  1. Do you have a theory why cooler piping keeps coming off? Wiping grease remover over silicone joins and piping usually sorts my issues popping off because of super fine oil coverage.
  2. Land auctions this week, no guarantee it will go down. Next announcement should have quantitive results, so less likely to decrease price unlike previous announcements.

  5. lol @ Nissan V8 supercars garage sale this weekend. put up some sample photos on facebook, nek minnit photo album turns into Drift Sales. people from all over the world asking for prices and if stuff has ever been raced with before. someone tagging Todd Kelly for a price haha. People wanting to buy individual (used) pistons and heads and build a motor lol because those Nissan V8 heads are going to bolt straight onto your 2015 Nissan Patrol.

  8. its funny because america's V8's had barely changed since the 40's. and when they went to alloy heads and had to change due to oil crisis, all their new motors went to shit. pretty funny really. FWD V8? i wouldnt say no haha but when would that ever be a good idea?

  13. Real drivers just hold onto the steering wheel properly. Mech diff makes a world of difference though. Pretty sure most east-west mid engined cars run ok without equal driveshaft lengths. Obviously dont steer with those wheels, but its not a deal breaker... Unless 450hp+

  15. I once gave the pulsar a good run on fentree gully rd cnr of blackburn. Road turns to shit from all the trucks. Afterwards i was scared. Was the dumbest f**king thing, ill never be doing that again. Torque steer with road that slippery and uneven = instant P-plater VN death.

  19. It was over $60/h. So go back to $26 or more an hour. Any sparky working for a large company non-team leader/supervisor in a permanent position/location over $40/h is getting a great deal. Some guys i know on EBA agreements get 2% payrise bi-annually. So when people sit there for years, wages get ridiculous.
  20. $60/h electricians at CUB. cant blame them for trying to lower the wage legally. now they have production targets so they cant sit on their ass all day. union been doing the rounds, getting people to couch up to help those who have been on strike for 6months. Will the people now back at work be on a payment plan to pay those people back? ETU put up a billboard on the monash, ads in the paper, and sponsored facebook links telling everyone to boycott CUB products (wonder how much that would have cost?), and now done a 180 telling members to now focus on CUB beers. Union then had celebratory drinks today at 12pm. isn't everyone supposed to be at work?

  23. Pffft polishing isn't worth the time or money. Sounds like an excuse to keep your motor disassembled for another month Is the car going to be tuned on Barry's dyno?
  24. The pulsar was at the tuners for a while. Wiring had to be changed for a few things, which is a real shame. Autronic manual can be vague and unprofessionally written... also auto elec made some errors. It's been tuned and I have a dyno graph, but dont want to share any info until I've actually driven it properly. I picked it up from the workshop and started to have issues a few mins down the road without really putting my foot down. Long story short: it shouldnt have left the workshop, but I was lucky to get it home under its own power. I'd been in contact with the tuner, altered a setting for coolant-temp vs rev-limit that improved the car at low rpm dramatically, but something is still amiss. Then it wouldnt start. then 2 weeks later it started first time. Then it doesnt start again. The autronic had an error for "too few cyl pls/s" but it could be cleared and didnt come up again if the car started. When idling the Sync/Cyl is at 53% or so, so im suspecting something isnt right with the new crank trigger or CAS disc. All this is annoying, but everything else is fine: engine temps are great, fans kick in and work wonders, vented bonnet does its job, intercooler piping is secure, exhaust sounds good, brakes work great, new 340L/h pump still has head room, no fuel leaks, catch can works well and stock electrics still work (minus central locking, which went with the old alarm system). The shifter linkages need some adjustment as slotting into second is a bit rough.
  25. This is how a motorbike should sound: like a small 4 cyl sports car. Also think ive narrowed down the pulsar issue... i think the now-independant crank trigger and cam trigger are out of sync. now sure how or why. CAS disc is firmly in place, may need to get tuner to check that they're lined up correctly. After sitting untouched for 2 weeks, it started first time... but yet after that it just cranks forever. I'm just shitty i gotta organise and pay for a tow truck when it really should never have left the workshop...
