  1. Im kinda surprised you can get it off the shelf with your shoulders and height. I struggle with getting shoulder width to match neck thickness, then pants length with waist. Damn people are either too skinny, too tall to too big. And im none of those.
  2. So when you say fitted, how does that work at Myers? Buy it, then get it altered elsewhere? Only suit I've ever bought was like $300 or so for wool (wool blend maybe?) at like an outlet and fitted it there. I don't mind forking out for quality, even I can spot a shiny nylon-like suit. But yeah, $1000 is pushing it. Will need a shirt to go with it... Peter Jackson generally has broad range of sizes...
  3. No one else with suit recommendations? Martin? Rick?
  4. Used to run 7's. Would misfire on Sandown straight after 2-3 laps. Car needs a good 5-10mins of warmup anyway, had no issues with 8's on the street. Replace the plugs almost every service. No Fouling. I always supply spares when going to a tuners and no one mentioned anything about too cold. Currently running 6's since switching to CDI, so we'll see what happens.
  5. Need a new suit. Mostly middle class formal event use. Handful times a year. Maybe a work function or interview or two. Don't want to spend a fortune, but don't want "cheap". Prefer local than sending measurements overseas.... Recommendations? Suggestions?
  6. I appreciate the input guys, but I think you're misunderstanding my question and why I'm asking. I'm not chasing better turbo response, or to reduce lag. This is simply sub-3000rpm driveability and lower idle is what I'm trying to improve. I dont care about peak power, and I'm aware smaller cams will shift the power band. I'm looking for input running OEM cams on a built valve train. The GTiR head is mechanical/solid (not lash/hydraulic like regular SR heads) so camshaft choices are generally aggressive. The car was previously running Tomei 260 Procams and it wasn't any friendlier to drive. This is a track-focused car, but I do drive it on the street. And you're right Dale, I should speak to my tuner about the setup and potential improvements.
  7. Obscure car club meets? Where was my invite?
  8. Traralgon Toyota don't carry stock for 2006-2011 Hilux front rotors. And takes them over a week to get stock from Melbourne. It's probably the most common hilux model in gippsland and a consumable part. They stock the brake pads but "we don't replace brake pads unless the rotors are done at the same time". So why would you stock one and not the other??
  9. https://hotcopper.com.au/threads/melbourne-88ers.3535713/#post-25763781 I picture it in my head a scene similar to ^ that, but I know it would be the complete opposite.
  10. Yeah good move. See if it hits a new low tomorrow from pommy influence, but I'm just gonna wait it out. They still haven't used artificial lift yet... 11,000 ft is a long way.
  11. You could see through time and cause cataracts with those headlights, dayum
  12. There is a Melbourne 88E shareholder meet up tonight, you should go meet some of your new pals. I picked up 80,000 shares this morning for cheap, so that's paid for by approx tax return.
  13. I'll eventually get around to moving 500 photos across 3 forums to a new host. 1 liek = 1 prayer
  14. What sort of issues do people have if plugs too cold? If I run 8's on the street... Would I be better off saving 8's for track days only?
  15. 0.86 The engine specs have been through 3 different tuners, one leaned it out pretty heavy at 2500rpm and it was better but still not nice. Cams were dialled in by engine builders as per spec sheet provided. Not sure on timing.
  16. GTX2867. +0.2 comp ratio. 98 fuel. FWD/AWD SR, so not really comparable to RWD for power figures
  17. Run iridiums in the Gloria. Great for stock car. Coppers in the pulsar.
  18. I get my BKR8's from Springvale Autobarn. or Bursons. i cant rememeber. I got a box of em.
  19. Thats not a bad idea. f**k you photobucket.
  20. I'm not sure yet... Got some stuff on from 11am to 1pm so it's not really convenient. But we'll see.
  21. Heat soak? If the piping it's mounted to is cold? I was driving it on a mild 20's degree afternoon a few months ago and it was showing ~45 degrees when cruising at 80, so something is not right. It's mounted to the piping maybe 10cm from the mouth of the plenum
  22. Well, its been extremely slow going for a bunch of reasons, but no need to get stuck into too many details. Long story short: intake side came off, installed new vacuum fittings into the intake runners, re-positioned aftermarket coolant sensor to stock location (which is underneath the ITBs), stripped some threads in the head while doing this... bit of stuffing around later and its all back together and running! So running industrial vacuum lines and fittings from Pirtek. They were compact and cheap. So far they seem to do the job. When on the road I've noticed high intake temps, which had me concerned about engine airflow issues or even intercooler issues, but when I was running the engine for ~10mins in the garage after putting coolant back in the motor, I had a look at the ECU... (engine was off when taking the photo, hence the voltage). The intercooler piping was cold, so not sure how or why im getting 80 degrees on charge temp sensor. The sensor is brand new, so I'll look into the ECU config and see what standard its set to. Went to a Nissan/Datsun meet last weekend with some pulsars. I've sold the OZ wheels so once I get a leaking AD08R fixed I can put the TE37's back on. Then after I take it to the DownShift meet later in the month, I'll book it in to a motorsport wiring place to get my new Racetech DASH2 wired up. Probably get a combo AFR/boost gauge installed as well. I picked it because it takes RS232 and will (hopefully) be plug'n'play with the Autronic ECU. Bought it directly from Racetechnology in the UK and wound up around $850AUD delivered, which I was pretty happy with. I'm also starting to look into sourcing some OEM camshafts and possibly installing them +re-tune and see how different the dyno graph and driveability is. Hopefully that happens before the end of the year.
  23. ohhh this is at lunch time... thought it was at night.
  24. faaaarrrrkkkk Mo, put these on the new commowhore. every northern suburbs person with Simmons will be pthalo green with envy https://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/f223769805
