G35 Coupe - looks good in the metal
Jamezilla replied to Jamezilla's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Photo 2 of 6 -
Currently in Palm Springs and was returning my rental Mustang - this was in the hotel carpark. Looks really nice. Tried to take interior shot - but too much reflection. Photo 1 of 6:

Gohan: I in Sth Yarra... but face it, in that car, it will never be too far to drive to meet others In Boston at the moment - is snowing! There's a 350Z downstairs... very nice but the steering wheel is on the wrong side JIZMO: It makes me laugh thinking about it... but I just don't think I want to be 'that guy' with the silly plate. Real Vspec: Yeah - I checked it didn't have the $45 VSpec 'sticker upgrade' and actually has the 'finned diff'. Can't wait til I get back -

Merli: Thanks very much for the tips I did the engine number check and 'is it stolen' enquiry and all is A-OK... but will check the other plates also. Am waiting for plane now... back in 2 weeks. -

Merli: Yeah I knida had suspisions about that. I'd say it's a full-house 'run-out' series 2 - as the build date is listed as 1997. I was happy with the price (especially with all the extras). So... it may be a pretend series 3, but I'll love it all the same Thanks for the heads up. -
Inark: I get back on the 17th of Feb... so will come down in the big-beast
-
Cefiro: I'll come down anyway and say hello And the Lada... yeah, I'd say 30kw at all 4. What a machine!

I'll ask some of our suppliers about prices and formats required (I work for a publishing company) - will keep informed. -
Cefiro: Thanks for that. I will have only had the car for a week at that stage, so not super keen to remove drive-shafts. Also - wanted to see how much power my Lada puts to the 4 wheels I'll just come and watch.

Can you take 4WD cars? If so - put me down for 22nd

Yeah - I thought about that. Maybe JZILLA - but it looks like I have the word 'jizz' somewhere in there... and that's not quite the path I wish to tread Anyway, I could always get JIZMO I was thinking IKUZO which means 'let's go, NOW' in Japanese, or GOLGO like the manga assassin. I wanted GOJIRA but it's gone. Same with AKIRA. TOKYO3 is a maybe, as is AKUMA (the devil) ASHURA (fighting demon) and GFORCE... but I'm just not sure. Thanks for thoughts though -

Ex: Price was pretty standard for series 3 from a dealer - I sent you a PM with more detailed reply. Bottom line - I was happy with price -

Predator: Hahaha - the Lada only drives one way... slowly. There will be much care taken with the new baby. The Lada will be kept for super-sunny days and crawling over rocks and through mud-pits Need to find a good trimmer though - some junkie f@#k slashed my roof to relieve me of my ashtray (go figure) so it's permanently topless at the moment. The Nissan will take pride of place in the garage... so the mighty Niva will need to be protected from the elements once more. Can't wait to be out cruising in the GTR though... so stupid that I only get it for an afternoon before going away Any thoughts on plates? It has 'GTR-88' at the moment (last owner was Chinese and 8 is lucky) but I want something different... -

Very much looking forward to be out cruising with the Melbourne people. Back in Aus in mid/late Feb - anyone want anything from US? And as I said - the guys at Gran Turismo in Melb are keeping the car in the showroom for me - go have a look, it is much better in the metal. Shell: Lada - hahaha. My friends WISH it was a joke. Will take a nice 'family' photo when I get back. For now though.... -

uLa32: Track day: Yeah. Bill said they had the grey '34 out and about last weekend with John Bowe. He told me they are organising one for customers but needed to sort the PI insurance... will ask tomorrow. BTW: The car is being kept there (at GTA) until I get back... so go have a squiz -

Arrows: I'd be mad not to Going from a FWD hot-hatch and a piece of agricultural machinery to a racing-car is a massive step. I want to learn how to drive the beast properly. I've done lots of courses in the past - used to race the Civic at Phillip Island with the Honda club - lots of fun Will do the Murcott package - including the beginner training (I want to start slowly ) uLa32: Actually - I'm not sure as to the full extent of the mods and the power output... basically though - Apexi exhaust and computers (AVCR & RSM), HKS pods, ARC heat shield (could be intercooler also), looks like TEIN suspension, those lovely 18x9.5" TE37s... but stay tuned. I'll get it all sorted when I come back from the US. I'll run a comp - see who can guess the Lada's output at all 4 wheels -

Mega: Oh yeah - this will be very much the pride-and-joy. I'm donating my BBQ to a friend to make sure there is ample room in the garage. The Lada will have to sleep outside Also - bit of driver training is in order as it is sooo different to anything I have driven. I'll take good care -

Re: Gran Turismo I have nothing but nice things to say. They found the perfect car. The price was right (espescially since there are over $20k worth of mods on the car). Bill is great to deal with - he's a funny guy I'd recommend them -

Haha. I've still got the Lada. It's too rad to sell The Nissan is to replace the mighty Civic. The poor thing served me well. Lots of 8500rpm clutch dumps in that baby. I wouldn't sell it to your sister The photo doesn't do the car justice. It is truly awesome. Sitting next to a 360 Modena Spyder in the showroom - and doesn't look out of place at all. I bought it on the spot. Gohan: Must hook up when I get back? -

AVC-R and RSM: Yes. Has Defi guages also. Will fit a PFC. Gran Turismo: Yes. I ordered a 'purple series 3' in October. They have been looking in Japan - and then this came up last week... it was a local car! The previous owner is heading back overseas - and it's immaculate. I would like to thank him/her actually - all the mods are brand-name and expertly installed. What a score Pretty pleased I'm back from the US in mid Feb - will be keen to meet lots of the Melbourne people. -

Ryan: Cheers I have to say I'm a bit pleased. It's been a long time coming. So typical to get it then store it for 2 weeks straight away though. Looking forward to a bit of cruising. Got to think of a plate now... -
Yay! I pick it up on Wednesday - only to go to the US for 2 weeks on Thursday : But - finally - I have scored my dream machine. Is a 1997 (Series 3) VSpec - a REAL one. Yes it's purple. Yes they are 18x Volk TE37s. I'm pretty chuffed. A reasonable step up from the Lada More photos when I get back

Gotta be 300dpi to print at reasonable size. CMYK EPS or TIFF. It would be cool - but not cheap. Would you want it on paper or cloth? -

Ah - well don't I feel stupid. Read the last line of the article - under the specs... Pity -

Jamezilla replied to whatsisname's topic in General Automotive Discussion
S2000's are heaps of fun - and you've gotta love that VTEC snarl. If I was in the market for a $120k ragtop - I'd go there instead of a Euro. I have a soft spot for Hondas - and besides, Porsches are too tossy.
