Ah - top training effort team! All those international cyclists injecting horse tranqs into (one of) their c*cks have nothing on our good Aussie carb-loading styles. We put out a combined 160km - and put in about 160L of carbs. We rock! Bass: It was my audition for the next Jessica Simpson video clip. I'll show you the photos where I wash the General Lee tomorrow Was top day. You all missed out. I spoke to a man who has 2 penis's (penii?) - quite possibly the most interesting total stranger ever. This is what cycling is all about!

Hehe - keep that number Snowy! Will get a photo of Rachel printed for Tuesday - we can all sign it for her

I highly endorse this month's speaker. Their technology is pretty cool - something we'll be seeing a lot of in the future. Plus - he got to drive the Evo at PI for the press launch. So you can ask questions about that
-
Hehe - thought you'd like that
-
Shiv: Hehe - no, we're not talking about you. Long story about Ash, his future in-laws and their jailhouse shenanagins. Bec: I have a small clip of Snowplow. Will show you on Tues. Plus a rather poorly-lit clip of you guys drinking, and me claiming to be the bar manager so offering drinks to Brisby. Have a whole bunch of stuff from last December's fun day too.

It wasn't just Ash. It was his shoulders.

To cut a long story short... We were heading to Winton for round 3 (I think) - I had just got my handheld GPS, and thought it would be fun to bring it along. It is an American product (I bought it online). The unit has a whole bunch of cities pre-programmed to aid navigation, so I searched for Benalla... nothing. Except there was an entry called 'Benalia' where it should have been. So... obviously a typo from the Garmin people entering the city names, yet we had a chuckle. After a heroic amount of beer, it made sence to change the name of the 'welcome to...' sign we could see from the pub. And so - it began... Photos from that weekend are here: http://www.jamezilla.com/sau/benalia_1/

We already have a date/place in mind. Will try to get confirmation in the next few days - stay tuned...
-
Not crazy res - just so that if printed out approx A4 size, it would look OK
-
Cazz: Good to see - can't have Ash's less-than-showroom example take the R31 prize by default sxygtst: Sure you can come! The entry of cars is limited to members, but anyone can come and have a look.

Times - as per Snowplow's post: http://www.racetime.com.au/?event=w0509 Oh yeah... I forgot we had broken the railway crossing. Oops. And yes - to confirm that although there is likely to be some genetic lineage, that isn't Brisby in the speedos
-
Nice times there people - well done Pete!
-
Hehe - Lap Junky Pete cracked me up with his 'safety first' approach in the rain - thinking if the back of the car got round the corner first, it would all work out OK Loving this shot of Frank's vapour trail:
-
I'm all out of hats now - need to go earn some more. I have to stop giving them away to barmaids... PS: Blaise - we now have Hard Corey's address and phone number
-
Good work Alan Hehe - poor Westy caused all sorts of ruckus on the radio with his 'parade lap'. Abused: I'd recommend just coming up for a weekend to see how things run. All you need is a few basic items on the car - and a CAMS licence.
-
All done: http://www.jamezilla.com/sau/benalia_3 As always - I have them all in hi-res should anyone want. This one is my fav - not the best photo, but look at Pete's hand *Note - these were all taken with my new Canon S2is. Has a 12x optical zoom which makes a massive difference in the quality of the racing shots.
-
... still uploading. You'd think that the people who's wireless I'm stealing would at least have the good grace to run hi-band. I tells ya, I'l f*cking shiv 'em I will! In the mean time - read this. I'm sure we can all relate http://www.thedenverchannel.com/news/4956852/detail.html

Another fantastic Team Wang weekend away - I highly recomend these to anyone Rain hampered play at the track today, but some good times were recorded by all. The drive up yesterday (via the Buxton Igloo burger stop) and last night's pre-race 'quiet drinks' were not without incident. Ash and his fabulous shoulders made friends with the locals Top work from Blaise in becoming a Benalla icon - and man of the match must go to Chris 'take one for the team' Scotsman. Photos are uploading right now... James

Guys - the key thing to remember here is that driving a car which is outside the power to weight ratio is done so at your own risk. The laws are there for a reason - I have very strong views about younger drivers putting themselves behind the wheel of such powerful cars, but we needn't go into that here. If you are on P's and are driving a turbo R33 or R34 - or any GTR... it is illegal. Sure, you can register it, insure it - you may be stopped by the police and not told about it... but the law is still the law. If you are involved in an incidednt, it is well within the right of the insurance agency to deny your claim based on these reasons. It doens't matter if the car is registered to your grandma - if YOU are driving a car that is outside the kw/kg range - you do so at your own risk. Insurance companies may have catchy jingles (and dumb ads with Pete's car in it) to make you feel warm and fuzzy... but at the end of the day, if they don't have to pay, they wont. To summaise: No turbo R33, R34 or any GT-R is legal on P's - no exceptions This has been covered countless times. What ever happened to driving a Corolla until you turned 21?
