Stock camshafts on built motor This isnt for an RB engine, but I thought it might help others who could be curious or for future reference. Does anyone have an experience with built motors running OEM-spec cams? My SR20 has had a lot of porting work done, plus Ti retainers/upgraded valve springs, aftermarket exhaust manifold, bigger turbo etc. Has been running big cams in the past and I'm really curious to see how much more "driveable" and how much low-down can be improved by going back to stock cams. I am looking for some ideas or feedback before I commit money to OEM cams + installation + re-tune. For reference: current cams are 272 duration, 11/12mm lift. OEM are supposedly 248 duration, 10mm lift.

I was checking out Kn's Factory in Japan (part of Kanagawa Nissan dealership), because they made a rare strut brace for the Y34 that I have, and found all these Nismo bits for Juke, Note and Leaf. http://www.kanagawa-nissan.co.jp/kns2/tuning/nismo/leaf/performancepackage.html http://www.kanagawa-nissan.co.jp/kns2/nismocar/noto/notomenu.html http://www.kanagawa-nissan.co.jp/kns2/nismocar/juke/juke.html

my first N15 SSS. I miss the N13, but probably not worth the effort. The N15 was in decent condition, mechanically great, didnt have any of the typical issues that others did. Engine was refurbished after it was semi-lunched by the previous owner when I bought it. I bought another N15 with heaps of mods, and while it came with some nice goodies, in hindsight I should have just kept the first one and gone all-out with it instead

Caterham. Your missus and kids will love the wind through their hair... Except have to be one passenger at a time. Will feel fast without breaking the speed limits! Motorkhana and hill climb safe! Ford engine mods are plentiful! Registerable open wheeler! Be the envy of all your golf mates! -

Don't worry, this is just another action Dan thread where he knows what he wants but doesn't do anything about it [emoji14] -
You may have won this round...

Hang on, who do you currently work for again? Have done shovel work. Don't deserve to get paid a whole lot for it, but it's not fun.

Y'all here complaining about $300 for someone to drive to your house, use materials, fix something and then drive off. But at the same time people here have been discussing hourly charge out rates for IT staff to sit at their desk and take 3 piss breaks an hour for $270+ If it cost $300 to see how easy a job is and what materials to use, so you can DIY it in future... Maybe it's not so bad.

Certainly not more tightly packed on the exhaust side. E-W vs N-S engines both have advantages and disadvantages for access. -

I don't really know Evos all that well, but added cost would really only be labour as aftermarket prices are pretty similar. Only real extra complexity would be the diffs. Stock ecu is tunable too. -

Construction industry is still profitable... Because at the end of the day everyone needs to make money. Except the buyers. Or essential services need to keep running, because they're essential. And people have no choice but to pay it. But no one gives a f**k about your garden.

For FWD enthusiasts you just can't go passed a Honda with a turbo. It makes me sick seeing what off the shelf parts they have available. It literally feels like the perfect shopping list race car with less labour than every other commuter car. -
Just seems funny requiring a bank to buy currency that does away with banks. Pretty sure it's all direct deposit, unless buying off someone specifically.

using a bank to buy bitcoins Go to Revs tonight at about 2am and look for someone with a backpack, they'll help you out.

but why are we all here talking about broken laptops and motorbikes? if we had just pulled our heads in, we could have been part of the million-dollars-by-30 club run by our old mate. If only we had moved to western suburbs and spoke chinese...

I still think TV2 is too risky. It was only a fortnight ago the company had no income and $700,000 in monthly expenses, with impending voluntary administration. Now all of a sudden they have income from money they were owed and now contracts in the pipeline. Brazil is the next target... what happened to the stuff in Africa not that long ago?
