Ok, got a problem with my fuel pump, first a bit of background was driving to work last week, low on gas, car suddenly died, after several attempts it restarted, thought is was cause gas was low, refilled at next servo, car fine for about a week. was coming home the other day, had over 1/2 a tank of gas and it dies on me again. it cranks over like it wants to start, after several attempts, about 5 mins it starts again, then drive another couple of k's and the same thing happens. once again after several attempts it restarts. i was so close to the mechanics so thought i would head straight there. but cuts out again a couple of mins later. this time wont restart at all, almost does a couple of times. so call a tilt tray, by the time they arrive mechanics is long closed so i have it towed to my house. so i start checking it out, when ignition is swithed on no noise from pump. so put mutlimeter on terminals, positive is getting power and so is negative(i understand that restistance drops on negative to control speed of pump,btw its a stock setup) Remove pump from tank hook up to battery pump runs fine. now should i just do the direct power feed relay mod or is there a simpler solution to fix the prob, eg is there a faulty sensor on the engine caused by the fuel getting so low or something? or faulty fuel pump control module etc. i dont think it would be a faulty sensor as i would think that the pump would at least prime when ignition is turned on. anyway any help would be greatly apprecciated cheers, matt

I went through kiwi, and like cowie the rear spoiler was severly damaged where they used chains to hold down the car, front spoiler was grill wad cracked and paint removed where they tied it down at the front. I contacted them when i first viewed the car and they promptly sent out a fax showing damage thay recorded before it left japan. This was obviously innaccurate as i knew when purchasing the car(i had photo's of these) there was a ding/scrape above the front left wheel arch and large scrape on the front left corner of the bumber. None of these were recorded on the sheet. I questioned the accuracy and said i had photo's i the car before it left japan which clearly showed it did not have this extra damage around the spoiler and front grill. She said they will not accept photo's as they can be modified/photoshoped. She then started to explain the processes and the excess i would have to pay, i got the impression they were going to stuff me around and just wanted my car on the road so just took it to a panel beater and paid myself. Insurance companies are scum of the earth, a few years ago i had a brand new $45,000 car insured with a major comapny, it was stolen and written off, the insurance company had a policy where if under a year old they will replace with a brand new one. It took seven months before i got my new car. I had to refax info 3 times because they misplaced it, they took forever to return my calls it was a joke!

Just bought a set of Dunlop Direzza DZ101 255x35xr17 from nathan at grey imports at annandale. got a real good price fitted balanced and wheel alignment. Was in there last week and think he had one set left. give him a call on 95195150.

sorry i didn't read this post earlier, could have offered a few suggestions,had the same problems with my gtr when it arrived with no abs gear, ABS light on, 4WD light on. Thought they must be related cause i had read if you remove 4wd fuse also loose ABS. But after some stuffing around, the cause of 4wd light was faulty regulator on alternator supplying fluctuating current to TPS. Removing ABS has no affect on 4wd, my system was simply unplugged and replaced with gtst master cylinder and piping.

have the regulator on your alternator checked, i had a similar problem. thought it might have been my tps, when i put a multimetre on the tps the voltage was all over the place. turned out the regulator was'nt regulating the current. so replaced it and have'nt had the problem again.

The sydney Z car club runs these sort of things, i remember one a couple of years ago hosted at unique autosports in castle hill. picked up some great bargins, also a great opportunity to check out some great cars. I'm sure john@unique would be more than happy to have something simillar for skylines. Maybe on a sunday when most of the other shops around unique are shut.

At first i use to think she was not guilty, but just over the past couple of days i have heard a couple of stories to make me think she might be guilty. 1) a friend was having a kitchen done and the guy putting in the kitchen was talking about the case and said he was installing a kitchen for another couple a few weeks ago who told him that they actually did a drug deal with schappelle and her brother a few years ago in byron bay. 2) was telling this story to a mate who's girlfriend is a cop and he said yeah his girlfriend said both her and her brother are well known up and sown the east coast for dealing drugs. The media is only going to push one side of the story. guillty or not no australian media or government officials are going to condemn an australian to death. had she been trialled in australia alot more about her history/background would have come out. just my 2 cents.

they work on both g forces and traction. sensors detect if rear wheels are rotating faster than front and feed power into front accordingly. thats why gtr's need wheel sizes exactly the same otherwise power will be fed into front wheels cause computer thinks wheels are slipping
