thanks for that -
i think i am gonna look into the haltech elfex sensor, apparently its great to help your map adjust to different levels might look into that beofre i go into the e85 - with the mods i have my tuner said to put in a surge tank and 2 x 044 which i done so i guess everything else is ok - might have another chat with him before i decide
That my thread and info is not in there hence this post -
NYTSKY - i dont mind having to top it up every now and then i guess i am more worried that it will eat through my fuel line and destroy them -
if i have to put new lot of fuel in every week i wont bother with it as i wont use a tank that quickly
as some of you may know i am going down the E85 road.
my question is the guys that are using it do you use your car everyday?
i have been speaking to to a few people and they have said if i am only using it on weeks ends it will causing me more problems as the fuel will drop to much octane over the week and will eat out my fuel lines?
they said to run fresh fuel everytime -
i will only be driving it the odd day during the week and same as some weekends.
what peopls experience / opinion.

i have noticed a few cars on here and in other forums running stock motors (internals) but have bolt on mods - and ppl are running NOS -
for example if your running 300kw rb25det plus a shot of NOS how much more damage/ AND RISK IS THIS?
i see these guys are consistantly running drags, with simlar set ups.
is this worth the money / risk.
my car will see a drag stripp once or twice a year - and hopefully powercruise so it will not be getting thumpped that often-
just after opinions and experience
yeah i no - i aint gonna get picky lower price to usage lol car is driven once or twice a week so my usage is not high i guess price dont really matter the performance dose want this motor to last till i finish my other one
just going with 300kw
stock internals so dont wanna go over the top -
got the bolt ons to do the power - might as well do the fuel - its alot cheaper then $1.68 plus i am building a 30/25 on the side which i will run e85 on -
and from what i have seen if tuned properly this fuel is much better for the engine ect -
another main reason is i am currently running a tune on 7 psi as when i had my full tune the waste gate was failing so fixed a few things up and hopefulty this tune is good
its been alot of woork i had my car stripped and alot of stuff stolen a few years ago so been a slow process getting the car back to road worthy -
Hi guys
My tuner told me to bring 2 drums of e85 to the tune,
Dose anyone know where to order / organize this?
Should I just organize two drums somewhere and go fill it?
not sure how the nis tune thing works - but when it come to tuning you pay for what you get and Ed might be more pricey then others - not much - but he is worth every cent in my opinion - and has great results in a wide range of cars, engines and ecu's-
in my opinion put the extra in and go to him rather then saving a few bucks -
