  1. facing same problem.... its illegal to not have a pod filter enclosed but having one in itself is not illegal as far as I know Just get an enclosure like the one suggested above... or this one which is cheaper.... http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/251195349599?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 Im going to fit a blitz turnflow intercooler this friday does anyone know if any mods will need to be made to the above enclosures to attach this to cover the pod?
  2. LMAOOO i know! absolute noobness at its best.
  3. ive got 3inch straight through, pod , splitfires & installing boost controller and FMIC next friday and turning it up to 10psi.Running ku31's all round with pedders xa coils. So just basic mods... Mate has a stock 350 ready to race. Guess I'l have to video it and we'll see..
  4. r33 with exhaust/intake mods and running 10 pounds would beat a stock 350z any day of the week.
  5. only true hid's require this and have to be self leveling i think...im speaking about globe replacement that should have nothing to do with headlight washers. am i wrong in my thinking?
  6. this seems to be quite popular : http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/B-M-Supercooler-Transmission-Cooler-Compact-Quality-/360205003217?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item53dde429d1
  7. this is what ive been hearing but St.George tyres have ku31's 235 for $159.99 and 225's for $130 - they will do my alignment for me for free as well (not going to tempe because i dont trust them with balacing and alignment) so..for $40..stick with 235 in kumho ku31's?
  8. Hi Guys So thinking of putting 225 40 18 tyres where there were 235 40 18 on previously. Would this fill the guard less or would it stretch on the rim and fill the guard about the same(really like how my current tyres fill the guard atm) Wanted to know as the 225's are so much cheaper in the same brand.. Thanks for any help Cheers
  9. lol.u wont,
  10. Hey guys Going to change my globes to super white xenon ones. Which ones are legal? Is there a certain output/brightness that is illegal? Looking at getting the 12v 55w ones but have seen 100w ones around , are these considered legal or too bright? Which are the best ones to get? Any disadvantage getting the 12 55w superwhite globes from china at $2 for two as opposed to paying over $20 for "proper" ones in Australia? http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/2pcs-H1-5000K-super-white-12V-100w-HID-XENON-HALOGEN-Headlight-Light-Bulb-Lamp-G-/320926174532?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4ab8b0cd44 or http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/H1-Philips-Crystal-Vision-Halogen-White-Globes-bulbs-/120746611525?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c1d0f1345 Ps: Not talking about which colours are legal , am aware that you arent allowed to have blue lights as parkers or headlights etc... more looking for legality on brightness Cheers
  11. f*ck me...its the same place as where the terminals for the battery are. kill me now. delete thread. * hangs head in shame *
  12. ok so ive ruled out everything else, it has to be in the engine bay.... can anyone point out where the fuse box in the engine bay of an r33 s2 is located please?
  13. Hey Guys Car : 1997 SKYLINE R33 SERIES 2 Where is my headlight fuse? Before you guys say "search its everywhere etc" I have. I've seen this thread that states its in the boot : http://www.skylinesa..._1#entry5187170 Mine isnt in the boot. Here is a pic of my boot fusebox cover , the fuses are set out as per the diagram... Found this but it doesnt include the headlight fuse... Dashboard Fusebox Left Column, top to bottom: Right Column, top to bottom 10A – Rear Wiper 10A – Shift lock 10A – Anti-stop 10A – A/T control 10A – Starter Indicator 10A – Air conditioner 10A – Room lamp 10A – Engine control 10A – Stop lamp 10A – Air bag 10A – Electrics 20A – Blower motor 10A – Engine Control 20A – Blower motor 10A – Hazard lamp 10A – Audio 15A – Fog lamp 15A – Cigarette lighter 10A – Turn signal 20A – Front wiper 10A – Meters 10A – Mirror de-fogger 10A – Electrics 20A – Rear de-fogger also there are a total of 27 fuses under my dash.... this is what the inside cover looks like ...: which translated is this : No mention of headlights... PS: My left headlight and brights work fine , my right headlight and brights don't work at all.Replaced globe...still nothing.this leads me to believe it has to be the fuse. Help!
  14. Man...I love my car. GTS25T's for the win( why does everyone call them gtst's anyway)
  15. Ive loved my r33 skyline(as you can tellfrom my "I love you." thread lol) but Ive heard non turbo r33's are gutless as there is no boost to offset the heavy weight. Standard non turbo gst's do 140kw at the fly( around 98kw at the wheels I think?) pretty dismal... why so much for a non turbo skyline? as above make sure a mech checks out everything before you drop the cash on any car , let alone an import
  16. noooo really? wanted to go the din method , but i have a 60mm gauge which just wont fit there looks like itl have to go on the steering wheel column oh the things i do to keep my car defect free
  17. I've always had a love for cars, I loved my 1987 Supra before this , enough to have a badly paying job yet dedicate my life to pouring all my money and every weekend to it for 2 years even after people told me to give up and scrap it. I pushed on to no avail as my 7MGTE finally let go but... Ive never ever loved a car like this. My 1997 Skyline R33 series 2 stirs emotions inside me that I thought nothing could. The beautiful lines of my r33 , that aggressive stance , those signature hotplate lights...they all send tingles down my spine. The gurgle of the RB , its seamless torque as it pulls all the way to redline , the sound of my engine honestly sends shivers down my spine and gives me literal goosebumps. Nothing sounds like an RB, you can hear it coming a mile away. I've never felt so intensely about a car before , Ive never had so much admiration for the build quality , for the power it seems to have throughout the entire rev range. The ability it has to change direction with the twitch of the steering wheel. How easily the back flips out but just as easyily pulls back in. That additive pull when it comes on boost , the whoose of the bov as it vents. I caress every curve as I wash it every Saturday and sit back and admire it...I didnt know it was possible to have a feeling like this towards an inanimate object. And to think...I havn't even driven a GTR yet!
  18. honestly I dont know why this topic was moved , the legality of boost guage location is common among all cars... This should be a sticky as well unless Ive missed one that was already created. seems like SkylineAU forums are too quiet so mods have far to much time on their hands with nothing to do , moving threads and locking threads for no reason.
  19. this was my first and most preffered option , but I heard anywhere on the dash itself is illegal? can anyone confirm deny this as I would love to mount it just above the glove box facing me.also i have airbags so mounting it there will be sitting directly on top of the airbag unit..which for safety reasons Im sure is illegal. was told this is legal but dont really like the location of this. heard this was a big no no as during a crash it could be dangerous as it will collapse onto your head/face. Is this true or just a rumour Any documents related to where it is legal to install guages? Guys post pics of your current boost guage setup and the legality concerning this( just want to keep everything legal so If i get pulled over I dont stress.)
  20. Hey Guys Would anyone be able to post pics of their LEGAL boost gauge location in an r33?(heard mounting it on the dash isnt legal) cheers brahs
  21. that sounds like a deeper issue the only things that would cause that , that i know off are all the things you've already cleaned & checked. tps , maf , splitfires & plugs... coils and plugs are the number one issue for this.... where are you located? My mechanic Paden from Unique Automotive (in villawood sydney) is a genius and Im willing to bet he can diagnose this by just listening to it.
  22. i know.... upload to mediafire.com you mentioned u installed splitfires and gapped the plugs to .7 previously?
  23. cant see the video upload it on youtube or on www.mediafire.com and give me the link
  24. that blabber sounds like a misfire. are you able to take a video of the rev counter and upload it?
  25. if its a misfire then its almost certainly your coilpacks.Have you replaced them? Gapping plugs to 0.8 and splitfires fixed my misfire problem , revs would drop down with noticeable misfire and jerk at wide open throttle.
