  1. It has become a modders game. I was playing it online not long after release, and the only people playing it were military nuts, tactical shooter fans and military personnel. Most of the Aus and NZ servers were run by the Australian Army. Lets be honest, the modding community for the engine was pretty small until DayZ. It almost single-handedly secured a solid budget for the sequel. I still reckon the only thing that makes the Arma series profitable (prior to DayZ sales and expansion packs) is the European market!
  2. well played. my mrs' dad has one and as much as he loves the car, has had to replace a wheel or two and goes through a lot of tyres (not just the rears). But yeah, get some decent suspension, a set of wheels and tyres and it would be a great track car. Would need to do a bit of research into BMW brakes though, guy i work with has a 335 hard-top convertible in aqua and someone mentioned something about BMW using dated brake technology
  3. still suffer from usual BMW problems. Big wheels and low profile soft compound tyres = high maintenance costs and common wheel damage from poorly maintained roads. High service costs, expensive insurance, and wank factor.
  4. pretty excited. I bought Cities XL 2012 to scratch the itch, and it is a good game.............. wonderfully complex, but just doesnt work the way you want it to. the overall management is kinda broken so it gets crazy difficult juggling everything even when you have unlimited money.
  5. rear top-mounted intercooler without fans... hmmmm. those cars be air-cooler, doesnt look like there room for water-cooling. as cool as it is, looks like you could either drive it mildly on the street or put your foot down waiting for the inevitable bang. Mind you, the sub-frames of the 930 (shared with the BMW E28 apparently) are amazing.
  6. Work will most likely get cancelled for that weekend, so if it does, I'd like to come down and help out. so put me down as a maybe, perhaps? helped out with cones and setting up last year, but happy to do scruitineering and spotter.
  7. steam powered is good. paying for alpha testing? geez. Looks like theyre adding new gear, tweaking the engine, adding a shit ton of set pieces and will somehow make the campiagn squeeze it all in. Let's hope its not too "battlefield", but at the same time, its gonna have to be a hell of an improvement to make me want to buy it. I have a feeling the unpredictable AI and a strict campaign may hamper it.
  8. always avoided car loans like the plague... even when you do the math, it always goes over.
  9. what kind of stuff you do for the 3-point star?
  10. Interesting theory. Were you waiting for it too? Got to the end of the pier before we'd heard theyd cancelled. Everyone just sat around to enjoy the scenery anyway, and it was an amazing sunset. Some navy dude was sent out to tell us it had been canned, and said the plane had taken off, they noticed something not right, landed and had a look and apparently it was much worse than they thought. (doesnt make sense choronologically, but whatever) I reckon its funny because it highlights the lack of maintenance and tight-budget priorities of the defence forces you hear about. and also that it was supposed to be a celebration of the longest service record of any aircraft in RAAF history, is that a good thing? lol
  11. coilovers are progressing on the pulsar. gotta love beam suspension

  13. anyone ever wanted to design your own car and engine? http://automationgame.com/ http://www.youtube.com/user/AutomationGame/videos?view=0 just downloading the demo now. engine testing looks like fun. eco car or supercar.

  17. i dont know how people get themselves into those positions and then complain about it. sure she might be controlling, but he obviously agreed to it, or she did it behind his back and he didnt really mind. its really not that hard to be open with people (if you have nothing to hide).
  18. thats a lot of money for a tune. no rain in ringwood. cloud clearing
  19. you obviously never played Operation Desert Storm
  20. 2nd worst controlled ever designed after the dreamcast
  21. that attitude is still better than what keeps Nintendo's fans interested. oh em gee Zelda is coming out. oh wow, a new mario game, this time Luigi's sister Lasagne gets kidnapped by Kooper Troopers skeletor 2nd cousin.
