  1. That would most likely still be the current statute. Generally they keep the name (which contains the year) they were first enacted. Of course they would of been amendments, changes etc since. I'll have a look through my Law textbooks when I'm home from work and see if I can pull up some more Acts for WA. I remember I had some links when I fought a dodgy traffic infrigment.
  2. Whoa, thanks for all the input! The S13 has been factored in now, and possibly the SSS, but im wary of a 80s skyline - most likely been thrashed sometime, and would end up being expensive to maintain. I also saw a Eunos 30X recently, and it seemed alright, although a bit small for someone as tall as me (193 cm). If i could get the leather interior optioned model, i'd consider it. Hmmm, its going to take more thought -Rhys
  3. Hi everyone, I've been a SAU forum junkie for a while know, and would like your opinions on an alright first car, cause I know you guys are *generally* free of the usual car bs. I've read the other recent topic on this, and totally agree that a R33 GTR might be a dreamed of car, but certainly isnt the way to go while still on P's and an inexperienced driver. I'm after a NA car, with body shape and interior most important. I'd prefer something a little bit unique, so no pulsars, falcons or barinas.... i might consider a lancer. Must be a manual, as I've been driving the parents' 323 auto since getting my license. Cars that I've researched and considered myself, all below my absolute limit of 13k are: - Honda CRX eg: Example - Hyundai Coupe eg: Example - Mitsubishi Eclipse I know they're very rare here in aus, but still considered - Some type of Silvia S13 Any thoughts or suggestions welcome - Rhys
  4. faithless are one of my favourites out of the uk at the moment, 'bluegrass' and 'womd' are getting plenty of air time from my stereo. pity there comming during exams! NOOOOOOOOOOO! oh well another time, .....enjoy guys
  5. to all SAU, last night a friend died in a car crash near city beach, it seems no one was really at fault, no speeding, no drugs, just an unseen car and then bamm. he was my gf's half brother. the driver and him were only 17 and 16. i was out driving last night nearby, and got pulled over at the booze bus on empire. we could all see the ambulance lights speed by. its hit all of us pretty hard, plz everyone take care on the roads, u dont have to be doing anything stupid or illegal to take someones life away. the driver who survived would be going through so much right now, even though blame cant really be laid. our thoughts are with all involved. keep alert out there, and maybe one less life would have to be lost damn i sound like a road safety ad, but thats what my message is -e9
  6. good luck kyles, i did my test up at joondalup in jan, and its pretty calm streets up there. just be careful about all the different coloured (paved, bitumen roads around the center) cos that got one of my mates, he was cruising down the parking area thinking it was a lane . watch out if they take you over into the industrial area with AussiePost, its only 50 down there and they nearly got me for that. keep cool and it all should be fine, dont get stressed if u make a few bad shifts to begin with, they wont fail you for something that small - and heck u can make a few mistakes and still pass first time . -rhys
