Have you tried measuring AC volts instead across the knock sensor, as a comparison? Have you tried with a different knock sensor? Or a new one? Or a different ECU even? You want help understanding what it's doing, that's fine, but you gotta help more than just saying you have a DC measurement. For all we know you could be measuring onto the wrong wires. Or the multimeter is a $20 Jaycar special.

I know what you mean, and personally feel similar for my own means. But freedom of choice and the ability to buy whatever you want (legally) is part of being an adult. So is money management. And poeole will chose to get loans for the car they want. The government will just take some more hidden costs off the top. Like pokies.

That doesn't help. What width? What offset? What spec tyres? If they don't fit properly the person doing the alignment might have wanted more camber to get them under the guards and recommended suspension arms.

I think the threshold should be $100k. $70k barely gets you a LandCruiser 70 dual cab (excluding additional costs). Well if you just need rear camber, only need rear camber and traction arms (same/similar as V35/Z33). For front, coilovers with camber adjustment on the top mount should be enough for -2 degrees or so. What wheel/tyre combo are you trying to fit?

I just find the title of the tax misleading. Is it for luxury cars or just any car retailing for over $66k? People want to tow their big boats/caravans/horse floats/hay bails/water tanks. Front lower control arms? T-demand do a set for the F50 (which should fit). Nagisa Auto also do some. Google it, find out the price for yourself and then decide it's not worth it. The front end is unique to Y34/F50 I believe. Can't even confirm if Y33 is same as Y34. I've done heaps of research on American forums regarding M45 and didn't find anything that was true.

Edge has a members car here and has been getting an engine rebuild for the last 2+ years, so no, I wouldn't go there personally. It's also not south east.

Edge have a huge workshop that is often over flowing with cars. Sabbadin automotive are reputable and I've found them organised/responsive. Especially compared to other shops. I've had good experiences with Springy Motors too.
