  1. Great news Brandon! Looks like that group buy on GT-R baby seats isn't looking too far off...
  2. Just to remind everyone that this is on on Sunday. If you need to drive to Portsea or Queenscliff - don't. If you do - look out for Iceman, Goose, Roy Rogers and Dutch as we cycle our way toward amber glory at the finish line. If you live near the route - wave to the heros that ride past. Clap, cheer - offer them a tequila shot or some black market pig hormones. It's an effort that wont go unnoticed. Come to Docklands after 3.00pm to join us in an ale or 16 There will be photos at the meeting on Tuesday.
  3. Oh yeah, totally biased towards Skylines. I recall a recent committee meeting where we had a Mazda6, a Laser, a Ford ute, a WRX, a Daewoo, a Gemini and a Lada
  4. Test costs $27 Sucks - but them's the breaks I got a letter from when my car was stationary - they saw the large exhuast and assumed it was loud... Which it was - put that's not the point
  5. Sure did - back in August: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...dpost&p=1531277 Your resident futurist at work boys and girls PS: Sucks about your fuel
  6. Geeze kids. For those of us who spent the whole day doing this: You need to remember to take one of these:
  7. Rhett: You should have seen all the Brighton residents getting narky they couldn't get out of their driveways. Not a good morning to be west of Beach Rd But, now it's over, will share this little chestnut - don't do it. Haaard work. I now need new hips and knees - but completed it in 1hr 52min. Was on track for a 1hr 40-something, but my right hip and knee decided that wasn't going to happen and gave out at the top of Fitzroy St. Good experience - will probably give it a crack again next year to see if I can make it without injury - and aim for a sub 1.45. Can barely walk today though...
  8. It just wouldn't be me if I didn't I have to take some clients to the cricket in the afternoon, so will be a two-pot screamer there. Mmmm - corporate hospitality.
  9. Half is 21.1km - and yeah training a bit. This is 50% longer than any other run I've done though... so will be hard work. I can handle about 5mins per km - and did the City to Surf in Sydney in 70mins (14km) I'm aiming for 1hr 45 - but anything under 2hrs and I'll be happy
  10. Just want to wish anyone else who has been foolish enough to enter the Melbourne Marathon on Sunday the best of luck I'm doing the half - which is more than far enough for me. For those who aren't aware - avoid Nepean Hwy south of Mordialloc, Beach Road, Fitzroy St and St Kilda Rd on Sunday morning. Half runs from Rickett's Point in Black Rock to the Arts Centre. If it's a nice morning - feel free to come and cheer
  11. Yeah - we all went and got the 'generic Skyline owner' dressup kit before the event too Saw your bus in HPI - nice
  12. My pictures all uploaded to here now: http://www.jamezilla.com/sau/sns/index.html Waiting for the meat... I really do like these rims Matt - very nice. Second comes right after first you know! And yes - spewing I missed the Lada pulling a crazy Ivan
  13. Thanks everyone for coming along. It was a great day with a fantastic turnout You can be sure we will be having more events of this type in the future. Big thanks to everyone who helped out to make the day work really well. I'm sorry I missed the trophies - but congratulations to all the winners! Especially Nathan (damn you!) who rightly deserved to pip me for first place I'm uploading photos (slowly) at the moment - so check for the SnS link on my gallery page shortly: http://www.jamezilla.com/sau/index.html * To those who took pictures (Dark, yours are fantastic) - can you bring a CD-ROM along to the next meeting? I am wanting to put together some form of screen-saver. Thanks James
  14. Also... It will be easier for everyone (yourselves and other traffic) if you can come along the 'out bound' lane of Swan St (ie: with the park on your left). This way you wont have to delay trams and traffic by turning right to enter the driveway. Not critical - just a handy tip.
  15. Also - just a reminder to bring your membership cards if you are entering. Your membership number is your entry number. See you all tomorrow
  16. Dan: $390 sounds like globe prices. The xenons need the ballast pack - which is where most of the money is. Replacement Xenon bulbs for Golgo were about $300. That's cheap. Honda quote about $700 per bulb only for the Accord Euro.
  17. Should be all over by 5pm - but we'll try and do vote tallys and trophy presentation about 3.30pm. Also - from BOM website: Tonight and Sunday A brief morning shower or two possible, otherwise fine. Lengthy sunny periods developing with moderate to locally fresh northwest wind. Top of 21
  18. ADR says xenons need to be self-leveling and have washers... for OEM. The Philips product is legal to fit and use as an aftermarket kit. That said - Golgo has the factory projector xenons installed (no washers or levelers) - and no-one has ever once mentioned anything about it. Was fine for RWC and Police RW inspections. The details for the member offer is in the latest Vic-spec newsletter. The offer is currently for R33 series cars only. Email me if you are interested in more detail on the Philips kits - and I'll put you in contact with David Clerk - their sales manager for automotive lighting. [email protected]
  19. Looks like the weather will be on our side for Sunday too. Am looking forward to seeing you all there! PS: If anyone has a vortex, can you bring it? Mine suffered a little too much action from Snowy's pitching arm and lost a wing Oh - and BTW all you R33 owners... we might have to work out a runner-up trophy for you all, as I'm going to win
  20. Thanks guys. You know... contributing to the newsletter is not a crime. [email protected]
  21. Good work guys - see you there!
  22. Final location details and event info here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=89189
  23. Berin: Noooo - not the decapitator Shan: Bah - like some mish-mash hatchback can take on teh LADA!
  24. BTW: in case anyone isn't driving... Catch #70 Tram from Flinders St to go right past (tram stop on cnr of Madden Gve), or Belgrave/Lillydale/Alamein/Glen Waverly Train to Burnley and tram (70) or walk to the park.
