Your list of to do mods doesn't include an ecu or piggyback... So by the time you do that plus flex fuel, it's not going to be a cheap exercise for very little gain. Do a proper exhaust, use the E85 money for exhaust manifolds (coz they're cool).

I think Vic Pol are back on the defect train. Guy in Vic picked up his new S180 Toyota crown from the transport company (previous owner in QLD), 20mins after picking it up gets pulled over. Defected for low height (didnt test it, just put it on the fine), loud exhaust (stock exhaust, again didnt test it. and everyone knows toyota V6's are quiet as fuark) but also done for mexican poke (because large wheels and car not lowered or any camber, cop it sweet). Maybe he was driving like a tool, i dunno. but this is pointy-spoiler-stays worthy. f**k this gay earth.

hmmmm. yeah the piping does get warm. More investigation needed.

so got new piping and a bunch of other stuff done, tuned, driveable etc. Took it for a punt around in late December. low 20 degrees at dusk, check intake temps while taking it easy driving home: 45-50 degree intake temp.Thought that was a bit high, spoke to some people and they said check the intercooler. Bosch style plastic temp sensor fitted just before the plenum. metal weld-on bung, all stainless piping. 2.5" piping, intercooler is 600x300x80, 3" inlet and outlet. Apparently its a PWR core "custom" made at Race Radiators in dandenong. Was spray painted black very roughly by me. Intercooler sits in front of a small oil cooler, and a custom radiator behind the oil cooler. Intercool is approx 12+ years old, few squashed fins but mostly in good nick. 1) do these intake temps seem acceptable for a small car cruising around at 80km/h? 2) does this intercooler seem quality? worth replacing for something $$$? I cant think of an easy way to test intake temps before or after cooler for comparison. Need to get another temp sensor, wiring, weld-on bung etc.

How are 18 years old going to register their illegally modified 86's for $30k without just car around? I guess there's not many NA supras getting around with 10k stereos and 500 wheels anymore... Times are a changing. You COULD get a full cage engineered. But who the f**k is going to run normal seats and a full cage? Fixed back seats not allowed. Then you'd need engineered for every other modification. Engineer says good luck or pay me thousands to say no.

Lighten up Hamish. Would take 2 more F&F movies over another expendables movie ANYDAY. hopefully by Fast 10 they'll be in space. Yes they do need more Street races and imports, but they cater to the masses now. And I don't think anyone involved in the creation of these movies knows cars that well. With new cars manufacturers are willing to sponsor cars. Old cars are just because 'murica. And superstars are for kids and the Chinese. Movie is killing it in China.

well im working away from home for the next 4 months. Better hand over some cars to some workshops to get stuff done. need eastside Auto transmission (or decent regular mechanic) to do some auto box work on the gloria. fix minor leak, replace small gasket, swap oil and see if it fixes sluggish shifts. greg?
