  1. I used to run yellow jackets on my stock engine and after less than 5000kms one of them died. Never again.
  2. Maybe buy a turbo one and stick it in the shed and tinker with it. But get something else to learn to drive/commute
  3. Its pretty sad that I made enough interest when I was 16-18 to pay my phone bill each month and I don't make that much now off a lot more savings
  4. Nope, as long as I deposit at least $200 a month and make no withdraws. If neither conditions are met it defaults to 0.01%, but can be brought back to 2.6% if conditions are met the next month. Calculated daily. https://www.bankwest.com.au/personal/savings-accounts/hero
  5. Seems I should check my commonwealth bank savings account interest rate more often.... 0.5%? what a fuggen joke. so moving savings (that isnt going into shares) to bankwest (which is owned by commonwealth) for 2.6%. Good times.
  6. Maybe. They still get sick? And eat clothing?
  7. This has always put me off owning big bits of land. Everyone just says "get cattle" like they grow on trees and dont cause more issues. mo livestock, mo problems
  8. Well that's what OP did and what I was referring to
  9. Then it's not DIY, it's using a tool. But even then, I'd bet money it's still not spot-on.
  10. Have you got issues with the CVT? Would need TCU + gearbox at a minimum. Not sure about ECU's. If you're in Aus there have been some wrecked Y34's, Import Nation parted one out a while ago.
  11. DIY calculating anything with a loan is 99% wrong, 100% of the time
  12. I use Nismo ones and haven't had any issues, after I broke 2x sets of project mu's (part my fault, part workshops faults)
  13. Not selling pulsar, I ain't gonna quit on it. Got too many goodies and good pulsars are already hard to find, let alone in the future. Its a great car, it just doesn't get the time and effort it deserves. I want to "finish" the gloria, just need some wheel work and suspension arms.
  14. So@emts how did your Mrs deal with you being away all the time? Did you manage to keep up with house maintenance etc? Looks like I'll be working rural for majority of this year (again) Planning on moving house in a few months too. Not sure what I'm gonna do with the cars... Gloria is reliable and cruisey, drove it for around 4 days over the holidays. Was good. I don't want to give up on the pulsar but I keep paying rego and cbf/not enough time to tinker with it and diagnose. Even getting it taken to workshops to be fixed is a huge hassle. If I chuck it into storage and stop paying rego, it'll never get RWC, even if eligible for club reg. I could do ultimate dodgy and swap VIN's etc and there seems to be lots of illegal import cars floating around (civics/legacys/integras) but probably won't end well.
  15. You want to an R35? You used to be cool.... ... Or do you just want to chop everything at the lights?
  16. Yeah nah not gonna get an N1 in half decent condition for 10x that. There's a small group of people who treat the N1 as some huge investment. And it's quite hard to get cars or even parts in Japan for them... I'd like one, but not bending over backwards for one
  17. I don't mind the Nismo Note... Closest thing we have to a Nismo pulsar. Looks heaps better than C12
  18. You after like an OEM seat upgrade or a proper bucket seat? Aftermarket seats need seat rails and mounting the rails is what requires fabrication generally.
  19. Sorry if I missed in the post but are you using the Cima auto and TCU? If not, I don't think the stock ECU will work (or work well)
  20. Chicken or egg scenario, really

  22. Nothing worse than wasting your youth doing FIFO Except maybe getting addicted to drugs or something. At least it's be fun for a while. Trying to time my re-entry into TLX... Looking good soon, but all stocks on my watchlist been nothing but dropping for weeks now
  23. Please list the size/offset of the wheels and the location
  24. I'm not familiar with the engine or what it can flow/handle, but the GTX gen1 or gen2 is a significant step up from the GT series. Much bigger/better compressor map suited for higher boost. If your setup can handle 20psi of a gtx28 turbine, I think you'll see a noticeable improvement. The compressor housing is quite a step up compared to the GT in size, but looks like you've got the space for it I went from GT2871 to GTX2867 gen1 years ago and very happy with the results.
  25. How the hell does one become a career counselor? Attempt to work in 50 different industries over their career?
