once you finish the missions is it like most GTA games where you're now sick of combat and fetch missions and isn't as fun anymore?

so just over 3 weeks later the cams arrived from Japan. during that time had the fun job of hunting for some GTiR (mechanical/solid lift) rockers that have long been discontinued by Nissan. Most of mine were damaged from the busted springs and damaged cams.Found 4 brand-new in the UK but that was all, really. Didnt want to spend big bucks on a set of NAPREC aftermarket ones, with no one who can vouch for them or even a picture of the final product. The workshop was able to re-ground and salvage 4 of the original rockers and use those to make up the 8. Dummied up. the rockers are held down with a springclip, unfortunately the standard SR20 doesnt have enough meat on the end to grind a slot into it. BC dual springs and retainers arrived. Old ones on the right, I think they were from Super Pro or super-something. with new cams dummied up. bit of effort now checking clearances. shims have been waiting on the cams to be made to size (need 0.15mm clearance) bought a new OEM waterpump, ACL gasket kit and a 1.1mm Cosworth head gasket which should bringing compression just under 9:1 (more than we anticipated) so things are getting closer.

one thing thats really getting on my nerves is how many bullets you can take. been killed so many times now running an enemy over, getting out of the car, seeing on the radar that he's not dead and me getting shot up during the animation it takes to get out of the car. spend so much money on armour, and clothes and it all changes/disappears when switching characters. also navigating indoor spaces. people have to elegantly run around and try to change directions and all you do is just miss doorways and run into walls. been like this for red dead and GTA4. grrrr. still having a lot of fun though

Havent found anything exciting yet I just cant get over how I can explore almost every property and balcony or hydro dam... Wish I was playing right now, stupid work...

my old ones were just worn from the springs/cams being rooted. note to self: if ever parting out car, part out every single GTiR specific bit and put on ebay = profit

that awkward moment when you buy a set of 4 rockers, try to picture how only 4 are needed for an SR20 but ignore the thought as you are not sure only to find out that 8 are needed, your suspicions were correct and now you cant find any for sale anywhere other than shady german/russian/japanese websites.

dont go to EB. they charging $110 first impressions for me werent the best. sooooo many jaggies on PS3 @ 1080p (game is 720). but head out to the countryside and its gorgeous like Red Dead. Underwater is pretty cool, but cant help that notice you swim 5m underwater = like 20m when you go back up. its helpful though because you can swim great distances haha Car handling is so much better than GTA4. some cars are boaty, some cars contantly overcorrect steering, but others arent too bad. I still suck balls at free aim, but hate aim assist so ill keep practicing in the ranges. why is it that I can gun ok on console COD etc, but struggle so much in this one? turned up aim sensitivity a lot and its better... but it either moves to slow, or jumps across the screen.

haha yeah, negronis are ok. my drunk drink of choice is still chartreuse with ice or with fruit sanpellegrinos. chartreuse is like campari where the more you dilute it, the more you dilute any sweetness and it actually tastes worse. theres a tip top tip for you.

pre-mix stawberry or chocolate cowboys & milk. 7 std drinks for under $15. thats goon territory. creme de cacao is awesome some grenadine. im getting into cocktails lately and got some red sweet vermouth, campari and nice gin. made some neapolitans and americanos (sp). man campari is viscious, and I like bitters too.

fizziness is what ruins coke yeah, i went there. i cant decipher any flavour, all i feel is excess bubblage
