  1. That's money saved being on club reg, lucky dream boats.
  2. GTR coffee table, adds $10k equity.
  3. yep whats the likelihood Nissan will make the R35 better looking? 0% it would look 20% better without the coffee table though.
  4. project cars are just like houses to boring people. ever watched Grand Designs on TV? its like P-platers first turbo car. no idea what theyre doing, run out of money half way through the job and building the house around some crappy historical dump they think is worth keeping. * *Pulsar is excluded from the mentioned analogy
  5. Add $90k if you want power to the land. I think that's about the going rate
  6. hopefully should work now. attempted to watch a full F1 race. not particularly exciting. partly because track not that exciting + boring australian commentators. overall just feels like a huge hype and event for lots of inflated egos and money.
  7. Video: https://www.facebook.com/137996472946469/videos/1022770107802430/ The dude videoing can't be Australian... Who the f**k would carry on like that
  8. Thanks for the tip. I have all my sensors already, so wouldnt be using the supplied ones.
  9. 100k is a joke, but that isnt in that bad condition is it? if someone told me a similar car had 90k kms on the clock and just said it was from a snowy area and the local mechanic didnt know how to treat chassis rails, i would believe it.
  10. im surprised the i30 would have electric steering at all. drifters could probably come up with something nifty...
  11. a button that changes the steering rack ratio is fairly impressive. a car with 7 forward gears but only really uses 3 of them, not so much. and a speedo that goes 0-10-20-30-40-60-80, seriously, why??? just do it after 120. only used to autobahn and private roads anyway
  12. people were thinking the same thing in 2014. they will be around for some time longer. Whether they will be more expensive or not, who knows. its not going to be significantly more expensive though... just plan/budget for $10k, then you have options. Not scraping the bottom of the barrel $5k region. But what might be more interesting, are some of the cars that are going to be similarly priced in 2 years time... think of all the Eurotrash and more inconspicuous turbo cars that will be affordable in that time...
  13. negro plees, the f**kin auto is in Prius mode 24/7 which means 7th gear at +40km/h
  14. Got my 2x speeding fines from QLD. Both on the same road, same side-of-road-camera, two different days and different directions, both 70 in a 60 zone. Would have to have been poorly signed... Or maybe it's that damn non-linear Speedo on the golf hire car.
  15. I'm just wondering what setups everyone is running in the gauges/dashes/ECU department. Who is running 1 sensor and outputting to multiple devices? obviously in an ideal world, we would all be running full standalone with CAN bus and race dashes. For those of us without a $10k budget on electrical, there are options but seems to be a lot more effort involved making an effective and worthwhile setup. My predicament: Autronic SM4 with sensor inputs from: fuel pressure, oil pressure, oil temp, water temp, air temp, MAP. Gauges I would like to run: oil pressure, oil temp, water temp, AFR, boost. I tried to run my existing Defi DIN gauges in parallel to the Sensor-ECU signals, but Defi gear use their own retarded voltage ranges and self-check systems which means it didnt want to play ball. I want to avoid running 2x sensors for each parameter (if possible), for what info I can find, sharing a sensor signal with ECU and gauges should work fine if both use the same ranges (eg 0-5V). Original plan was to run Autometer gauges and AEM boost+AFR, but this 1Gauge unit I've heard about is an attractive option because it doesnt require CAN. http://1gauge.com.au/store.php
  16. K-pop fridays
  17. then you and alex can compare portfolios and complain about heavy taxing, VWL will be in full fruition
  18. yeah i guess track is much friendlier conditions. and you have more choice over how hard you want to push yourself. such a minor mistake is game over man, though.
  19. bikes are good eh "On Saturday i had a little motorbike accident in the Bush. Bike is in pretty good shape however after getting up and walking around, then a painful drive to the hospital, found out I have a fractured left hand, fractured right elbow, and a fractured vertebrae in my neck. Had surgery on the neck on Monday, came home yesterday, and with a bit of r&r should be back to my usual self in no time, apart from the very attractive necklace i have to wear for the next 4-6 weeks" but for those 10 rides or less a year, im free.

  22. Sandown Shannons Nationals on 2nd-3rd of April, free entry with CAMS licences. Would prefer that over F1. Get in on that Sports Sedan action
  23. Talk to anyone who does shares (but isnt a day trader) and they say to not watch it every hour. Though, i guess it cant be helped when birds is in here singing praises every few hours.
  24. It tumbled a bit in Feb, and then more than recovered. Shares go up and down. It'll bounce back, unless trump wins.
