  1. The EG6 and R32 are little plastic keyrings - like in the photo. 4cm long. I had Takumi's AE86 Trueno but I gave it to my (then) girlfriend as she has a white Corolla. The GTR has red LED headlights and the Civic's front wheels are turned in - drift style. It has 'NightKids' written on the window. The Civic is on my house-keys which are in the boot of my car in the basement - hence no photo
  2. Oh yeah... The SS Edition Trueno in Gran Turismo 3 is the 'Shuichi Shigeno' version (shows on the detail 'my garage' screen) Shigeno san is the creator of InitialD - the car is a bit of props to him. That's why it's a pretty good little drifter.
  3. Hobby Japan (in CBD & Box Hill) have InitialD DVDs and 1:24 plastic model kits of the Akina cars (S13, 180sx, AE85, AE86) and some others like the SilEighty and EK-Type R Civic. darK: The InitialD store is on Russell St, near corner of Lonsdale. Has lots of Japanese stuff like CDs, DVDs and collectables - toys Cool store - but quite pricey. I have Shingo's 'Night Kids' EG6 Civic (like my old one) and the 'Night Kids' R32 GTR (Takeshi) as keyrings (thanks to EBay). Also the BitCharG set (see below). The manga comics are available from Alternate Worlds (Chapel St). The arcade game is lots of fun and due out on PS2 later this year (Sega release). The movie (3rd stage) is really good. Apparently Madman are going to release the whole series (x4 I think) here after Tokyopop do a EL conversion in the US.
  4. Management baby! Used to run a Multimedia company - now managing electronic publishing development and production for big educational publishing company. Technology related - but not strictly IT

    Its a girl!

Aw. Some nice news. Congratulations. Can't wait to see the baby seat in the GTR
  6. YlwGTR: Ah - very good point. The ones listed as options on the BMW and Merc are sold with the 'cleaning kit'. I guess that confirms mine as being 'non compliant' . Wont lose too much sleep over it though
  7. Hahaha - everyone wants my wheels The BMWs have Xenons as an option for $1800 (3 series) and Benzo for $2500 on C-Class... must be compliant. I guess it's one of those 'discression' things. Will let you know if it ever causes me problems with the hammers.
  8. Pushead: Actually - that comment brings up something I heard recently... cops pulling over new euros (BMW, Audi, Benzo) for their Xenons? Now... mine are factory (may not be ADR though) but surely a new Aus delivered BMW would have lamps that comply? Anyone else heard of this? Might as BaronBohr - he has E36 with Angels and Xenons...
  9. Sammi: I'm in for both Not this weekend (saturday) or next (both days) for me though. My brother is PR for HSV and took the GTS down to Avalon for vMax testing (January Wheels mag). He got to have a go in all the cars (except the R34 GTR) - even got to do a burnout in the SL55 Benzo. Bastard. Said the Viper was scary at 160km/h. Fastest he went was speed-limiter in Benzo - 260km/h
  10. I have Xenons on my R33. The whole lamp unit is different to non-Xenon models. Why would you want standard lamps - Xenons are cool
  11. Horus & Milk: Thank god for dark tints. I was putting my shoes back on Nice photos all - was good fun. Shall be more 'sociable' next time (and will remember my own bottle opener) We stayed for 'Solaris' - of what I watched it was a bit too intellectual for a Drive-In. Needed a monster movie.
  12. Is there a date set for the movie yet? Don't really care what we see - drive-ins are sometimes more fun when the movie is crap
  13. If you want a 33 GTR - I'd be in You can have the Lada too!
  14. Really nice Gordon I agree with R31 - the harbour shot is great.
  15. Yeah. Not a cheap wrist-slap. Not quite sure how my car made roadworthy without one Time to have a few words with the dealer...
  16. Ula: I'll say again - was very fun run. A real buzz. Escpecially as we were legal for 90% of the time. The flame-on 'feature' of the car is pretty cool! Nark saw flame at one point on the way down too. Pity I have this 'legality' conscious and will get a cat put on. Not before I get a photo though
  17. Poop - can't do 23rd. Maybe next time...
  18. R31: Cheers Nice hi-res version here: Panorama 1 Panorama 2
  19. Hahaha - good point
  20. Ah-ha! An interesting story to be told it seems There was a bit of traffic that held us up in spots (that darn turd-wagon) but we were able to give it a bit of a go. Was the first time I have taken the car for a 'real' drive so am not quite confident pushing it really hard - yet I am getting the suspension fixed (front LHS shock is busted) and new tyres soon - so would like to take it on a training course, then rety the GOR - see if I get more enjoyment from scaring Hyundai Excels
  21. inark: Perfect! Thanks lots Thems nice pix! poyz: He was keeping up with me - but that's not really saying much I have only had mine for a month - so wasn't going all out. Was lots of fun all the same.
  22. Poyz: Yeah Was fun. Seeing the 32 GTR in my mirrors was pretty cool - we scared a few other cars which caused much amusement. Being passed by 2 GTRs like you are going backwards must be great for the brown pants industry. inark: Don't mean to be a code-cop, but the reason your images aren't working is your slashes go the wrong way. Windows (DOS) likes '' but HTTP likes '/' so they don't work on my Mac. Can you fix? Would like to see the photos
  23. Poyz: Ula and I went for a blast back along the GOR - I stopped in Lorne for a drink and he kept going. Was a very good fun drive
  24. Nice vids inark Will try to remember my camera next time. My photos are here as really low-res poo-poo, but I have all the photos in nice swanky hi-res (they print nice sized on an A3) so let me know if you want any. Low res gallery 2.4MB 640x480 archive A3 prints:
  25. inark: Pity you didn't get the flame Where is video link?
