  1. cant remember brand of rim , not brand name - also has no centre cap lol thanks for the suggestions guys , im going to have to take it to a suspension shop and see what the hell this is.
  2. oh ok, cool well its been done thousands of times , have a search and you will come up with tons of info
  3. good idea removed guard liners
  4. You seem to have a long way to go before you can attempt the conversion. Are you buying an RB25DET to put in? Why not just sell the non turbo and by a turbo R34? Much more reliable and usually cheaper this way as well. Unless you are getting all the parts for free, why anyone would want to convert a non turbo car into a turbo when the turbo variant already exists from factory is beyond me.
  5. Hi Guys Can you recommend a reputable shop that will be able to adjust the camber of my front wheels and take a quick look over to make sure all is okay? I am located in Menai, Sydney 2234
  6. no screw or nail in tyre - tyres look fine
  7. Hi guys 1997 Nissan Skyline R33 S2 Im getting a ticking sound that seems to come from the front right wheel - alignment done - tie rod ends replaced - suspension check - all good , nothing loose except for front right wheel having slightly to much camber - jacked car up, span wheel - no noise - nothing in way - rechecked if any cords or anything else in way , all tucked away perfectly. - doesn't happen when turning - no difference when breaking - no difference whether accelerating/decelerating - noticable from 20km.h to 80km/h - after that sound stops - car drives fine , steers fine etc.. This is driving me crazy, any suggestions? Could it be cv joints , bearings , stone caught in caliper etc? Anyone been through this before after checking what was listed above?
  8. lmao.. yeah man , its quite a job... find someone that knows what they are doing
  9. Hi Guys So my car just came back from a service , and now my auto window up doesnt work. The windows work fine using the normal buttons , but when I used to lock my alarm before the windows would go up automatically. This doesnt happen anymore. I saw posts regarding relays, motors etc but this is only if the window doesnt work when the button is pressed. This leads me to believe it may be an alarm issue. Alarm locks and unlocks fine otherwise. Dont know the make of my alarm , remote just has one big grey button one small green one. Grey button both unlock and locks , dont know what small green button is for. Anything I can look for, any fuses that could be blown preventing windows from going up automatically when car is locked?
  10. heres the link http://www.gtr.co.uk/forum/151359-crazy-rev-counter-fixed-guide.html Yes i thought auto elec , but i mean for those looking to make a quick buck , this would be a service worthwhile starting
  11. Okay So Im sure we've all had this common failure - rev counter going spastic. Ive seen the threads on skyline uk for the fix , seen other threads etc and like most others am not comfortable soldering A skyline enthusiast should create a service where he fixes dodgy rev counters on skylines for a fair amount OR does this already exist. If so..where?
  12. cheers, getting Paden from Unique Automotive to do this. He has to call someone in to remove the studs. Its a bgi job apparently $$$$$$$
  13. lol, im sure I would of noticed the massive decrease in torque
  14. ok , from this i got that - studs dont snap anymore often then any other 16yr old turbo car. screw it , im getting uprated studs so i can sleep at night and never have to worry about this again. do it once , do it right.
  15. pretty sure its the exhaust manifold studs that have snapped - my car sounds like a tractor now
  16. Do the studs in the rb25 snap due to the 15yr age of them, or are they prone to snapping even when replaced because they are simply weak( trying to ascertain as to whether it's worth forking out the extra $60 for Toyota studs). Only modest power, about 190kw at the wheels nothing to extreme, running 10psi
  17. not sure if i want to get normal bolts kudo motorsports have replied with this: "1) Studs and nuts - $118.80 + $14.30 postage 2) Studs, nuts & new genuine Nissan washers/yokes - $184.80 *Postage on either would be $14.30. With option 1 you'd simply have to reuse your current washers and yokes, of which there are 24. The offered items are actually genuine Toyota units and are far superior to the items used by Nissan." Is it worth forking out the extra dough?
  18. Hi guys So it seems the common issue of the exhaust manifold studs snapping have finally befallen my rb25 Since this is a common issue , Id imagine that it would be fairly easy to get uprated ones. Where can I get better exhaust manifold studs , or would the proper nissan ones suffice? How much should I expect to pay for them? Thanks in advance Cheers
  19. possibly.ive also noticed i can really hear the exhaust from the engine(like a motorcycle ).definitely something going on there padens having a look on the 26th.will stay of boost until then
  20. il add that im running an hdi electronic boost controller.. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/HDI-Super-Electronic-Boost-Controller-EVO-free-shipping-2012-/160703667351?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item256aaf5c97 which hasnt worked for about 6 weeks(gauge only goes up to 1psi when it clearly is boosting more then that.my controller does nothing either ...turning the knobs neither increase nor decrease boost.
