or both. probably both. buggered on a Saturday night. might just play goldeneye: source and SWAT4. party time excellent. PS miller's beer isn't too shabby or pricey. will buy again
  15. this is from May. sounded like a bearing to me, and oil pressure had been very funny that day and seems like the two went hand in hand. want to get heaps done while its down-time, but dont want to replace everything... is it really worth getting new a gasket kit for a 2500km old engine? head and exahust are metal multi-layer gaskets so you could easily re-use them, non? what about rear main seal etc? i know you dont want any of them to leak... but we're talking a few hundred bucks in good quality brand new parts here... oh and the car killed my odyssey battery too so need car electrical sussed out like 2 years ago. and a new odyssey pc680mj
  16. save them for daily duties. get a tyre fitter at home even the $80 to swap them back would be worth the $100's on AD08R tread wear will come spectate if i have the day off.
  17. I had rare once, was really tasty but stomach felt funny afterwards. bad but expected news for the pulsar: engine out, probably did bottom end bearing(s). the cause: most probably oil issues, like the whole oil cooler system wasn't functioning. what's even worse is that now I'll pour more money into it... so many plans already. never ending
  18. hahaha made me think of:
  19. if im not working will pop down. will bookface you viper.
  20. still away with work.
  21. Plenty of good wheels available for 4x100. Theyre just only a few hundred bucks cheaper than any other decent wheels. That, and importers dont bring in many because of low demand, so people gotta fork out big bucks to get overnight from japan
