Yep - I've seen a, ah... 'documentary' where this is in fact the case. In that particular instance, everyone seemed to be very happy with their purchases. No one had any money left to pay the pizza guy though...
  2. PSSST - Dane, she doesn't actually know. Only Bec and I do
  3. All the best Soctty
  4. Congratulations everyone. As noted yesterday - over 50 of the cars received a vote, showing great diversity - we had 74 people sdubmit entry forms. Whilst some were clear winners (Alan's Evo was ah, way ahead of the competition) - there were some close results in the WRX, R33 GTSt and R32 GTSt classes. It was a great event - trophies will be presented to all winners at the club meeting in December. Well done to everyone - and congratulations to our winners James *PS - thanks to Sarah for the photos

    Drifting`

Hi guys We ran a drift training day earlier this year, and are trying to do something similar next year. So stay tuned. There are a number of groups who offer open drift 'practice' days too. For general info - check out: http://www.driftaustralia.com.au/ http://www.driftzone.com/ http://www.vicdrift.com/
  14. Thanks everyone for coming along yesterday - was a great event. The fun run in the morning had me a bit concerned... but all good. I REALLY appreciated the fantastic behaviour by everyone in attendence - certainly means we'll be able to use this (and other City of Melb) locations again. Great work And again - a massive thanks to team BBQ! Results will be up in the next day or so (we need to collate them) and will be posted here. Trophies will be presented at the December club meeting. Thanks again - bring on the photos! James
  15. Sorry big fella - better pop them back in the fridge. And to confirm... this is to be a DRY event. No booze at all please.
  16. Will probably see you there Trev - a good day to test out some new toys
  17. Official finish is 5.30pm If you need to leave - just make sure someone is guiding you out (to make sure pedestrians are clear and to remove the bollard). Same with running late - call me (number will be on the bollard) and someone will come to let you in and guide you through. You need to be 'marshalled' due to safety regulations - again, have to abide by the rules
  18. No need to be a member, everyone who is eligible is encouraged to give blood. You just don't get dibs on the pool ponies.
  19. People entering We ask that you arrive between 10 and 11am to make things a bit easier for us. There will be marshals at each key point to direct you where you need to go. Maps attached below, but basically... 1. Coming from Richmond Drive city-bound on na na na na na na na an - Batman Ave, under the TOLL until you see the marshal at the access road on the left (just past the intersection). 2. Coming from CBD Drive Richmond-bound on Exhibition St bridge to the traffic light intersection where the tram turns. Turn left at these lights and do a u-turn to turn right and head back to the city. There will be a marshal here at the lights. When the lights are green, travel across the intersection and enter the access road to the park. MAXIMUM SPEED IN THE PARK is 10km/h PLEASE USE YOUR HAZARD LIGHTS WHEN MOVING INTO THE PARK There will be a marshal just before the display area to make sure no bikes come flying down the ramp into your car. You'll then be directed to where to park your car on the gravel section. This will all make sense when you get there If you are running late and the marshals have left the access road (not before 11.30am) - then please call me - 0417 037 520 - so we can remove the barrier and let you in. The barrier will have an SAU sign on it so you'll know where to go. There will be a BBQ from about 12pm onwards - and all merchandise will be on sale. It promises to be a great day - so bring your friends and a camera! See you there James
  20. And boys, there are other reasons to give blood... Oh, and Juz - pour vous...
  21. BBQ is fine, but only those of us brave enough to donate the claret get to bust out a pool pony
  22. Hi all There are a number of DECA shirts and SAU Jackets that have been reserved, but not paid for or collected. If you don't want them, just let us know and we'll offer them for sale. All current stocks of SAU Vic merch will be available at the Show on Sunday - so if you have a hankerin for some gear, come and say hello on Sunday (FYI - cash only).
