July Group Buy On Qfm Brake Pads Including Brembo!
gslrallysport replied to gslrallysport's topic in Group Buys
Hi mate, That's unusual! Were they A1RM or HPX pads? How long after you fitted them did it start? Did you machine the rotors? Did you re-fit the original shims? Squeal is caused by vibration between the backing plates and the caliper itself (nothing to do with the pad material itself), and so, depending on machining tolerances, some calipers will do it not matter what pads are in it. Try some Loctite 3 (permatex) on the backing plates as often this is a better fix than the proper anti-squeal stuff. Regards, Greg -

Hi mate, Yep, you got front and rear A1RM to suit normal turbo brakes. They have gone up slightly since then, and are $191 for the complete set delivered. Got two sets left in this group buy, just let me know and I can email you through an invoice etc. Regards, Greg -
July Group Buy On Qfm Brake Pads Including Brembo!
gslrallysport replied to gslrallysport's topic in Group Buys
Hi mate, Its not a one off, but with the Brembo pads, its a custom order, so not something that we always keep in stock. I dunno mate. The K750 is a pad produced specifically for a certain distributor. We're not privy to the various compound make-ups, suffice to say its a very similar pad. Any other questions just let me know. gslrallysport replied to gslrallysport's topic in Group Buys
I was going to say, if you're after a good all round street pad, without rotor wear I wouldn't have been going the DS2500s! We'll have a few sets of the HPX in stock soon, and I'll get the next group buy of pads happening as soon as possible. Otherwise I've got the Lucas pads on the shelf here now, $65/$55 front/rear. But I'd hold out for the HPX as they are a less dusty pad with similar performance. -
July Group Buy On Qfm Brake Pads Including Brembo!
gslrallysport replied to gslrallysport's topic in Group Buys
Hi mate, The GTT should just use the normal turbo pads, not the Brembo calipers. Just double check that your pads look like this, front: http://www.bendix.com.au/catalogue/images/...Inner_Outer.gif rear: http://www.bendix.com.au/catalogue/images/...Inner_Outer.gif Which we've only got in A1RM in this group buy. If you just wanted the HPX pads, that are basically the better all round performance street pad (the A1RM, although brilliant in performance, can be a slightly dusty pad), then we should have the HPX in the next group buy. -
Although Briatore is his man, Webber won't go to Renault. They're not going to repeat the success they have a couple of years ago (with the mass damper among other things), and recent reports from Renault indicate a withdrawal from F1, and a return to World Rally unless F1 gets a whole lot cheaper a whole lot quicker. Renault are ideally placed to follow in Suzuki's foot steps by stepping up from the Junior Category to the real thing. And with the WRC going to a S2000 type car in the next couple of years, the money required will be substantially less than what it is with the current WRCar regulations, and closer ties in to Renault marketing from an automotive perspective. Renault would probably however stay on as an engine manufacturer, and I think RBR has a good technical team behind them, and without the hassle of having to worry about developing engines are well placed to continue their good form. Also, if Renault F1 were to fold, a fair chunk of their talent would have to go somewhere, and again RBR would have the relationship already and dollars to support taking who they wanted. I wasn't a fan of Webber to RBR a while ago, but I think they're going to really start to surprise some people provided they've got their head around the '09 regulations.

April Group Buy Special - Qfm Performance Brake Pads Half Price!
gslrallysport replied to gslrallysport's topic in Group Buys
No word as yet mate. Shouldn't be any more than a week now I'd imagine. Will definately send them out to you straight away. Cheers, Greg -
Hi guys, For the both of you, unfortunately no-go on the gloves. They'll stretch a little. I kept a pair for myself and wore them around work all day on Tues to get them to loosen up a bit. Really depends on how wide your foot is I guess. If you're not quite as long as a 12, then maybe you could get away with the 11. Worst case, the $249 includes shipping to you, so provided you're prepared to pay any return freight, then refunding you your money isn't an issue. Also, there's only 1 Size 11 black left. Updated availability is: Black High Race Boot Available: 1 x Size 7 1 x Size 11 Red/Black High Race Boot Available: 1 x Size 9 1 x Size 10 1 x Size 11 Red/Black Low Race Boot Available: 1 x Size 8 2 x Size 12 Blue/Grey High Race Boot Available: 1 x Size 7 Regards, Greg

We've just been able to scoop purchase Oakley Racing Boots at a ridiculous price! All of these boots RRP for over $400, and we're selling them off on special for $249 shipped! In Compliance with FIA Standard 8856-2000, these boots are suitable for use in all motorsport events right up to Formula 1 and World Rally! The sizes are US, so they're 1 above the UK system, which is what we use, so if you're usually a 10, then you'd need to choose 11. For those that are local (North Brisbane) best to come in and try them! Or else the Oakley Size chart is here: http://oakley.com.au/customer_service/footwear_chart They use the US system, so that's the available sizes we've quoted here. Black High Race Boot Photo 1 Photo 2 Available: 1 x Size 7 2 x Size 11 1 x Size 12 Red/Black High Race Boot Photo 1 Photo 2 Available: 1 x Size 8 2 x Size 9 1 x Size 10 2 x Size 11 Red/Black Low Race Boot Photo 1 Photo 2 Available: 1 x Size 8 2 x Size 12 1 x Size 13 Blue/Grey High Race Boot Photo 1 Photo 2 Available: 1 x Size 7 1 x Size 12 2 x Size 13 All brand new, in box, with Oakley Warranty. GTR Pads are available. We've got, for this group buy, 3 sets of HPX and 1 set of A1RM. HPX for the GTR are $119 per set for the HPX and $149 per set for the A1RM. So, group buy half price rears on: - HPX $119 + $59.50 + $12.50 = $191 shipped - A1RM $149 + $74.50 + $12.50 = $236 shipped. -

Hi mate, Definitely when we get some more stock I'll throw another thread up, or edit this one! Sorry about the inconvenience. Regards, Greg -
Yeah, the 14yr old at Repco probably didn't know what 'F' and 'R' meant in the catalouge! :laughing-smiley-014:

Phil, Yep, unless you've got Brembo brakes (very unlikely on a GTST), then should just be the normal DB1170. Your calipers should be black with Nissan written on them. If you're chasing a good high performance street pad (similar to Bendix Ultimate in performance), but without dust and excessive rotor wear, then most people can't go past the QFM HPX. There was a group buy going on with fronts and rears (but the rears have run out), but you can still get the fronts delivered for $75. Either checkout the group buy thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ap...al-t212955.html or http://www.qfmperformance.com Greg

April Group Buy Special - Qfm Performance Brake Pads Half Price!
gslrallysport replied to gslrallysport's topic in Group Buys
Thanks guys! Unfortunately that's all of them gone! I was going to try and squeeze in a couple more, but unfortunately QFM are out of stock of the rear backing plates! I'll post up another group buy offer when we get some more stock of the rears (maybe a combo with racing brake fluid this time or something similar). If anyone was just chasing fronts, I have still got 4 sets of the HPX, but that's all I've got left! Regards, Greg
