Hi Guys I have a set of Volk Racing Sf Challenge Zero's I would like to swap for wheels that will fit sit flush my r33 skyline s2 gts25t. Sizes are 18 x 9.0 +48 235 tyres 18 x 10 +48 275 tyres (will update full specs shortly) Pics: How they look on my car : Tyres have only done about 1000km , there is some gutter rash on two of the wheels, but overall nothing to bad. Inspections welcome , would prefer to swap for wheels(non chrome) that will sit relatively flush on my skyline once coilovers are fitted as my the 275's on the rear are far to wide and will not fit. As long as its non chrome ,has some dish and will fit a skyline, show me what you got $1500 but swaps preferable

Best Looking Wheels On An R33 Gtst
tripsteady replied to Nick033's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
ok i know this is the wrong section but getting no luck anywhere else - My question is , will these rims fit on my stock r33 skyline series 2. I know I probably need to get the fenders rolled but other then that , will I have issues with fitment for the rear? They are Volk SF Challenge Zero's , old school volk wheel , came out in 97' Front : 18x9.0 +45 235 tyres Rear: 18x10.0 +48 275 tyres cheers -

Newb Question-Will The Optima D34 Fit In An R33 Skyline
tripsteady replied to tripsteady's topic in General Maintenance
i decided i wanted to try an optima because of their reviews of long life and excellent performance. The yellow top apparently is better to power audio systems and I plan to put in a decent setup. The smaller model(the d51) didn't have enough CCA to warrant being the same price as this one. So I went with the higher CCA one, the D34 , will only be able to install on Friday so wanted to know how much trouble Id have fitting this in there. stock battery from r33 skyline series 2 dimensions anyone? -
thanks , yes the 7m usually does let go that way due to incorrect torque settings from factory and what most believe is an improper head design. done properly with a mhg they can make good power with massive amounts of torque down low. thanks , will update with better pics later. yes I do , not really a fan of it as the lines dont flow as well as the rest of the car. too much going on , will replace with something better in the near future. thank you , yes would love to meet up for a cruise , even if im just running a stock rb

Copied from the introduction section , didnt know NSW had their own intro section New to the forums and fairly new to cars. I'm also new to owning a skyline , just purchased an r33 gts25t on Saturday. Owned a ma70 supra for two years , rebuilt the engine , toda r cams, forgies, honed, decked and bored , metal head gasket, basically built the 7mgte for some massive power , hopefully in the vicinity of 350rwkw. After putting the engine back in the problems that come with a 26 year old car started to steer me towards disaster. $15 000 and 2 years later and Im still not at my goal of 350rwkw , just an r154 + standalone to go , but I realised that as I increased the power , the weaker components where starting to break. I needed a reliable daily driver that I could do some spirited driving and the Supra wasnt it. Ive always had a fascination with Skylines, but ever since the r33 gts25t's became so common(most bogans with a rat tail own one) I began to steer away from them for a few years. Once the p plate laws kicked in this "fad" seemed to subside and I saw very few decent looking turbo skylines around. After reaching my wits end with the Supra, I purchased a blue-black Skyline on Saturday and havn't looked back since. 115 k's on the clock , absolutely immaculate , stock as a rock(except for a tip). The way it sits , the sleek lines of the body and the sound of that RB brings me to the verge of insane happiness. Took this at the dealership and parked the car at my parents while waiting for transfer rego and insurance so haven't had a chance to drive it yet ( drove it home in the wet and didn't want to give it to much). I'l take better pics and update this on Friday but wanted to share my enthusiasm with the forum now In order to not be one of those annoying noobs , Ive read the faq's ,the general maintenance section and used the search button as much as I could to answer my inane questions. It took me 30min to find the battery in the car last night , how embarrassing....never knew they where in the boot stock. I'm sure I'l have a thousand other questions but promise to use the search function first before I annoy the more senior ones around here. Mods I plan - full service , flush and replace all fluids - remove crappy rims and replace with Volks from Supra - exhaust & intake - front mount intercooler - coilovers - need to get that "flush" stance - ebc , wideband gauge , turn boost up to just below fuel cut - sub , 6x9's , jvc headunit That should keep me happy for the next 6 months or so This looks like a good community(far less aggressive and tolerant than the supra community) and I look forward to joining it. Thanks for reading Cheers Tripsteady

Hi Guys I have a 1997 Skyline r33 GTS25T Series 2 New to the forum , intro thread found here : http://www.skylinesa...03#entry6385203 Dealer told me the battery was pretty much on its way out when I bought it and after 30min searching(didnt know the damn thing was in the boot!) I found the battery. Tried to start after two days of sititng and just rapid clicking sounds....dead battery I could of gone with what was recommended(NS40ZLX), but wheres the fun in that? Also I wanted something that can handle the extra audio gear I will have inside and want to be confidant that I have enough juice left every time I turn the key - so after pouring through searches relating to batteries, optima and skylines, I eventually purchased an Optima Yellow top d34 for $265 via eGay. http://www.ebay.com....84.m1439.l2649. My question is , what would I have to do to make this fit? I'm already aware that it wont fit as easily as they Optima d51 .I'm also aware that I would have to get bigger terminals as the stock skyline battery has smaller terminals. Is there anything else that needs to be modded? Will it even fit in the space I have? Does anyone know the stock measurements of the skyline battery(car isn't with me atm to measure) Dimensions of Optima Yellow Top D34 : L 254mm X W 175.6mm X H 198.4mm

Would more of the experienced be able to chip in and tell me if wheels with this width and offset is likely to give me a problem.

lol lovely name , i think il fit right int here. supra pulled like nothing else , but just wasnt feasbile to drive around in, once I hit boost the back end flew out and thats with 275's in the rear. Plus most people dont know what an ma70 or a 7m is so getting parts fromt eh states/japan took at least 2 months. Over it and love the part availability for the rb's and sr's
