  1. Other thread is busier. Spoke to the law - they happy to help us have a good time and turn a semi-blind eye to the cars. They're not interested in ruining our meet - and are even happy to walk around and discuss legalities with people. Anyone doing stupid sh*t will be shot though.
  2. Just read the Chartreuse comments... I officially hate you all Might have to score some Absinth - payback time!
  3. Welcome to Vic If you can - come along to: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=36386 Good chance to meet some of us - and other Melb car people. Ambz: When's that TV show cruise thing going to air?
  4. Good luck Blade Remember to watch your power-to-weight ratios. Buy a Lada
  5. AKT: Nooo - what happened? Will this at least help peel the stickers off the side?
  6. Please: http://dictionary.reference.com/ Here's the factory jobbie: Massive pic here: http://members.shaw.ca/lowenhart/Z2.JPG
  7. Yep - confirming deals with Fullock tomorrow...
  8. Sorry Funky - was interstate drinking I even forgot to take my phone - and left my shoes behind. Big weekend... Anyhoo: Thanks to everyone for their input. Looks like #2 is the go. Will finalise art and get the order ready. Orders MUST be final by Wed PM - order going in Thurs AM
  9. Prank & Merli: Great to meet you guys Hope we can do more interstate hook-ups - time to plan that national meet. I've seen almost enough boobs this weekend, so unfortunately back to the 'ol salt mines now. Took me ages to get back to Artarmon - your trains suck ass Hope to be back soon - gotta go meet my new friend again. Oh la la
  10. Ferni: Yeah is proper cover. Tucks under the front and rear bumpers - even has straps to tie it down. Will put on the car on the weekend and take photo J
  11. Slight technical hitch with the 'ol mobile phone - it didn't quite make it on the plane So... I'll still be at the Manly Wharf Hotel at about 1.30pm on Sunday, will sit outside near the front door of the main bar. Shall try to look like an out of place Victoria And yeah.. like Nismoid says - bring some club setup info that we can steal. Hooray for industrial espionage
  12. Yep - halftone is perfect
  13. Cool Here's a quality bad photo of me and the best sunglasses that $5 can buy... Will still look for a pink carnation though edit - will sit out the front of the main bar (outside) overlooking the harbour beach and stuff. I'll try to remember to wear my Skyline shirt, but will be hungover and happy if I remember to wear pants
  14. Skyline font Was traced from a photo of the back of my car - so is R33 Doesn't really matter which one though - if you have the R32 one as a font (mine is just the text outlines) then probably better to use that. Australia text Yeah - I kinda hacked that too... was the text in the URL - I used Handel Gothic Wide font. Will email you the designs from last year if that helps? 3-colour It's a 50% stipple of white - so technically just the 1 colour... the shirt guy said we could do a stipple if in a larger area, but probably easier if we don't So - fair call, best to keep to solids. Polos They are a more expensive shirt - and are stitched as opposed to printed. He still to get back with an actual quote - as the design setup costs are about $100 per logo (per colour) - and wasn't sure how much of the shirt was considered a single design. Will call him tomorrow am and push for an answer. J
  15. Thanks Merl - We forge our sprits in the tradition of our ancestors. Come to Manly pub on Sunday - I'll fill you in on all the nitty-gritty
  16. Could you please email pix of the steering wheel and an indicative price to: [email protected] Thanks
  17. Bugger - same day as dyno fundraiser Looks good though.
  18. Haha - Clarkey I forgot you studied at Ralph Lauren... EFT details in first post Still more designs to come. Just for you Greg - will throw in the GT logo
  19. Entry list so far looks like: Green is paid, red is unsure at this stage. Leewah: Will send you email re: T-shirt stuff.
  20. Screw batteries - I want a 400km/h mag-lev GTR... that transforms into a robot. Time for Japan to live up to popular culture references Perhaps those crazy engineers have read this... ... says that the it has "Ceramic double-rotor all-wheel disk drive" Which I interpret to mean that in fact, the drive is electric, with four high-efficientcy "pancake" flat disk motors powering the it (one for each wheel). Indeed, since they are ceramic, they may be super-conducting as well... ... also says that the it produces "200 horsepower at 12,000 RPM" and has a type of V8 growl to the exhaust note. So, It's my belief that it has an internal combustion engine which powers a dynamo, which then sends electrical power to the wheels (much as the new "hybrid" gas/electric cars do). Since there is mention of 'shifting gears above 5,000 rpm' I would also assume that there is some sort of gear box between the engine and the dynamo, probably to give the rider more sense of control, as he would be using a system he was already familiar with. If the powertrain were superconducting, the time lag could be much shorter than with modern electrics, and would indeed feel much like a manual gearbox rather than an automatic. Oh yeah, this be what they referring to... Kaneda's bike
  21. Heh - I like the idea of the old-folks battle:
  22. Haha - won't fit in my hand luggage though Plus I don't intend to be sober for more than a few minutes at a time.
  23. Entry list so far looks like:
  24. Nope - shirts are available to everyone I'm 6'2" - L is good for me.
  25. Greg: These are just concepts - will fine tune them before print. Shan has some other deisgns coming too. Is your logo placement on the sleeve OK? Do we have confirmation on other supporters - and thus their logos? BTW: I like number 2
