not entirely true, you could find a pearl in an already dead mollusk. hadnt thought of that. But mollusk and tree fall into the same category for me.

wild pearls is like asking for your coffee table to be made from trees from national park. at least cultured pearls they re-use the flesh, shells and mother of pearl.

Being on-call means you cant drink during your week, must be located a reasonable distance from possible call-out locations and have to carry any necessary tools with you whenever you leave the house. its a pretty big inconvenience.

on call (to me) usually means: vehicle with private use or minimum call-out 4 hours (OT), or weekly allowance for period on-call or minimum 10hour break between shifts (and paid stood down time if overlap with normal work hours) OR all of the above. But depends on how many call outs a month there is in the industry.

pfft its plastidip, no need to mask tyres. the last pic is 4-5 heavy coats (runs and pooling) top pic is 6-7 light coats. I emptied half a can of Plastidip glossifier to 2 wheels and did f**k all. $30 though, so worth a shot.

had a look under the bonnet and everything was intact, but looked like fuel had run amok somehow. was covering the front intercooler piping near the headers. So i reckon fuel + heat. Very lucky no ignition. It was on E85, so didnt smell like petrol or oil, perhaps makes a different smoke.
