There's nothing worse than something going wrong and you did everything in your power to prevent it from happening. I know that feeling all too well. But yeah, that much visible metal is not a normal break in. On a magnetic sump plug it's usually quite a bit of metal but once you transfer to a rag its very very fine

I wouldnt recommend AD08R's unless you can put some decent heat into them, great for track but not always great on the roads if you want lots of grip all the time. RE002's were a good soft compound for me and also really love the Advan Sport V105 as a street tyre. horses for courses really.

Thats the other thing that makes my retirement project sounds stupid is the S2000 is basically what i want. Maybe a little smaller and lighter. And easier to work on. And i want to build another SR20.

great success hifive I'm still brainstorming my retirement project of convertible with ITB N/A SR20 RWD (or FWD, but think RWD would be more fun). Originally thinking Sunbeam ratrod-ish, then thought old skool Nissan Fairlady and it would be awesome but aint cheap and all are LHD plus tiny engine bay. MX5 would be the easiest option but i just hate looking at them and every man and his dog has one and i dont think i could ever own one.

so you've inspected the exhaust side of the turbo after the noise started?

If it was a howl it would be intake?? Or is it 100% exhaust? Maybe vband gasket/oring is stuffed?

I dont have much nostalgia for the classic NSX, in theory it would be a great car to own but my view is a little jaded. maybe because Maerica can get NSX's but not GTRs, so they go nuts on making abominations of the NSX platform. Ive seen that Jay Leno video and that new car has lots of interesting bits and pieces and even got my a little bit hyped for it. Its actually a supercar i dont mind looking at, for a change. would sell/10
