In Gorton, are you on the corner, with the hedge 9.45 psi boost megs? Nigel from Ice performance did the run. :burnout:

Nigel has today given my R33 Auto its first Dyno run, would appreciate your comments on the pretty graph he gave me. Unfortunately, l don't understand what l am looking at so your interpretations would be helpful to me learning.... Thanks Nigel, it runs sweet. http://home.iprimus.com.au/dgmills/dyno.htm:

Calling in to see DrDrift on sat , will see what he thinks of it, keep ya posted:burnout:

Hey guys, it is only at startup, mainly cold starts, its a squeal, like a belt noise, as i stated, it was still there after i slackened off the two outside belts, the fan and powersteering belt, it stopped when l slackened off the alternator belt. All belts are new, the bearings in the alt have been replaced. Now to my line of thinking, all that is left is the balancer.... Can that make a squealling noise, can the outer turn on the inner???? They do have rubber on the inside right?? not happy Jan Thanks DRDrift, will call ya...

sounds fine, where are u and when can we get 2gether David
-
Hi Guys, l have a noise which sounds like a worn belt , but unfortunately still there after changing all belts. Removedthe power steering belt, still there, Removed the water pump belt, still there, removed the alt drive belt, no noise. thought it was a noisy bearing in the alternator, replaced the bearings in the alternator and noise still there. The noise goes away within about 7 -10 seconds of start, don't hear it again. Its pissing me off Any ideas:(

Have just installed mine into a R33, those colors u have are correct, works fine this end, spose you need to check the connections to the ecu. Mine did not start first time du to the harness plug on the Afc becomong dislodged during routing of it into the car. the spare wires are just left open, do not short together. You did read the ecu plug from the wire side??
-
Guys from Ice help me out, thankyou. Was the grey wire, has to be connected to the throttle input. Just not shown in the manual. Happy chappy now....All works.
-
The install drawing does not tell me which color wire is the throttle signal wire, the ecu pinout shows me the location of the throttle signal, i just dont know which wire to attach to it...... hope this makes more sense Frustrated.....
-
Will i continue the install, will the beast still run if i install all but the throttle sense line? goto go to work....
-
Hey Guys, my installation drawing shows 6 wires, red = power Green = Rpm Brown = Ground 1 Black = Ground 2 Yellow = Airflow out White = Airflow In On the Ecu drawing for the R33 it list a throttle signal. Question Is the Throttle signal needed, if so, which color wire is attached to it..... Help needed asap as l am in the middle of the install.. Thankyou

Can i install a 2nd hand SAFC and safely run the car before having it tuned.....Does the SAFC have a default mode of operation where it makes no change to the airflow signal or does it remember the previous owners setting?? Where do most people put the unit, i have a r33, thinking about modifying the small holder benieth the climate control. Any advice greatly appreciated

Hi Inark, yes, l am very keen to get my hands on a SAFC, would appreciate any help you can give. Would probably prefer a new one, but maybe not necessary, what do u think?? David

HI all, just installed a Command Cruise Control into my 1994 R33 gts25t, and i need to locate the speed sensor connection to the ECU. Can anyone help me out here. It was suggested to me that it was the yellow wire with a green trace but am not sure this source is accurate. (dont want to cause damage if he is wrong) any help greatly appreciated.:burnout: For those interested, yes, the yellow wire with the green trace is the correct connection. System works real good.

Hi Rs, Sunbury exhaust would have to be one of the most professional exhaust places arround, they did my r33 3 " system, treated you like a real customer and not an idiot, and looked after the car as well. Workmanship 2nd to none. Aftersale service was also great. Rechecked everything a week after fitment and i will probably go back soon for an additional muffler to drop the note a touch..Sounds great, but just a bit loud.

Sunbury also :uh-huh:

On the righthand side of the gearbox tunnel Adjacent to your left foot is an servo/motor mechanism that sequences the buterflies and water valve via a push/pull cable. This mechanism was stuck, gave a bit of a helping hand and away it went, all is fine now. Fault code 26 then dissapeared, left with Sunload sensor fail but who cares...Ive got heat now.. Can someone tell how to identify/find the Sunload sensor????
-
I found and run the test, but unfortunately did not show up anything, does anyone know where the water control valve is, i presume its an electric solenoid type hidden away somewhere?? Climate Control Diagnostics R32 and R33 The climate control has a diagnostic mode. Enter the diagnostic mode by pressing the OFF button for five seconds within ten seconds of turning the ignition on. Sensor check Sensor check is selected by pressing HOT switch (the red triangle) while in diagnostic mode. The microcomputer detects whether each sensor input signal is within correct parameters. The results are displayed on the screen. If normal, a "20" is displayed. If abnormal the failed sensor number is displayed. The sensor numbers are as follows: 20 - all is normal 21 - outside air sensor 22 - Inside air sensor 23 - Water temperature sensor 24 - Intake temperature sensor 25 - Sunload sensor (small sensor on the left hand side of the dashboard near the windscreen) 26 - PBR 27 - Refrigerant temperature sensor This should tell you if any of your sensors are faulty. Mode door position check (This is probably not the cause of your problems but it is a nifty self check to play with). While in Sensor check, depress the HOT button again. This will operate the the mode door actuator, and checks the whether the position detection switch is operating. Again the results are displayed on the display. If normal, a "30" is displayed. If abnormal the number of the faulty mode is displayed as follows: 30: Normal 31: VENT 32: B/L (Bi level) 34: FOOT 35: DEFROST/FOOT 36: DEFROST
