All Imports Sydney

yes it probably had 17,000k around 2009. The only way to get real K's at the moment is to buy through a broker - They only make their "finders fee" and have no more money to be gained in the sale. Yes I am a dealer but I only buy to order now - I can't compete with clocked cars. There are a lot of brokers around but you need one who manages the process - Like Iron Chef. I do some compliancing for his customers and he break my balls to get it done ontime & to budget - While others dump their clients on you and do not tell the client the rules and pitfalls - such as certain states having strange rules. -
For those who know me here I pull no punches about the real values of cars. For those who do not know me I am a complier and was a dealer who had enough of trying to compete with rubbish. A close friend from Japan called me today telling me she was just asked by her boss to upload a new webpage for registration certificates in Japan. Aparently the company they are doing the website for is an off shoot of the registration authority in Japan so it will be very interesting for some of those wrecks being sold as "low KM" cars on Parramatta Rd. Not sure when the site will be live but it will certainly make some dealers rethink what they do, those low K R34 GTR's all seem to have the same k's of 29,000km for around $50k - funny but I am looking for a R34 GTR V 2 for myself and for a car with less than 40k's on her I can't get one for under 4million yen (over $55k landed + comp etc). There are only a certain quantity of cars built and the Japanese drive / love them as much as we do.

Beware - R34 Gtr For Sale In Sydney
SecretR33GTR replied to R31Nismoid's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I know of a person (an SAU member) who complained to Fair Trading about other cars they had, the person presented auction sheets, printouts from the AllImports system and what happened ? Zero. Fair tradings attitude is this - if it happened in Japan it is buyer beware but if it happens here they will prosecute. It is almost impossible to prove where it is done as k's are not recorded on any offical documents at the wharfs and unless you have an original dereg from Japan you are not going to find it easy. There are ways of getting the last registration papers from Japan but unless you are 95% you want the car the cost of those papers can add up very quickly. A quick note - a GTR we just did for a forum member came in 2 weeks ago and it had a different looking dereg form, looks like they have updated the appearance. The car was less than 2 years old - personal import job. As Import Monster and all decent importers will tell you - the cars are running out in Japan. There were only so many built of the models we can import and finding a great car at a good price is becoming very difficult. Remember the Japanese love their GTR's as much as we do. If you ever take a trip to Japan you will be extremely lucky to see a R32, R33 or even R34 GTR running around in the cities. -
Beware - R34 Gtr For Sale In Sydney

Funny how the exporter has a Facebook page and this car is on it. Join his page he's a decent guy and this should not reflect upon him at all, he sells the cars with genuine k's as you can see by his webpage. The blame is all to do with the Aussie importer who is the shonk. Again this type of crap devalues the actual price of the good cars in the market. We work on plenty of great cars and see how much their owners love their cars but we also see guys coming in saying "my car has 48k's on her and one owner", we do not have the heart to tell them the cars are crap. I personally hate the industry now as it is. -
Importing Via Trade Car View
SecretR33GTR replied to On p's's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
I have had serveral customers very upset with their cars that they had sourced from Trade Car view. The concept of Trade Car View is very good but it has been exploited by some bad people over time, you have panel beaters listing cars there. Imagine Australia selling non registerable repaired rightoffs to some unsuspecting buyer offshore - fine the car has been fixed and it may be very hard to spot the repair but like Australia the locals do not want it - it is called EXPORT QUALITY. On the otherhand I am sure there is good cars on Trade Car View. -
If u can break the Hollinger I'd be very surprised. More likely Adam will destroy our Evo 5 RS in clubsprint before you do any damage. Remember we only have one spare RS for the day but I do have the Evo rally car if u break my GTR - a little less hp but a hell of a lot of rally lights.

Concerning compliancing and dealers who own them. It comes down to the this - the public are only buying a few cars so bad dealers buy rubbish. Ok look at the numbers on a good R34 GTR - car cost between 35 - 40k in japan, shipping & duty/gst $7k, compliance 2k, tyres 1k, rego 1.5k plus say $500 for detail or any touchups. So at best around $47k but for this u will get a car with history with around 60 km's. So how do u buy a car for $45k at certain dealers ? With 30km's and zero history ? Well the answer is u can't. I am actually looking at a NUR M right now in Japan and it will owe me close to $70k which is a car with books and 42km's on her. Just need to convince my wife that I need a third GTR in the home. I'm pretty vocal about the issues with GTR's as I actually love the cars and hate seeing rubbish passed off as a good car - it just devalues the good cars in the market. Yes I have sold a couple of cheap GTR's and forum members will tell u I go through every fault in the car with the buyer - why ? Well I'd rather have someone comeback for advise, help or even to chat about their cars than come in upset about their ride.

If u knew how many high end cars I own and work on you would understand what I mean. As u know Kristian I have had my fair share of 360's and 911's but I do have a nice garage and workshop full of jap performance cars and I am never scared to try something new. Next build 3.2ltr based on rb26 - I have my builder coming out from japan for time attack to look at our next project. Looks like the old gold dear will have to go to a nice new home. Maybe you can test that engine for me kristian - next year
-
It's only a car and I can always build another. There is always the RS for next season. Either way if she survives she's probably being sold to build a R34 gtr we have on the board.

What is the old saying -you break it you own it

Yes we all know the industry needs a desperate clean up. One of the issues is people want cars at such cheap prices that certain dealers licensed and unlicensed dealers are buying wrecks in japan cleaning them up and passing them off as good cars with the super sales pitch. I know I would not buy a repaired write off from Australia so why do consumers buy Japanese write-offs ? On a recent visit to a well known suspension shop in Sydney I was asked to look at an evo 8 that was there and give my opinion. Well the answer was "how the hell is this registered ? Let alone complied? ". The car had the OSR inner and outer guard replaced and the OS b pillar had been repaired plus the floor had clamp marks from the puller. The owner of the car was advised to take the car back or go to consumer affairs but he was embarrassed as he said he was a second year mechanic and thought it was ok when he looked at it. The clincher was he had owned the car for only 2 weeks and wondered why the car drove funny. The AYC pump had been disconnected as it was faulty. The worst dealers are the backyard boys and the guys who pretend to be private seller - dumping their rubbish on the private market.
-
I doubt I will do the work as I do not have any R34's booked for them but I do have a bucket load of V35's booked for them. I am sure the boys will look after you, they're one of the better importers. Oh also tease them a little about their Mahindra dealership they own it's a great was to break a hardline price negotiation if they will not move on price.

Look I am one of the owners at japlink and our policy is this - we refuse to sell aftermarket warranties but if you want one here it is on the house. The reason is I have zero faith in them and dealers selling 3 year aftermarket warranty at $700 + are just lining their pockets. If u knew the costs were you would scream. It works like this with us - you buy the car and get a free service within the first 2 months. The service is not just a gimmick it gives both us and the client time to drive the car and settle it in - remember these cars can sit for many months. At this point if there is an issue that arose since purchase and you have not killed the car we will fix it. Simple business. Oh I should say we are actually car people ourselves (we both have a gtr and and evo each), we also have Japanese staff, x panspeed mechanic, a dyno (almost ready), factory manual etc. What we are about is the cars not the money, I have told more than a few prospective buyers "look this is not the car for you". You would be surprised how many buy cars that have done zero research on the car they want. A perfect example is young guys who want RX7's, when you advise them that you really need to keep $4k in their account just in case they tend to say "no way the guy down the road says the cars have very few issues and the warranty will cover it all" wow do they get it wrong (funny how we end up with them in our workshop for repairs). We are not perfect but we try. Just remember a lot of dealers are full of praise for themselves until you have an issue.
-
Recently we have had 6 people in our workshop saying how they had purchased a fresh import and within weeks the cars had been stolen. The most interesting 2 were the following - The guys S15 was taken from his driveway in bellevue hill sydney only a week after he demanded warranty on the car. Wait they rolled his dads new merc out of the driveway first. Does this sound strange ? The second was a guy with a black evo 5 that he picked up the week earlier. He'd parked the car in his mates driveway, went inside and was out within 10mins - car gone with a dealer fitted alarm. Now this guy is a big boy you would not mess with and he knows the car thieves in his area. Does this one sound strange ? Neither car recovered. What bugs me is the cops told both owners that "ah you bought the car from XXXXXXX" yet nothing seems to be getting done. There are so many parts suddenly turning up on eBay at such cheap prices you have to wonder where all the parts come from. Any thoughts out there ?

Have u looked at the new hks oil pumps ? I run a grex in my R33 and it's still holds together with nos, t88, 288 cams and 40psi of boost. I have blown nittos in customers cars on the dyno but all pumps have their limits. I only use jap parts - reason is they have been building big hp rb's for more years than anyone and they have spent plenty on r&d. We all have our preferences when we build.

Not being rude to anyone but bad cars are killing the good ones (making a good car worth less). I see a lot of R34 GTR's and the best ones tend to be bought in directly by places like Iron Chef (no free ads here) and companies like that. The club has some really nice R34 GTR's in its ranks and when you talk to the owners you will find that their cars cost more than the ones advertised on Parramatta Rd etc. The reason - YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR. I personally sold my R34 GTR a couple of years ago and would struggle to buy one that I'd be happy to own again for under $55k -FACT. Dealers are not out there to lose money and they buy in the same places as the other importers - DO NOT BE FOOLED. A GTR with under 100,000k's genuine will have a pretty good trim, there are not a lot of Japanese that are as big as Australians. Enough of my rant - Just remember never assume the GTR you are buying is 100% - Always ask on the forum as you would be suprised on who is actually a member.
