  10. Car was started for the first time yesterday, started first time which is good. Sorted out a number of little things the last week or two. Short shifter rattling, reverse switch on gearbox, new distributor cap, and new heat wrap. Pick up the car tomorrow, then go for the run-in tune. Plans for work before next track day at Sandown on 21st December: shift light installed, rev limiter installed, remove sound deadening and give the car a good f**king wash cause its filthy. Also need new intake pipe made up, air filter housing, new tow hook, desperately need a new catch can setup as it just doesnt work... the list goes on. But we're getting there. Had a few issues with the alternator belt again, the dump pipe fouls on it a fair bit so tough to get belts on and tighten then. Sorted the issue by grinding off a protruding stud for the earth, but new heat wrap is double layered, so its just as bad now lol. hope I dont snap a belt soon (happened once before at Sandown) also made a "suketi" kit out of a spare indicator. needs some touch-up paint, but does the job.
  11. why selling the HSV Plattsy? didnt think you had it for very long? finally seen the light?
  12. there is only so many ways you can spell Ugg Boot wrong. *misspell
  13. Pulsar is up and running, hopefully pick it up tomorrow. Will put up a vid of first start tonight. nothing sounds better than lumpy cams and an incorrect base idle. aw yeah. Engine will make track debut at Sandown Christmas
  14. awwww yeah. entering now.
  15. The first time Rajab was worshiped properly was on the 22nd April 2010, when someone was taking an image dump. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/317810-project-trd/#entry5195215 Rajab is also a distant cousin to Mohsen, a seldom respected member on SAU. Many cars wear the pre-fix of Rajab. Some example include "turbo with Rajab internals", "Rajab intercooler"
  16. Do like. but dont like the outter bolts. paint that shit black. as for gloss or matte... matte will probs go out of fashion soon
  17. Ti wrap isnt much more than the black wrap.... i dont understand Benefits of titanium: doesnt absorb fluids, no need to wet when applying. I'm guessing its pretty sharp stuff? still needs the wire on the outside to hold firm? http://www.revolutionracegear.com.au/index.php?PCID=10314&PSO=245&PSID=3389010108&PSV=Primary&CDO=12 http://www.revolutionracegear.com.au/index.php?PCID=10314&PSO=245&PSID=3389010127&PSV=Primary&CDO= Dezz: revolution racegear do a lot of that stuff
  18. i dont know much about heat wrap, but need it quick (this week). brand? place? typical length? might get this: http://www.speedproshop.com.au/index.php?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage.pbv.v3.tpl&product_id=147&category_id=7&option=com_virtuemart&Itemid=99 easy, cheap
  19. hit the nail on the head. The one and only...
  20. true... but the HR31 competing is badassssss, BC automotive placed 1st and no mention, Richo no mention, 1000hp R35 doing drags no mention and an entire page about some shiity meisters. i dont get meisters. maybe mohsen can shed some light on the topic. ugly as fark, expensive as fark and come in nasty colours. is it an ode to 90's styling or something?
  21. http://www.speedhunters.com/2013/10/skylines-five-ways-at-wtac/#chapter-different-strokes some great skylines there and they focus on stance and production race cars you find all over the internet. disappointed. drag car was sick though.
  22. From what I've heard... more vehicles, easier to take down vehicles, lags galore on full maps, sweats graphics cards and no one playing certain game modes.
  23. ouch. plastic pedals belong in the bin. first mod for the Avanti was metal pedals, then drink holders, then new handle bar grips. and when they wore out, gaffer tape did a pretty good job too.
  24. haha yeah the resource managers... Still reckon GTA3 and Vice City had best radios overall. Talk shows were hilarious. Lazlo isnt funny anymore Havent been online much, spent a week or two finishing singleplayer and then got into Path Of Exile. Hopefully be on this week to spend ma monies (sub $300k 10 car garage apartment)
  25. lol. nismo gearbox? AVCR? nismo reys wheels?? should buy back the old sunkist and trade him for that haha +1 to spend sub $1000, but higher than $400 for a bike. Bought a $600 Avanti when I was 16 and I still use it (occasionally). was before disc brakes became the norm. Put some slick-ish tyres on it for better efficiency too. Ride along the yarra (city or warburton) its terrific. Or even Eastlink on a weekend morning. good times. Also budget for half-decent, good fitting helmet. 1+ year warranty
