The Automatic Thread - Questions
tripsteady replied to tripsteady's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
The toyota ones are rated as much stronger, the Nissan ones did last a fair while but the ones I put in will last the life of the car. Well Id prefer all oil leaks to be fixed before I do any sort of tune. -
People Don't Want To Race Our Skylines.......
tripsteady replied to Goombeh's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
This. Im happy that car modification seemed to be a fad that the majority of douche bags have now let go off. It gives us real enthusiasts the freedom to enjoy our cars. -
What Makes The R33 "ugly" ?

NO. -
lmao ,came in expecting to see tryhard putting on FNF decals possibly with the additions of neons onto a 4x4 height non turbo skyline with disgusting rims. Saw outcome of car after decals are put on. Saw condition of car in peices. Left satisfied.

What Do You Think About This Intake Kit?

Hey Guys What do you think bout this intake kit? http://www.pcpa.com.au/store/nissan-skyline-r32-r33-r34-rb20-rb25-gtst-gtt-turbo-pcp-hks-cold-air-intake-cai-kit.html Does this look like cheap chinese chit? More lag since longer piping? Legality...since pod is exposed through bottom of bumper? Other alternatives for better airflow with pod and standard afm? Cheers

ended up buying this for $139 at supercheap Got my rocker cover gasket kit from kudo motosports (lol all the usual r33 failings have befallen me - coils went - replaced with splitfires , exhaust manifold studs snapped - replaced with uprated toyota ones ....and now my cam covers are leaking....) Also got a walboro gs342 pump from kudo with kit. Going get a service , coolant flush and replace the plugs , should be good enough for Toshi should tune after all of the above is installed. Does anyone know that if i would also need to get the rocker cover washer set as well for $99 as the fix for the usual cam cover leakage that the rb25 suffers? http://www.kudosmotorsports.com/catalog/nissan-cam-rocker-cover-washer-set-genuine-nissan-nissan-skyline-r32-gtr-gts25-gts4-gtst-r33-gts-gts25-gts25t-gts4-r34-gtr-p-627.html -

Cheers. Oustanding questions : - Recommended workshop in Sydney to work on Skyline auto tranny's? - Recommend a transcooler that did the job , good quality and easy installation - What size injectors are usually used/needed with BPU ( fmic, exhaust, high flow turbo, fuel pump). Will there be any issues with tuning if going to large (would 550cc Nismo's suffice?disdvantages going with 1000cc's?) -
Hi So I've searched and cant find a repository of all questions relating to modifying an auto skyline(closest thing is auto performance thread which hardly anyone ever replies to and is mostly about figures and specs) I think it would be helpful for all auto skyline owners to have all their questions answered in one thread... The usual questions : - Can someone post their standard setup in an r33 s2 auto - computer management , injector size , fuel pump type, transmission cooler type , high flow turbo , valve body mods other mods etc. and power output - How much can a decent condition auto box usually handle before it goes boom? - Is a transcooler is all that is needed to ensure longevity for a car running below 250rwkw? - Recommended workshop in Sydney to work on Skyline auto tranny's? - Recommend a transcooler that did the job , good quality and easy installation - What size injectors are usually used/needed with BPU ( fmic, exhaust, high flow turbo, fuel pump). Will there be any issues with tuning if going to large (would 550cc Nismo's suffice?disdvantages going with 1000cc's?) - What computer management can we auto guys use? I know standalone is out of the question , is the eManage adequate? What about the SAFC2? - Am I better of going with an eManage as opposed to getting the ecu tuned my Toshi My Goal is to get a reliable 240rwkw at about 16psi on a high flowed r33 turbo with intake/exhaust, injectors , fuel pump and emanage.

Aren't there disadvantages to getting such a high capacity flowing injector since my desired power level isnt that high as well. 1000 seems a bit excessive? Yes ive researched and only heard good things about GCG turbo high flows. Have you heard otherwise? Would I really need such a big capacity pump - looking at the usual Walbro GSS-342 (255lph) I don't ever plan on doing more then 230rwkw..if that) What kind of transmission cooler is the easiest to fit but will be sufficient to keep the tranny living as long as possible at 230rwkw? ( ive seen craig davies ones , but not sure if they suit my purpose) -

hi I've got the following mods and am sitting at about 150rwkw : 1997 Skyline R33 GTS25T AUTO Straight through 3'inch from turbo back Pod filter Blitz turnflow cooler HDI Boost controller stock turbo Splitfire coilpacks I'm planning to install a tranny cooler and hi flow the stock turbo at gcg. Other then a fuel pump and injectors, what else would I need to do about 230rwkw? What size injectors would I need? Reccommended brand ? (Saw the Nismo 550c but they are nearly a grand and am only chasing 230rwkw or so and dont want to invest that much in injectors) Thanks in advance CHeers -

Estimate My Power In Rwkw - R33
tripsteady replied to tripsteady's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Oh, only 170rwkw @ about 12psi with tune? Toshi mentioned 200-220 rwkw max after ecu replacement, fuel pump and tune and also said it would not be wise to go above that , even with a high flow turbo as the auto box will not be able to handle it (it is also my daily driver , so not looking for a "dyno queen" or anything , just a responsive cruiser). Did not think the auto skyline was capable of netting 240 to 250rwkw -
Sorry to ressurect an old thread, but I'm getting my r33 done on the 21st of Dec - full sound system install + sound deadening. Have heard great things about Carbon and always seem them at Unique Automotive (yup Paden is a fricken genuis). Can't wait to check their quality of work Will report back after it's done.

Hi Guys I'm getting a tune with Toshi shortly(replace ecu , dyno & road test) and installing a high flow turbo and transmission cooler so I can up the boost and push around 200rwkw As it stands however this is my setup , just BPU 1997 Skyline R33 GTS25T AUTO Straight through 3'inch from turbo back Pod filter Blitz turnflow cooler HDI Boost controller stock turbo (running at 12psi) Splitfire coilpacks Automatic box What do you reckon I'm doing now at the wheels? (150 -160 rwkw?) Ps: Just asking for a power figure, please keep the "put it on a dyno , skylines autos are slow etc... to yourself Cheers

tripsteady replied to Goombeh's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
This. Not many will line up against the GTR (unless you have the obligatory rx7, sti , evo etc) but P platers go wild when they see a GTS25T , even more so if you're lowered and have a cooler hanging off the front. It is also pleasurable to show them the GTS25T's aren't slouches either -
Hi Guys Whats the mounting depth of the front doors in an r33 series 2? ( whats the deepest splits I can fit in there?) Suggestions?

Annoying Ticking Sound - Please Help
tripsteady replied to tripsteady's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Yes tyres plus Menai - dont like to bash shops but when i went there the first , they backed my exhaust onto the lift , causing the boss to start screaming at his apprentice and punching some tyres laying around - while im sitting in the car hopping my exhaust is okay, The second time I went there, they did an alignment, car was still pulling to the left horribly , and took over 45 min to do it. Just felt like they didn't want me there , didn't like the arrogance....but was okay with that since i assumed the work was top notch, Apparently it isn't.. Oh well ,that's what I get for taking my car anywhere other then Unique Automotive. -

Also this doesnt occur when the car is cold , it only happens after driving for over 15min.
