  1. Lol famous last words. Read through piggaz thread and see the effort he has gone to to get him happy with using the turbo (i know its piggaz, and he has endless cash, but its certainly a lot of work and ECU shit too).
  2. Don't knock a shift kit until you've driven a good one. Even if not for the drags, the difference on the road is night and day.
  3. lol, so does everyone else who has a car that sits out of the front of Edge. got curious about supra prices. lol. https://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Toyota-Supra-1996/SSE-AD-3503755/?Cr=3 " The interior and exterior is in perfect original condition. Unmarked. " every drive is always excitement in a super car " Body modification kit and additional three coats of optic silver paint by pro body shop." I am the second driver and owner of the car, bought from a Japanese business friend " Body kit: Calsonic USA (exclusive one off ): " 275 X18 "inch rear..Max..super grip. "
  4. did they buy subway? I'm guessing subway. Pats car isn't too far from being on the road, and that build got a lot bigger than originally planned...
  5. I'd like to hit the drags one day, not caring about times, I'm after trap speed yo.
  6. Just stick the same factory that 50% of brake brands use for big brake kits out of Taiwan. Cost price is like $700-900USD for a pair plus shipping for 4-6pots including pads/rotors/lines. Its just that most brands put decent mark-up on it. You can get them without a brand on the side of them, I dont know how you could get a set off them though... Source: I got sponsored a set and it included cost-price invoicing.
  7. What tyres and sizes are you running? what wheels? Making sure the alignment is up the scratch can help a lot too (no camber in the rear, or minimising camber when squatting on launch). With an auto, I think a shift kit will improve the car dramatically. I think it would be noticeable on a timeslip due to the quicker change between gears and not the soft/sluggish overlap between 2 gears. I'm not too cluey on the 5-speed autos, but MV Automatics in SA should have a decent kit available for it? Good on you for keeping at it.
  8. I could push it across the finish line... Or you know, tow it.
  9. BorgWarnerlinesaustralia Toby, before jumping too fast onto the EFR bandwagon, you really look into how much effort it will be to bolt one on to your setup? Do you need a new exhaust manifold/hotside piping/wiring for turbo speed sensors/new oil & water fittings/boost controller.
  10. It's a lot of money for an experience... And that's about it. Again, would go for a Caterham. At least they are proper registerable and the duratec/zetec motors are known quantities with info and spares.
  11. this thing looks like fun: http://www.donkervoort.com/en/cars/donkervoort-d8-gto/ $200kAUD. I'd probably prefer a Caterham though. Audi drivetrain puts me off a bit.
  12. As long as me family gets enough to live off and i can drink tinnies through a straw, then ride or die. Straya
  13. ... Unless their kids ride bikes too.
  14. VY statesmans used to have 1.5 stars at the time and that never stopped nobody
  15. In western Sydney, anything is possible given enough kebabs
  16. And sound like ass. But as a 6cyl it can't be helped. I didn't enjoy how much they glazed over the details like any many and his dog can do it.... Gives idiots ideas. Solid rear axel and huge diff? Oh yeah just chuck it in
  17. I've been trying to hunt down a copy and mods for NFS Porsche 2000. Was my favourite of the series. Most detailed cars, nice maps, handling is very average but around 2010 people were modding it. Trying to find those files now is a challenge though
  18. In your pics do you have stock wheels or the concaves? I think your only market is enthusiasts and people who can't afford the newest FPVs.
  19. Lol yeah Honda was not a suggestion, I'm just surprised they were eligible for import so quickly. Will you be kicking yourself in 3 years time if the GS was worth 50-60k?
  20. I'm all about the newer Lexus' these days. Can get a decent one for much less than 45k... actually scratch that, theres not much other than the IS350's, which are really holding their value. RC350 might be cheap enough by the time you sell up. Wont be as powerful but much nicer everywhere else https://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Lexus-RC-2015/SSE-AD-4573607/?Cr=11 Didn't you just setup the Falcon for track? brakes and cooling?? Find something cool to import. Maybe you'll be in the market for an E52 soon if your missus decides to "seal the deal" lol. YOu never know what might be eligible for import in 2018. I actually really liked these in Japan. its like the kei version of an 86 for tuning. though, only in japan limits who makes stuff for them. Can get them landed for mid-20's basically brand new.
  21. i got invited but didnt go. If I had of known it was a Northside meet I wouldnt have even considered going. Mighty Car Mods made a 9sec Barra car, wheres your 9sec pass Leigh? you got 2 more cylinders and bigger guards. Or are you all about those 2 wheel cars now? gonna sell the ford and move to a smaller, lighter and less fuel efficient subaru?
  22. zero steps forward. 1 step back. f**k aluminium heads. except when they work ok and theres no problems.
  23. Details?
