not to mention that superannuation copped most of the gfc blow in oz it seems. lot of people lost a lot of money, but doesn't really affect day-to-day stuff and the amount of foreign investment into Australia.

I think the economy has just kept chugging along because a lot of people live beyond their means, paying things off over long periods of time. and also saving for holidays or money pits since we're such a recreational bunch (cars, boats, bikes, alcohol, decent food/local produce, gym, night life etc)

anyone else think that Google will become skynet? get Nexus phone and a google+ account is compulsory, plus auto searching through your contact list and adding them to your "circles", among their other bullshit accounts and avatar dragging...

anybody staying up friday night? have usually stayed at the caravan park because theres planety of spacer for trailers. Will be booking a cabin tonight if anyone wants a bed, help bring cost down. -

yeah they installed new cameras there not long ago. such a dumb main road strip. 3 lanes to 1, then 50 through the centre. I got done at end of Frankston/Dandy road. cars all around me, everyone doing 70-80 in a 60 zone. saw the camera flash at least 3-4 times. need to remember to tell boss about it before he gets a letter in the mail I didnt notice any signs, next time I drove through there is 3 f**k-off big 60 signs before it....

do you know anyone who go to track days? ask for a few passenger laps and speak to them about it. some people fall in love with 32GTR and its worth the money and time off the road to them. While others just want to get out there regularly, reliably and/or with small, agile cars that are cheaper to run, sometimes more fun and arguably help people with less track experience get a grip on things -

same with off-shore work. work as a team of 4-5 and you're never more than 5m away from them the whole stint you're there. and if the person who is supposed to take your place isn't on the helicopter... it's a good chance you're not going home. apparently a lot of grown men cry at those moments

driving through toorak & hawksburn reguarly when I lived in Burnley... would often see a lot of P-platers that were clearly 18th or 21st presents. saw a chick on red-p's once with the plates 18BDAY or something as gay as that on a 125i convertible. blaring something similar to Vanessa Carltons 1000 Miles. couldnt have gotten any more steretypical.

A45 was white, no mods. 2 guys got out looking particularly wanky. on that note: didnt see any 34GTRs and thought that was odd. nek minnit 3 rock up. must have slept in after a long night doing prinny runs since one had unburnt fuel covering half of the rear end of the car. must have recently bought it
