  1. Haha - I think Sniffy is right. It's funny 'cause it's true. The guy who works in car audio at JB Prahran was telling me about how 'he rolls up to the Maccas on the WWR - sees all these Excels and Mirages' (he has a VL) and lets them hear some 'cooler noise' to show he means business. I said - you mean a blow off valve? - "No man - coola noise!" Doesn't Hot4s teach these kiddies anything?
  2. Skyline: Volk TE37 18x10 - bronze Pirelli PZero 275/35/18 Lada: BWA Steel 15x7 - painted silver BF Goodrich MudTerrain 215/75/15
  3. Russ: Re: OT - Niva & GTR After getting the Nissan violated - it was described to me as having my young Japanese girlfriend raped, and having to return to the Russian mail-order-bride for solace Here is my favourite 'family photo': Hopefully not too long before my baby comes back. Been 2 months now
  4. I got some for my GTR - $295 from Roof Carrier Systems in Camberwell. Brand new - custom made to fit using Thule components. Fit 2x bike carriers/board carriers very nicely Re: Snow season... slightly OT, but roofracks are easy - you ever tried finding chains for 18x10 wheels! Hens teeth are easier. Lucky I still have the Lada
  5. Dennis: Yeah - looked kinda funny (in a cool way) with the bike on top. As stated - when the car comes back, I'll take a photo
  6. Prank: I ended up getting roofracks for the GTR - they look kinda cool (only cost $295). They fit the 2 bike carriers really well. A true practical supercar Are custom made to fit using off-the-shelf Thule components. Was all done by Thule Aus distributer here in Melb (Roof Carrier Systems) Car is still getting repaired (coming up on 2 months now) but when is back - maybe next week - I'll take a photo for you.
  7. Haha - that sounds like a good t-shirt slogan
  8. I agree - we need some '34s in the mix And there will be enough Excels with playstations to keep the ricers happy - I like the idea of showing the 'street' Skylines where money has been spent on power, not airbrushing. Just my 2c.
  9. I'm cool for Sunday
  10. I can't on Thurs. Sorry.
  11. When the first film opened here, there was a big launch. I think Hot4s covered it. Lots of nice cars out for a cruise to the cinemas. Is there anything for this film we can get involved with? I know Paul Walker was here last week promoting - but I don't think the 'gala' opening has happened?
  12. Maybe worth a note - but club entries need to be in by 6th June (2.5 weeks) or they cost $200 a pop. We need 6 or more cars (each cost $100) and a bit of a think about stand design/theme. Renting a powerpoint is $60. Maybe some PS2s with GranTurismo and all the Skylines loaded? If we can get enough consoles & TVs - set up iLink races? Just a thought. I can arrange AV rental Also - despite the uh, badness, that happened to my car - I'm still keen to enter it (as long as we secure our area). Can't be too careful these days.
  13. Holy crap on a stick! That's some excellent work. Congratulations Dave
  14. Couldn't have said it better myself.
  15. Funniest test in a while. There ought to be more answers like 'colors don't matter when you can drift backwards, underwater, while fighting with a pirate' in life. I am also Ryosuke. Cold. Mysterious. Calculating. Not really right is it? I always liked Takeshi with the 'think you can take the R right off my car' line. And Shingo had my Civic
  16. Couldn't have said it better myself. I bet Brax has never hit a gaping pothole in 35 series tyres before. Ouchy. Would really like to see Government cars abolished after all this. They want the road users to pay - that's fine - as long as that includes themselves.
  17. I'm in. The 4-burner BBQ fits nicely in the back of the Niva if that helps. GTR back in a week or so (maybe 2). Will be extra nice. Will ask my brother (HSV) to bring a $90k Commodore along Como park in Sth Yarra is available for events like this. The Fiat/Lancia club has their annual show/shine there (as does Morgan/Healy club)
  18. I agree with Horus Wardest has a navy blue one. Looks real nice. Not as nice as purple though
  19. Thanks Nark Urge to kill is still rising - but may subside when I get my baby back, and move to a safer location. Keen to do drive-in again. Might even watch the movie this time
  20. Re: Plates. I still own the 'licence' to the GTR-88 plates, and they are for sale All I need to do is pay VicRoads $98 for new plates (in any colour) - which I will do when someone wants to buy them. Vickii: Police belive the plates wont be used as they are too noticable - probaby up on someone's wall as a trophy I still am burning over this whole thing. So much 'personal' stuff was in the car (and taken) it has really f*cked me up. Things like photos, documents - stuff these f*cks would have just tossed - is so important to me. Grrrr. Still upset. Car back in 2 weeks.
  21. Sniffy: I've been waiting for trams
  22. You realise that Bracks doesn't drive - he has a Statesman & driver, all other front benchers have 'Government' cars (all expenses paid) - so what the f*ck do they care if they put rego/TAC/toll/fuel prices up. It would be nice to live in a world where politicians had to abide and deal with the laws and taxes they made. And if the new 'funding' goes to pulic services like Police - can we expect better protection from theft/vandalism - or more anti-import behaviour and 'traffic safety' cameras. As our brand new freeways are such dangerous places to be. Perhaps we should all drive crappy old Camiras with no brake lights or rego and bald tyres as Government mandated safety devices. Mind you - I'm still bitter and angry about the c*nts who violated my car. I miss it. I want it back. I want them to pay. Sorry about the rant.
  23. I agree with Smoothline. Gran Turismo were great to deal with - and you get a 5 year warranty. Talk to Bill.
  24. Looks great Nark
  25. I am missing mine really badly right now. Only been a week - 4 to go till I get it back (hopefully).
