Heh heh - Oyabun I couldn't imagine an upgrade from Endless. You'd have to register www.brownundies.com as a support service for your passengers.
-
Haha - shall do with the SMS. L's friend is only there for another few weeks, so will arrange to go before she leaves. And yeah - it was a 'brown pants' Sunday. The poor little guy was on his nose trying to get out of there. Looks much steeper from in the car. Perhaps I'll respray him pink with butterflies - just the thing for the Barbie fun-jeep

I had fun on Friday night You must come along next time E. B20 is such a bad place - but free drinks and being a little bit naughty downstairs in the 'schoolroom' made it all worth while. Slept most of Sat. Watched 'Childs Play' - mmmm. Classy. Had great day yesterday - market in the morning, 4WDing adventures before lunch (see below), a peek at the Oyabun Cefiro, a ride in Endless (still buzzin from that one - thanks boyos) and birthday beers for a buddy at the pub to finish it off. Plus... cops called this mornign with a possible lead on my stolen stuff. It's all good!

I can give you 10-hours a day worth of reasons it isn't fun. Not everyday, granted, but a lot of them recently :

Perhaps I should change my ID from 'Lada Owner' to 'fun sucker'

Heinemann Reed-Elsevier was established in the USA. Heinemann have offices in Port Melb (funny that) opposite an indoor go-karting facility. Heinemann offer some reference trade books (dictionarys etc) but are mainly focussed on secondary and higher ed educational publishing. They have many other arms covering primary and trade publishing which are in turn joint-affiliated with larger publishers - like Thomson Learning If you would like to contact any of the publishers - I can provide contact details. It's OK - I'll get back to work now

Wow - a publishing query. I hardly ever get these... Actually Ed - both Oxford and Cambridge have production and publishing facilities here in Melb (both in Port Melb). Cambridge Uni Press offer education textbooks for secondary and higher education markets, as well as localised prints of reference products. Really nice offices too Oxford Uni Press do produce an Australian 'localised' version of the dictionary amonst other reference material. They also publish material in the primary, secondary and higher ed markets.

I'd look it up if I only knew how to spell it.

Hey - did you have that movie with the guy who was in that movie last year?
-
Haha - the whole north/south hemisphere situation confuses them alot. I can't believe the number of people (Americans all) who have mentally wrestled with the 'if it's summer here, how can it be winter there - but when it's winter there it's summer here' concept like its some form of time-travel. My afore mentioned cab driver (bless his simple mind) even used it to rationalise the 'wrong side of the road' idea - in that we were all backwards and upside-down in Australia so it must make sense. I felt it cruel to mention England and Japan (both Northern hemisphere) also drive on the 'other' side as the realisation there was another country outside of Palm Springs was enough - 2 more may have caused an accident. Which indeed reminds me of another hapless soul at LAX who couldn't believe I had left Australia on Tuesday evening (EAST) and arrived Tuesday morning LA time. He couldn't understand why everyone didn't buy lotto tickets and become millionaires - being able to know the numbers in advance and all.
-
Maybe it's not the car they're checking Ed - maybe it's you? That bad-boy image will catch up with you sooner or later
-
Ah - so many silly questions from so many silly Americans. Do you have snow back home? Does it get dark at night in Australia? What's in a bourbon & coke? How long would it take to drive from Dallas to Sydney? My favourite was from a taxi driver in Palm Springs in Feb this year... What do you mean you drive on the other side of the road? Don't you hit all the oncomming traffic? I started crying

Yeah. So do I Will start looking for Nessy instead. I think I say your old car (red 32) last night Sam - no spoiler, but GTST with GTR kit. Looked like it had been to the JMS drift day
-
I think BMT is as good a place as any for it for now. At least we know where it is - and as Sam suggested, have our photos taken with it I was just concerned that it had vanished (along with the copy of GT3).
-
Cool! Thanks Sam. One of the great myseries solved. Now - on to the Loch Ness Monster...

Damm prior engagements Can someone take photos?

Jamezilla replied to Jamezilla's topic in For Sale (Other Items)
Prank: Will look into shipping. We send stuff (with work) to Sydney every day. May be able to work something out... -
I have the following artwork as EPS. I created it for various things for our stand at Melb Auto Salon. [email protected] Email me if you want any of it and what format you can accept - provided you don't say BMP or Corel, as that's just not even remotely funny

I used to love it when the pig-cops in Duke Nukem stoood next to the gas cylinders. Ah - memories

Start maccin' - with a PowerMac G3...
Jamezilla replied to Jamezilla's topic in For Sale (Other Items)
No... but I'll throw in a Mac Plus -
Yep - you know you want it. Genuine PowerMac G3 desktop in old-school beige. 266 blistering MHz (that's equivalent to a P3 450 for you PC people) with a whopping 384MB RAM - extremely hardcore for it's day. Comes with... 6GB internal HD, 2x 3.2GB external SCSI HD in cool beige cases. Yamaha 4x6x2 re-write SCSI burner. Internal ZIP 100 drive. Internal 24x CD-ROM drive. Floppy drive (ooooh) 2x Rage video cards to allow twin-screens (as shown). One of the cards has RCA/S-video capture/export capability. PCI 2xFirewire and 2xUSB ports. Apple extended keyboard. Apple 'we only need 1 button' ADB mouse. Monitors kinda blew up - so none of those sorry. Will throw in empty can of RedBull as illustrated. Currently has OS 9.2.2 and a whole heap of multimedia type software on it -Macromedia, Adobe, Microsoft - all the bad boys are here. Some games there too. Probably some porn as well... Great for entry into the elite 'temple of mac' club - cool to play with Photoshop and stuff. Served me well from 1998 to 2002. Been used my my sister since. She now has a new laptop and the assumes she is too good for the mighty G3. Offers start at $200 and some beer. Is in my boot - so can deliver in Melb metro. Come on - impress your designer friends with your very own Mac!
