  1. LaL: Nope - it was a Merc. Was after AutoSalon last year in Sth Melb. Many of us saw the aftermath. E-Class if I recall...
  2. Yes - i walking over in 15 mins...
  3. Re: BFG working on it - sorry to take so long
  4. Re: Common LM's and TE's: Perhaps it's just more people with good taste Glad to hear Clarkey. Car will look fantastic with those wheels! Which offset did you get 22 or 12? I still don't know what it all means
  5. That Porsche pic is 'real' exhuast fire and not a kit. Like this
  6. 12.30pm (lunchtime) @ Smoothe. Will wear my dark-blue SAU MAS shirt.
  7. Messiah: I have footage of that guy on a DVD somewhere. What a nutbag. He and Yeager were good buddies too - pushing that envelope by the seat of their fly-boy pants. Merl:Looking through the Russian crash tests from the link on the other page basically state that a Lada 2107 (like the race cars) is one of the most unsafe places to be in a 64km/h offset collision - let alone a higer speed frontal. Mr steering wheel is about to become uncomfortable. They have a compilation vid on there which includes another obscure Russian hatchback - when in the offset collision, the bonnet doesn't crush, but is pushed back through the windscreen to decapitate the driver. http://www.autoreview.ru/new_site/video/20...y_of_crushes.rm In Soviet Russia, car crashes you!
  8. Happy birthday to Ant95 who's in the UK at the mo, Blind-elk from NDSOC and Adam from Full-lock! Just so you all sleep soundly... 9-months ago puts us in mid-August. Cold wintery night... cask of Roselle... one-thing-leads-to-another... Happy birthday guys!
  9. GET F*CKED! That's Jack's car on the old BMT Dyno - and it makes flames the proper way, no stupid kit required. Hell - I think it was Funky who made that GIF anim? Terse email sent.
  10. To conincide with the DECA FUN DAY (event information) occurring on Sunday 6th June 2004... a leisurely drive up to Shepparton to cheer on the SAU competitors has been arranged. Due to the distance (approx. 2hrs out of Melbourne) and time the DECA event starts, we have decided to drive up on the Saturday afternoon (05/06/04), check into a Motel, hit the Shepparton night life - with view to spend the night, allowing for the latest possible wake-up on the Sunday morning . Details are as follows: Date: Saturday, 5th June 2004 Time: 12 noon Meeting Place: Ford Motoring Company, 1731 Hume Hwy, Campbellfield, Map 7 E3. (There is a huge car park, just turn into the service road as you see the Ford Plant) Accommodation (3+ star Best Western or similar): Approx $30p/p - twin/triple share rooms. IMPORTANT: To finalize bookings we require you to: 1: Notify of your intention to join the cruise and number of persons to book accomodation for. 11. Any results from the dyno? The yellow-submarine ran 104awkw in Melb - apparently it is good for 500... but hadn't been tuned. Right.
  12. Pentae: I have some exterior shots from various meetings & cruises - and can email them to you if Leewah is OK with that - but it looks like a stock, clean, purple R33 GTR with white Volk Challenge wheels. No body modifications - see the HPI mag with the feature for good all-round shots. These are from Fullboost at April Melb AutoSalon: Fullboost have a video of it: http://www.fullboost.com.au/vidzz/fullBOOS...mas2004_gtr.avi The business end of this car is under the bonnet - which I have no recent pix of.
  13. I've never been to Spy Lounge. No cameras are allowed to be pointed at me or Snowy.
  14. Oh cool - I didn't realise you could help with hardware Greg. Excellent Remind me to come see you when Half Life 2 is released - I'll need a new PC.
  15. Won't be running the car - but will pop in to say hi
  16. Lunch on Fri would be good - I can't do after work this week. I'm tall, voluptuous and have rather short hair. Gohan, Cr34tion, Hotsky, Geoff and Horus all know me anyway
  17. Good to hear Dave! This will help spend my tax return.
  18. Oh yeah... hey, things are looking up!
  19. Darn right! Go team!
  20. Don't worry Dox - I have an endless supply Actually - looking at the details here: Niva: http://www.autoreview.ru/new_site/year2002.../n19/niva/1.htm 2107: http://www.autoreview.ru/new_site/year2001...2/2107/2107.htm Every Lada owner will die in an accident The little pictures of hurt body parts - red is bad. Uh oh. At least my neck will be OK...
  21. Stopping a Lada is like stopping a supertanker. You need someone who has done it before to be at the helm... and you need to prepared well in advance. Nivas are known to nose-dive or jump sideways under heavy braking. It's not just a car... it's an adventure!
  22. Stupid Lada drivers... Mind you that is pretty awful. If not for the cage, the car would have been even more squished. Lucky mine is made of steel and not paper - like this one: And yes Ash - Ladas do 130km/h. 136km/h to be exact. So there.

  24. Great news Troy!
