  2. yip chekc ring gaps and they were spot on according to the manual took alot of time seating the rings correctly for a proper seal maybe I should drive it a bit more and hope it gets better?
  3. yes i have pushed a bit into boost and afrs seem good on boost 12 afr and idle is around 14.3-14.9 cruising is also around those numbers I'm not seeing any smoking etc
  4. i'm almost at a feeling that the motor is fooked now and another rebuild is in the pipework

I did the rebuild evrything was in spec initial startup was with normal mineral oil idling for about 30 min I then drained the oil and started driving but the conditions was a bit rich and battled with tuning then after another 200km i drained the oil that was also smelling of fuel some new oil now and smelling of fuel again after 150k its still stock bore with stock pistons and new rings bores was honed before assembly for bedding

  10. Hi Guys testing compression on my rebuilt motor returns about 100psi across all 6, so my question is is this normal with these cams and have others experienced the same numbers I have checked some guys having the same results but didnt find too many

  12. Hi Guys just out of interest, when finding true TDC would You set your CAS timing to this new mark or to the old mark on the belt cover? I followed this procedure to get true tdc http://www.nicoclub.com/archives/how-to-degree-an-rbxxdettt-camshaft.html and it is a bit away from where it would be for a stock setup

  16. with the settings at the moment everything is almost spot on cruise will hover around 14.5-14.7
  17. I'll sort out a couple of bugs first and do a 1000km run in then get it tuned
  18. its still stock setting on the PFC initialized pfc and only set the mafs and injector settings and it was almost spot on i will check the accelerate setting tonight and let You know

Update I think I resolved the issue here did a silicone grease trick on the ignition coils degreed cams a bit +2 intake -4 exhaust installed stock bov's recirculation now with the setting of 59.2 and 0.24 on the injectors it idles almost perfect 14.7 acceleration is also almost find just a bit of leanness when initial pushing of the throttle

  22. Yes I do have bigger injectors I have RC pl4-750d 750cc injectors, played alot with the settings and ended up on 59.2% and +0.24 lag time this seems to work best, if anyone has used these injectors with apexi would you mind sharing your experience and settings please
  23. ok so Update I checked cam timing according to true TDC everything is spot on I did a compression test on the fresh motor couple of km's on it and it was super low 6bar 87psi cold, could be due to cams and not run in yet I am at a loss here and I feel I want to burn this fekker so when on idle now it would be on 12 afr but very rough as soon as i want to rev it up slowly it starts leaning out up to the point that it wants to die when I leave the throttle it wants to die aswell then i need to sort of keep it alive, I am now getting a set of standard recirc bovs in hope that that can help but wont bet my life on it
  24. Thanks that makes sense will get 0 first and go from there lucky i have ross damper with degree markings on it
