  1. Told you i wasnt sure....lol. I have the memory span of a goldfish! Just thought it would be worthwhile mentioning just incase though, glad its all ok!
  2. *cough* and some stageas *cough*...lol Seriously though, the 2860rs -5 are basically the same size as the standard turbos from the research ive done recently, just with steel wheels. Ive just fitted the 2860rs-7 to my 260rs, which in my case was the biggest i could go and keep them low mount cos theres not alot of room under there! The next up from there is either a -9 or -10 which the exhaust housings were too large to be mounted, but also they dont come on boost til very late either so it doesnt make it very streetable as a daily. Not gospel of course, just what i had found out doing some poking around, so might be something you want to check!

  4. Ha ha yeah that was me lee, can finally drive it again after tearing the ligaments in my ankle! Nearly all run in now too! I actually saw you heading down main north sunday i rekon it was, sun was in my face so i gave you a wave but didnt know if you saw me!
  5. Hey mate, yeah i rekon i did have a chat with you at scs! The Stageas are very skyline based in alot of there parts, so generally getting anything you need isnt hard when you track down the relevant part numbers. Dennis at Boostin Oz does all my work and i would highly recommend having a chat with him. Tell him i told you to get in contact and he will look after you, he's use to playing with stageas because of me...lol. Cheers Ben

Hey guys, After spending a massive amount of cash rebuilding the motor im more enclined to listen to the guys that built it, there are set procedures of certain revs etc that i am following to bed the motor in correctly. It isnt a good idea to put a brand new motor under massive load from the word go unless its a drag car and your going to rebuild it every week. Its not the first time ive had to run a motor in and i believe following a run in process is the safe way to go about things. There are obvious signs of seeing a new motor on a dyno for tunning purposes that show that a new motor appears "tight" and wont rev hard, so making it rev hard will inevitably cause some sort of damage or premature wear. Where as running the motor in under lower load to allow things to settle in makes alot more sense to me. Im happy to wait and follow the mechanics process, that way if something goes bang i have someone to take it back too. Ive done the ligaments in my ankle so i wont be able to drive it for a few weeks unfortunately! When i finally get to do max power tuning ill let you know what it comes up with! Cheers Ben
  8. Stageas have black glass on the rear windows, its only the driver and passenger window that needs to be done, so id hope they would be even cheaper...lol

  10. Hi Geoff, Just wondered if you may be interested in doing a swap with a bike i have. Ive got a 2006 GSXR1000 that has only done 820kms. Its in immaculate condition, basically brand new. I paid 20k for it a year ago, and wondered if you would look at working something out? Cheers Ben
  11. As patrick suggested id be interested in a magazine shoot with the 32 and the 260rs. Still running the 260 in, few more kms to do then i should be rolling around 320awkw. Engine bay has been cleaned up a bit aswell so looks good in pics.
  12. I'll be curious to see what it ends up rolling on a dyno after run in, should be some awesome figures! Im in the middle of running my 260 in at the moment, half way through a 3000km run in! So frustrating having to drive it like a grandma when you know what you have under the bonnet, the price of build ups is a good reason for self control though even when you pull up at the lights next to something you know you can kill thats stirring you up! I havent gone as crazy as this build up, but have still done enough to be looking at 320-330awkw when its finally run in! Nice work tho!
  13. I was just speaking to a source in the know, apparently the official number of skylines reported stolen in august was 30! The more concerning news to go with it is that approximately 80% of the cars that have been stolen have never shown up again, not even as parts being sold, so the question is, where the hell are they??

Driving home just now i nearly had a heart attack, spotted the rear of a stagea in the distance with a trade plate hanging off the rear and did some weaving to catch up, wasnt til i got a lil closer i realised it was silver, still managed to catch up though to check the rear wing just incase, but it only had a short wing so was just coincedental with the trader plate! Still keeping my eyes peeled, hope the car turns up soon!

  16. Who saw this and did they call the police and report it? Seems odd for a stagea to be stolen in respect to the fact there arent many around so it would be fairly easily spotted, so to me its either a case that they already own a stagea and plan to use it for parts, or that they will try to sell it interstate, which again would still make it fairly easy to find due to the fact there arent entirely a large number of them in the country. Still worrying though, and from memory is the first reported case of a stagea being targeted that ive heard of, but ill be making sure both of mine are locked up tight at all times in any case!
  17. Hey guys, im being a lil conservative in the power figures possibly, but that way im not disappointed if it doesnt roll higher! lol! At this stage i havent done injectors or fpr, thats why im thinking the figures i am. The exhaust is already done though with hks style manifolds, 4 inch split dump pipes, 3.5inch stainless system with high flow cat into twin cannons on the rear, so should be able to handle the flow. I"ll definitely keep you updated when its finally back together and run in though!

Well so this doesnt turn into a novel, basically forged internals, over sized pistons, crank has been balanced and stroke matched,block has been acid dipped and crack tested, using head studs now, tomei sump and rocker cover baffles, tomei metal gaskets, hks style manifolds, GT2860R turbos, full replacement ecu to cover the basics. Waiting on the turbos to arrive, the motor is being assembled as we speak with all new bearings and gaskets etc. Still about 3 weeks off turn key id say, then i have the agonising task of running it in! I get the feeling im gona be driving along way the first weekend i get it back to get some power dialed in asap!

  22. Simply put, yes they fit, i have them on my 260 running 255's all round.
  23. Yeah its not bad for a daily, gets some interesting looks..lol. Heres my 260, its in getting a few bits done, should get it back in 2 weeks rolling 310-320awkw!
  24. Hey jase, I bought the car already complied, but i believe the nismo wheels, kit and suspension were all on the car when it came over from the documents supplied with the car. I have toyed with the idea of making moulds due to the lack of stagea kits available in australia. May be selling the car soon to further fund more work on my 260 though!
  25. Are these the rims your meaning? This is my daily rs4, i think the stickers are still inside the rims, i could check if the offset is written on them if you like?
