  1. Hi Since the turbo is being rebuilt , is it okay to get a blown turbo and send it to you to be rebuilt with the standard highflow service for $800 + gst? Cant leave my car of the road to remove turbo so thought this would be the best option
  2. Hi As title suggests, looking to buy Dark Grey Pearl(KN6) side-skirts for an R33
  3. for me it will purely be a sound issue, since I wont be running nearly enough boost to have my stock one suck shut...car is basically stock , just a daily cruiser Scottynm35, pm sent
  4. Well I am aware that a pod that is not shielded and sucking in hot air can lead to a performance decrease , but other then that , the decrease in power from stock box with high flow filter to POD is negligible enough to go with a POD for the sake of how awesome it sounds. Hmm, seems like a bit too much work for a little extra sound
  5. Hmm...good thing I asked. I have a podfilter and will be using those normal pod filter covers from Just jap. How much modification will be needed for the bov/breather hard pipes and what kind of sound difference between this and stock? (trying to ascertain whether its worth the hassle) get a pic up man it should really be mentioned in the performance wise thread that this is not a bolt off bolt on affair. That would make a big difference in deciding whether to purchase from them or not.
  6. Obvious but simple lessons learnt from this thread so far : - replace your fuel pump if you have a stock one. These cars are old now Its not expensive and could cause many more expensive issues down the line if faulty - never ever change main components without following it with a tune - heat will kill this engine , keep it as cool as you can - change your fluids regularly... Yes obvious...but important.
  7. Assumed it would be louder but how much so? Is it worth the ~$200 ? No, run stock bov and will be keeping it that way. No time for the fully hektic flutterz and stalling constantly. Really? They said it was a direct bolt on(from one of the traders here at SAU) - performance-wise
  8. ICE in , fuel pump, tranny cooler, fluid flush and then tune :)

  9. dammit this is getting worse... car shudders on cold start and really struggles to start up...even when holding key in longer. Will get my mechanic to have a look at this , dont really want to clean the tb myself and stated above. Im mechanically retarded so wont be touching any of it. I cringe every time I start every morning and my mechanic can only get to it on the 4th of March
  10. Hi Guys What difference in spooling/bov noise should I expect to hear if I change my normal intake to turbo to a metal one : http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/354157-intake-pipes-and-kits/
  11. Hi All Yes I searched, still cant seem to find a definitive answer, except for this but is ambiguous.... http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/391520-vacuum-hose/ What sizes do I need for 1997 r33 series 2 ? 3mm , 4mm , 5mm or 6mm? edit : Found this http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/233655-vacuum-hose-size-for-a-rb25det/ So, to confirm before I buy , I need 3m of 6mm and 3m of 4mm to replace all vacuum lines in the car?
  12. you seem extremely excited about having a "worked ve ss-v".
  13. agree.... hence my changing tinting my indicators ... I still think my mk3 built 7m supra looked better then my r33...
  14. beautifully done, gorgeous car
  15. thanks man Mods - please update link
  16. cheers. will check upcoming cruise dates
  17. lol Id actually have to disagree..I think the R34 GT-T's look horrid in stock form. while the r33 gts25t's series 2 look okay in stock form. Only the r34 GTR has the presence about it (stock) R32's are lovely but are starting to look a bit outdated in my opinion. A stock r32 gtst looked very bland and the GTR needs to be properly stanced to look good. They do look tough in stock form but not tougher then the 33's or the 34's r33's are just all round great to look at (with the exception being the abomination that was the s1)
  18. Link is in post above yours. @ 1:23 His videos are hilarious...kind of a macabre fascination like watching a train wreck happening. PS: Why do people who speak in middle eastern accents (Lebanese etc) sound like they are ripping you off when trying to sell you something...even though when sometimes they aren't. I have a few Lebanese friends , awesome people , but when they speak it sounds like they are about to rort you for everything you have
  19. Hi All Not really new on the forums but thought Id give this a go. I own an r33 gts25t that Ive owned for about a year now. Just BPU at the moment but installing shift kit and high flow turbo soon. Not really a new user but havnt met up with any members from the forums before. Dont really have any other mates interested in cars as I am and would love to share my passion with those around me. Cringe at the idea of attending a meet and not knowing anyone there. Located in Menai, Sydney but spend a lot of my time around the Sutho , Bexley, Padstow area. PM me if you'd like to catch up, $hoot the shit, have a few drinks/smoke and just explore the car mod scene. Cheers
  20. FYI : 13.4 second 1/4 for your 'stockish' R33. (A how to guide). Project: 12sec Daily Driver R33 GTS-t Are both down
  21. FYI . as far as I know , any gauges above the steering wheel are illegal ( including a pillars etc).- correct me if im wrong, You probably wont be defected for it , but since we drive Skylines it would probably help to not an extra thing to draw the coppers attention.
  22. if you check his youtube videos out he speaks about skylineaustralia forums and how they have a "thing" against him...lol Yeah so do the other forums posting about the dodgyness
  23. a few of us should post on Edward Lee's youtube/facebook page to let people know about their dealings
  24. umm....it costs you money to put the decals on.... its cheaper just leaving them off and doing a performance mod with that cash. or spend it on ya missus whatever, to each their own, just wish you did it to a holden or something.
