  1. Any cleaning up of the ports is going to is going to yield a gain, a slight cleanup should be fine for you application. The less restriction in the head the more power you will make. Find somwhere to get it extrude honed..
  2. Thats true with most of the trust turbo's, also HKS turbo's are modified garret turbo's and they are ball bearing which should help improve spoolup, and they can be rebult with carret internals, that said both trust and hks have excellent reputations so it's up to personal choice.
  3. It's been done a few times, a better idea wich alot of people do is position the pod over the old intercooler pipe and run the ducting from the hole in the front bar to the old intercooling pipe hole. This will get heaps of cold air pointed towards your pod and even get some cold air into the engine bay. Also in you could make a box around the pod then you would truly have a c.a.i(edit) setup which would be ideal.

  15. I *had* the same problem up untill yesterday, have a look for the thread i started in forced induction performance and read that for a checklist of things you can do at home rather then spending $'s at a workshop. I had a bad earth which cost me $9 to fix and a dead coil which cost me $35, try some of the things in that thread to diognose the problem, then if all else fails, go to a mechanic.
  16. Try calling autobahn as they stock trust turbo's and maybe should be able to sell you trust dumps.. Its worth a try. Try modyourcar.com.au they do trust dumps aswell. If they dont work try calling someone like unique autosports, croydon racing developments or advan as they do trsut stuff and must have the gear you're after.
  17. Hrm, the cylinder doesn't die now, but it still feels like its not a solid spark, like the spark is getting blown out, could it be an earthing problem?
  18. Price drop, $1100 ono with rubber. Must sell!
  19. Thanks for that info, very helpful! I'm getting some rb20 coils this afternoon to put in to replace the one i know is dead, i also had a feeling that it may not be grounding/earthing as good as it should be aswell, so i might get an earthing kit, or make one up. The plugs are fine, no signs of cracking but the one on the dead coil is wet looking as it would be because its not sparking, other than that they are good, they're only 3 days old. If that doesn't fix the problem i can grab a whole set of coils, igniter and harness of a mate.
  20. Thanks for that info, can anyone else confirm this at all?
  21. Dead coil, pulled the coils off one by one and checked them when it dropped a cyl, number 5 was dead and made no difference so i swapped it with number one and then number one died and made no difference when i started it back up. Does anyone know if rb25 coils will work on the rb26, and if so will it be safe?
