my car is an october build, been booked on a ship since september, still waiting. spoke to geoff the other day, he says i should see it before christmas. Don't like my chances though

yeah i'm the same, its an oct build so thought would have it by end of october, sold my other car a couple of weeks ago in anticipation. So now i got no ride. It's pissing me off. i definetly want it before christmas

Anyone know what is required to change the lifters, i've got a vg30 but i'm pretty sure it will be the same set up as an rb20/25. I've looked at the tutorial listed in a post here but from memory last time i had my rocker cover off the cam lobes seemed to sit directly above the lifters, so do i need to remove camshaft to replace lifters. any advice would be greatly appreciated. cheers

yeah merlin, if your account has been debited then it means approval will arrive in the mail in a couple of days time. Man, 6 days is a quick turnaround

so why do they bump them, do they give preference to new cars/manufactures like toyota, nissan etc? and grey imports just fill up the empty spaces or what?

Yeah i know it will be worth the wait though, wanted a gtr since i was like 12, so i've waited for like 16 years another month aint gonna hurt. just thinking of that sweet sound when i fire her up for the first time

is that right due to leave on the 28th of october, that means wont arrive til mid november. that sucks, sold my car the other day thinking it shouldn't be too much longer, looks like i'm walking for another month or so

My R32 is due for import this month. I had all the docs ready to mail off on october 1. But geoff from prestige emailed me and said i could fax them off early(think it was about 25 september) so i rang dotars and asked firstly could i fax it, they said that was fine, then i asked them if i could send it early and the lady said there is no problem with that too. So i faxed it off in september then rang dotars a couple of days later to make sure they had recieved it. My import approval arrived in the mail a couple of days ago(approx 17 business days from when i faxed it) So i'm sure if you send it off a little earlier there is no problem, i wouldn't risk sending it off months earlier as may get 'lost' Now i gotta get the dam thing on a ship, geoff said he was having it booked on the next available ship(that was about 5 weeks ago) spoke to him the other day and he has not recieved the schedule from the supplier yet so who knows whats happening.
