Ok let me get this right. You soldered a wire into C1/CONT 1 pin? then earthed it? but you are using a switch to earth/unearth it? can it be earth permanently so as soon I turn on the car it turns on the screen straight to VTR? or will I loose the CD player option. Or is it unwise to permanently eathed it? Sorry for the stupid questions. I only interested using the OEM screen as an aid for reversing, I cant be bothered using the other functions on the NAVI because everything is in Jap.

Yay after giving it another go, finally got the reversing camera working thru the tv/tuner. I had to set the tv to VTR and it works. Only problem is, as soon as I let the foot brakes off it turns the tv off! Anyone had try to bypass this wire or can it be cut?

i do, it doesn't dip but it makes it darker.

Yip plug the camera into the jap tuner(its got one of those square plug with 6pins). Camera is NTSC. Not sure what S1 tuner looks like. No none of the above relays or conversions.

@Daniel, The camera is aftermarket. It seems that the tv tuner is different kettle of fish compare to S1 Stageas.

I've read somewhere here that there is a button/option to activate AUX in the TV/Navigation system. Is this true? Trying to get my reversing camera working. Everything is in japanese.

Well im not planning on turning the car into a racecar, it will be just a daily driven car. I felt the front calipers needing a little bit of beef, rather than a single pot. Its just me not wanting to spend too much on big brand names.

Severe frost turned snow into ice over night. So roads are very slippery, in some areas black ice! The Stag did a marvelous job keeping me safe driving to work.

@Daleo, Hi, did you just upgraded the calipers from an r34gt-t? Im hoping just to do the same, dont want to spend too much on an upgrade.

i agree, these beasts are built for snow. It drove it with no dramas at all! unlike my old ford focus, it used to slip/slide everywhere. Yeah the cold weather pack is a big bonus.

well its snowing heavily here in the south island Nz today, so on my way home i push the button SNOW and the car went from 2wd to 4wd. It works brilliantly it starts in 2nd gear and i think its 40/60 split torque. Also the heater under the windscreen works a treat, no snow build-ups.

Hi All, Does anyone upgraded the brake calipers on a NM35?..im looking just doing the front calipers, anything should be better than the standard single pot. Would the R32gts-t 4pot a straight bolt on? and would my standard rims fits? Theres alot of threads for brake upgrades on early Stageas but not much on later series2 NM35's. Cheers guys.

Hi Guys, Does anyone know how to get the handsfree working on the M35 series2. I read somewhere here that someone got it working. Abit hard when everything is in Japanese.

Today, i pulled the glovebox apart to investigate what sorts of plug connectors the DVD rom's got, and found the glovebox light was blown. Replaced the bulb, all good now. Also cleaned the pollen filter. Still not able to get the reversing camera wired up as the camera wont work for some reason(ntsc). Also gave it a wash.

I've noticed the auto headlight does a two stage switching. Depending on the ambient lighting, it will only turn on the park lights and when it gets a little bit darker then it turns on the headlights and vice versa. How cool is that!

Yes I agree, i love the blue colour looks so much better. I got the towbar fitted prior to picking up the Stag from the dealer. I was originally looking at Skyline 350gt-8 sedan when I spotted the wagon, test drove both, agonised for a week to which one to buy, but I settled with the Stag. Very happy with it, so much space inside. Will be posting some pics for the towbar soon. I might have to look at installing a new tuner at some stage, not important yet just the reversing camera atmo. Anyone use the auto headlight switch much?

Yeah bit difficult to get the tv going here due to our digital signal, so im not bothering for the meantime, although i hope to get the reversing camera going so atleast i can utelise the factory pop-up tv screen. Anyone done an install on a Series2??

Hi, Well i decided to trade-in my 06 Focus and bought myself a Stagea Series2 M35 ARX-FOUR. I used to own an r32 coupe Skyline 2.5, before i bought my house, since then I had to sell the Skyline for something more userfriendly(karting building materials). This is alot bigger car than my old Focus, so still getting use to the size of it. Got all the luxuries including a twin sunroof and heated wing mirrors. All the gadgets including the useless Tv that cant be use..lol. Been reading alot of posting here on how to get the DVD-rom to change the language. Also im looking at upgrading the front brakes as they are only single pot, any suggetions on Series2?? also in the process of installing a reversing camera this long weekend. Look forward to interacting with fellow Stagea enthusiasts. Cheers
