  1. This is good timing Amber. Will be great if we can get club membership shiznit sorted beforehand so we can have details in the mag. Dale: Ben is selling his GTT. Is on eBay: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...&category=45571
  2. I'm in too.
  3. I'm heading up in the morning with BMT. I'll have my mobile and UHF radio with me. Might even fix the AM CB in the Lada...
  4. Dale: Hahaha - yeah. It was serviced on Wednesday and they washed it. Bastards. I forgot how red it is. My brother is taking it to Buller on Saturday - so It'll be nice and dirty for Sunday
  5. We'll be the poeple with the Skylines Look for either of these cars:
  6. Great idea AKT! The date is far enough away that we can plan a cruise/meet/bbq around it too. I like the idea of the GP, but there's no reason we can't just do the 30-lapper and have our own prizes.
  7. I'm taking the BBQ up in the Niva - so bring meat

I think there's another one on the 19th. My Lada mechanic has a Giocattolo (think Alfa Sprint with a 5.7L mid-mounted V8) and he'll be up that weekend. He wants some racing pointers - you'll have to help him out I'll come up that weekend as well. I need some help too

Leewah: Bummer. Are you keen to come up for the day as a spectator?
  10. At this stage - I am coming.
  11. I'll close this thread now. Main club thread is 'stickied' at the top of the page.
  12. Yeah - I posted it in General a while back. Guy who built it even replied to the posts! Is based on Primera platform (based on Pulsar, built in UK) and is a pretty neat job. Full details here: http://www.skymera.net
  13. Ant: I'm afraid the different clubs are completely separate. You'd have to speak to NSW about a cancellation and membership refund. Is a good question though. I'll speak to the NSW club people to see if we can work something out. BTW: I like your avatar
  14. After many months and much discussion we are getting very close to setting up and 'official' Skylines Australia Victorian club. Basically - we have decided on a social club with a paid membership. This membership will get you 'stuff' (t-shirt, card etc) and access to member events. There will be more events, and many kinds of events arranged. Having an official club makes organisation that much easier. For people who don't want to join, the forums will operate as they do now - with an unofficial events area for anyone to arrange goings-on (with some guidelines posted that must be adhered to). Nothing is finalised yet. We are sorting out all the legal and tax details now. Then we will start taking paid members. An FAQ document is available below that covers most of the common querstion. Please read it. If you have anything else to add - post it here, and I'll refine the document. Don't post a question until you have read the FAQ. We will have a large 'open' meet within the next couple of weeks (the weekend of 11/12 Oct being the most likely) where everyone can meet everone and talk about stuff
  15. Since March this year.
  16. Cheers to all those who came down. I felt we were harshly done by on our supply of chips. Beer made it OK though. Will post a sticky thread detailing what we have discussed and supply the FAQ for people to read. There will be another one next week (just as a catch up) but might think about a different location. Seems Wednesday night is a busy one at PAs. Thinking Whitehorse Tavern in Hawthorn. Big carpark and an amazing array of Chicken Parama
  17. Sounds exactly like my car. Fuel economy is shocking - but the flames are fun. Getting 02 sensor replaced on Monday. Will let you know how it goes.
  18. No problem. If you can come - great. If not, I'll post the minutes up here tomorrow. Is better if you can make it (will be another one next week) as everyone's input is valued.
  19. Are you keen to become an official member of the SAU Vic club? - if so come along to a members meeting. TONIGHT @ 7.30pm I would like to make this a regular time - and we'll start with one location, can move it around as time progresses. Date is starting from THIS Wednesday 1st October... When: Wednesday 7.30pm Where: Prince Alfred Hotel (PAs), Church St, Richmond. Near the river, opposite Mattel/Just Jeans building. Is a dark blue pub. Beer garden out the back. Nice. Parking: On Church or across the road in the Just Jeans/Country Road complex. Contact: Me - James @ 0417 037 520 - if you have any questions, or simply reply in the thread. So - why a meeting? We have been working on the club FAQ so that we can have a little bit of officaldom - giving members more involvement to make the club a bit more active. We will have paid membership, merchandise and members only functions - as a start anyway. Anyhoo - can discuss on Wednesday. James
  20. http://www.yellowpages.com.au Metal polishing Some specialise in wheels - I looked into it a few years ago, can't remember who I spoke to. They were in Morrabbin - was about $120 per wheel?
  21. Nope - Infernal, with an F http://www.infernalaffairs.com/
  22. There was a tread on this a while back. Some HK and J films with Sylines. One called Infernal Affairs had the baddies in an R33 GTR. Another one called 'legend of speed 2' had an R32 I think. Thread here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...lines+in+movies
  23. It's a nice photo though...
  24. Haha. How did you know I want them to crash Yeah - not too sure about it. Tix are $70, and I really don't care about the race - perhaps I should spend $30 on beer and watch it at home...
  25. Louise is working there - but not sure if I'll go or not... motorbikes aren't really my thing. Has anyone been before? What's it like? Anyone going who wants to hook up?
