  1. Hot copper been saying this for 18 months. Waiting for all their "hard work" to pay off.
  2. I'm in the green as of today.
  3. Is that really her car?
  4. The only thing a tiida is an upgrade for is a motorbike... A safety upgrade.
  5. I only study mma. Boxing is weird. Green managed to beat mundine. Anything could happen
  6. I'm happy to chat. Need breaks from work every 5mins at the moment.
  7. sounds like a good event. ill hang around for a bit in the morning. Any volunteers needed? (not a CAMS official, yet)
  8. the triumph is calling you. nobody really likes mustangs anyway
  9. yeah the look of it is growing on me. Since ive never driven one, i cant comment on what its like the drive. Theres a bunch of reasons why I dont want it. - Most people convert to electric ignition because old car. I probably would want to too - drum rear brakes. - rust is always a concern, even if car has none visible. (not sure how im going to check the fuel tank...) - not fast enough for my liking. fast mods is more money, less reliability. apparently they're about 1000kgs, but the nameplate says 1300kgs ??? surely not that heavy... - electrics are pretty damn nasty. ive become pretty fastidious and would want to re-wire the entire thing, which further takes it away from "original" spec. - I dont have space and i dont want space for more cars. - 2x project cars and rarely being home is hard enough as it is. - I would prefer a sunbeam Alpine if I had to choose a british coupe If I had a mortgage or something and got rid of the gloria, then yeah, i'd probably tinker with it and hold onto it. I dont think they will fetch big money like its older cousins in the near future, so dont see it as an investment. However, its relative simplicity and cheap parts plus that old car character make it tempting...
  10. People have sold off for dumber reasons. Also this week delay was unplanned, which is not great for morale/confidence.
  11. triumph doesnt look too bad in pictures. you cant see the overspray... Considering it hasnt been washed or cleaned in 10 years, it doesnt look too shabby.
  12. Didn't sink as much as I thought after that announcement. Woukd expect something a bit less vague than "minor tweaking"
  13. This is how they (RACV in my experience) are with non-GTR imports so maybe a claim or 2 have made them reconsider their gameplan.
  14. Hamish referencing that dude on YouTube, you so dank.
  15. SURELY it would be a pajero diesel engine? Traversely mounted FWD engine would sense. But fark that would be the worst driving car ever. I wonder if it's cable throttle the length of the car/bus...
  16. Vspec performance only sell/fit parts and do basic servicing.
  17. Good luck with that. Lot of camber, but not sure it's gonna be enough! Wider guards on GTR need 4-6 degrees to fit 10.5 wide +15 on the rear I think. Gtst will be harder. Then you got another 33mm to go with those sized wheels.
  18. that limo? bullshit. i'd be surprised if it could do 100km/h 9.3sec must the stock Fairlane time.
  19. what the f**k. why would you do this. https://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Ford-Fairlane-1997/SSE-AD-2267695/?Cr=47
  20. World's first stanced triumph.
  21. I should make my triumph project go public for sourcing funds. Anyone want a share?
  22. I am no fool. My car is in better condition and will advertise for marginally less than them.
  23. Ummm not sure what it's worth to me now. So far owes me $70 tow, and $150 car cover because I didn't think my sisters mazda 2 hatch cover would fit it but is actually perfect... 2 tyres have gone borderline flat and it's shocking to push because I think one of the front disc brakes has "locked". If you're interested Martin, you need to come see the car. I'm open to offers. I haven't bought any new parts for it yet, but was going to start in the next 2 weeks. Even just to try and get the motor running and rolling. (replace fuel, get friend to play around with the carbies, new oil/coolant/filters, sort brakes somehow). Car hasn't run in 10years so it's gotta be done.
  24. No idea. They start at $5k on Gumtree in average condition. $9k on carsales for a neat version. I was gonna aim for the $4-5k region, just to get interest and move it. No point aiming high and playing the waiting game. I don't mind cleaning up and let the car sell itself. Though not sure what to do if multiple parties interested.
  25. Legend. I've made a list of things to do with the Triumph, it's not surprising and not hard, just takes time. Still predicting $1000 plus tyres to get it where I'm happy to sell it. Really depends on how much additional is needed for RWC. Need to find someone who isn't interested in making money off stupid shit, maybe I do the ol' leave something obviously deliberately to keep them happy?
