No it's a standard non-turbo falcon family car.

Hi all, As per the title, we are selling our 2002 BA Falcon XT Sedan. It has just passed 64000 kms and is White. It has an Automatic Triptronic transmission. In addition to the standard features below, it also comes with a rear spoiler, cruise control, Towbar, and near new tyres. The car has all the standard features including: 182KW 4.0L Inline Six engine Front power windows and mirrors Factory Alarm and Immobiliser CD Player Dual Airbags Big boot with 60/40 seats Perfect for conversion to gas under the new government scheme, and a modern, comfortable and reliable family car. Price is $14000 ONO. No pics at this stage but it looks like every other BA Falcon with spoiler that you'd see on the roads. May be interested in a trading for a Skyline or similar sports car with a small amount of cash adjustment either way possible.

I installed Jaycar Kevlar 6x9's (~$150) in my R33 and they sounded very bassy, bassier then the Kenwood 7x10's I had in my previous car. That was with a 100watt RMS amp though... do yourself a favour and get an amp if you don't have one, massive difference - about $300 for a Jaycar 4x100watt amp.

Thanks for the helpful response!

Hehe - could you guys elaborate on why? Over a similarly quick GTS-T.

Hi all, I'm facing a bit of a conundrum. My 96 GTS-T was stolen last year and I'm looking at getting another one in the next few months. The thing is, I can't decide whether or not to get a GT-R and keep it relatively stock, or buy a modified GTS-T. Advantages of GT-R are obvious - 4WD, bigger brakes, more power in stock form, better seats, better suspension etc. Advantages of GTS-T - cheaper (both to buy, maintain, and insure), lighter, IMO looks better (I personally prefer the Series 2 GTS-T bodykit over the GT-R body kit) What are your thoughts. Is there a compelling reason why I should get a GT-R over a modified (220-250rwkw) GTS-T, which would turn out cheaper anyhow? My old GTS-T was only 170rwkw, and not quick enough!

Airbox, Older Head Units, Speakers
Ionos replied to Ionos's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Sorry for the delay guys had a few busy days there. I've replied to all PM's. Not able to do postage for now as I'm unable to get to a post office during the day, but if I can do it later on I'll update the thread. -
I have the following for sale, pickup only and all prices are firm. No time wasting please, I've set reasonably cheap prices for quick sales. R33 Airbox + Snorkel + Filter for sale - $40 Stock Intercooler to Intake pipe - $10 Carozzeria 4 way shelf speakers with white/blue backlight (look pretty cool) - $20 Alpine Double DIN CD/3 MD deck with graphics equaliser, came with car from Japan, works fine. CD player model # CDA-7841J. MD/EQ # is MDA-5050. FM radio will not work without an adaptor ($20 or so i think). $40 I also have an older Kenwood deck which has a seperate half DIN EQ, seperate amp (4x50 watt i "think"), and 10 stacker CD player. It's a bit old but works fine, however I have lost the cable that goes between the CD stacker and the head unit. $20 for the lot. EDIT: I should mention, I'm in the North East suburbs of Adelaide.

Bump. Local buyers - make me a reasonable offer I also have a ball & spring boost controller, $20 pickup (the one that was discussed extensively in the forced induction forum) SOLD Some Alpine DDrive 6" speakers - $20 pickup Carozzeria 4 way shelf speakers with white/blue backlight - $20 Alpine Double DIN CD/3 MD deck, came with car from Japan, works fine - $40 SOLD

I have a few bits and pieces for sale. Highest offer wins, pickup is very much preferred. Pioneer DEH-P8650MP Head Unit FACE ONLY - the actual unit has been stolen but I have the face and plastic carry case for sale. They are in excellent condition and would suit someone who has the same unit and would like a another face for a replacement, or spare incase theirs breaks/is stolen. You cannot buy these new, you'd have to buy a whole new CD player. The deck retails for ~$1000. After $150+ for this. SOLD BATMBL Hi Flow Big Body Cat - paid $280 for it a few months ago, it was only on the car for a few weeks. AS NEW and will bolt straight on to R33's ... possibly other models, unsure. 3" flanges. Again $150+. SOLD Stock R33 Dump/Down pipes with shielding. $20+ Stock R33 Intercooler and return pipe. $30+ SOLD Stock R33 Air Box and Snorkel. $40+

R33 gts-t parts for sale
Ionos replied to Moggy's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Hi mate - Surely you could get more then $20 for a MINES Ecu? Perhaps you should mention this in your original post? -
Thanks mate I'll try that.

My alternator is making a whining noise - it's coming from the actual alternator itself, not through the speakers, I can hear it very loudly when I lift the bonnet and can also hear it from the cabin. Any thoughts? Is it dying? Noise seems to increase with load on the alternator (a/c, etc)

Paul - is it still possible to get in on this for a PowerFC? I have a 1996 R33 GTS-T Series 2. EDIT - Btw I should add that I am able to make payment immediately if I can get in on this buy.
