  1. If I had a choice between M3 and GTR it would be tough. Not sure which one would appreciate in value more... BMW f**kery vs GTR f**kery. Would sell /10
  2. Seems odd to do something so simple with an electric motor and crappy Chinese products charged at a premium. I was thinking of having it early in the system and be more of a bypass valve, not like a muffler that blocks flow when closed
  3. I've been trying to think of a way to do a mechanical valve. Like with a lever or rod you can access. Maybe just use a PVC valve. Get sponsorship from Reese.
  4. I've been thinking of varex-style solutions because straight pipe SC430 sounds like fun, but obviously only at the right time/place (3UZs are notoriously quiet even with straight pipe, compared to other V8s). Driving behind one of those Porsche mini SUVs and I noticed the outer exhaust tips have motorised valves in them, if fitted to a cheaper car might be a worthwhile wreckers find.
  5. Because I'm a law abiding citizen who has drastically improved my driving record in the last 5 years. Rather than get cheaper rego (the logical reward), I get off one minor offence every 2 years
  6. Got done speeding in the domain tunnel when it was at 60km/h. Cameras adjust with speed, eh? well there ya go. Gonna try for the good behavior letter and hope it lets me off. Haven't had an offense in around 3 years I think.
  7. Do falcons without upgraded sound system still have room to install an aftermarket sub? Plenty of gear to fit falcons floating around. Im sure itd be cheaper than factory options, probably no difference if secondhand.
  8. looking at parts for 3UZ v8 gives me bad ideas. http://www.ppeengineering.com/products/lexus/gsscandls.php http://www.transgo.com/products.php?prd=SK-A650&homeinclude=catalog&category_id=173&parent_id=45&product_id=266&countdisplay=1&start=0&addcountview=Yes add Harrop supercharger. mission accomplished.
  9. Assume some things will go wrong or break once you take the car. There is always issues, and best to be prepared. Make sure owner is not a dickhead, obviously. Check condition of tyres and things when first inspection, then compare it to when you go to pick it up (if they did monster skids and drift sesh before handing over the keys. happened to me). But yeah, unless its totally f**ked or a piece of shit, you should come out on top.
  10. How good is it. I got out through to Australian tech support once I asked for the complaints department... I'll remember that for next time.
  11. I did some searching and didnt find much. Few similar era skylines in Japan, but none had prices. http://www.carsensor.net/usedcar/detail/CU3730457392/index.html?TRCD=200002 http://www.carsensor.net/usedcar/detail/CU5575180273/index.html?TRCD=200002 Might be worth asking some members of Classic Skylines Australia. Their facebook page might be the best bet. https://www.facebook.com/Classicskylines/
  12. I press Q and E to lean in CS and nothing happens. Fix your damn game valve, gosh
  13. I got nothing but praise for Internodes customer service and billing/sales. Now that i have an NBN box installed i would switch back to them in a heartbeat Though guy at work is trying to convince me MyRepublic's $60 high speed NBn unlimited plan is the way to go
  14. I know the telstra is the worst, but sometimes it would be nice to be pleasantly surprised. Day 10 of no broadband and someone today suggested to pickup a dongle from the store and call billing and get them to take data from your plan to the dongle. Why hasn't any of the numerous people I've spoken to not suggested this before??! f**king hell. And one of my old friends from school does or used to work for telstra as a complaints manager or something, he's been sending emails or something and lo n behold nothing has changed. Call centre shooting emails left right and centre and nothing happens. They talk like it's a strange situation and quite rare, yeah bullshit. 50,000 TIO complaints a year directed to Telstra don't lie.
  15. Was hoping to make it to this, but something may have come up
  16. srs though, a friend of mine got his car wrapped a week ago and it doesnt look like vinyl at all. real VIP too. He hasnt revealed details because its being unveiled at an event in NZ this weekend. But im interested to know the brand of wrap
  17. do iiiiiiit
  18. VIP! I like it. Needs more wheel. Love a good long wheelbase
  19. That's just F1 in general isn't it? Would rather just go to PI historics. Or sports sedans.
  20. You said they over calculated ie estimations... But sure, send me your credit card details and I'll transfer the money I saved
  21. Looks like I've cracked the gas bill mystery. Meter reader got a digit wrong... Used 25 cubic meters, not 225 cubic meters. I guess a 3 can sort of look like a 5? Meter was still covered in cobwebs
  22. Let's all go buy Aussie.... Imma go get a the new astra.
  23. its only you and hamo who dont do cars no more. I commented on something on facebook and the notorious Krysztof got butthurt. Am I getting him confused with that guy that is a living punchline in VWL?
  24. you need a boost gauge. cut your actuator vacc line in half. put boost tee on eitherside of cut vacc line. Set to like 1-2 turns off lowest setting. drive. note down boost. adjust accordingly.
