    Dyno Day Wrap Up

    I came down very early then had to leave First run of the day, my mates HR31 pulled 130rwkw with a Redtop NICS, RB25 turbo @ 10psi I went on second, made 180rwkw, all going through a big fat auto. Silvertop ECCS, GT2871r @ 16psi...AFR's up the creek Thumbs up to the workshop and Nige who seem like good blokes. I will be definitely going back there to get my SAFC tuned.
  2. Well what an awesome day and a good turnout! Some quick cars as well which is always good to watch. Good to have a chance to meet a few of you. Despite not posting a good overall time (RB20 + Auto = no 60ft party), I was pretty happy with 108mph at the end trap.

If you have the right size normal socket (I think its 22?) and somesort of ratchet spanner or shifter you can do it without the tool Grab a hammer and chisel and knock the bulk of the sensor right off. Snap the socket over the top which will now fit and take it off. fit the new one on and you should be able to get it tight enough with a spanner (although you might have to play around with it coz its very tight in there). You wont be able to get it super tight without the proper 02 sensor tool but you should be able to get it tight enough without it, and anyway then the next 40,000kms it wont be so hard to take off again Anth

  7. Hey guys, Up for sale is my RB25 turbo that I had on my RB20. Reco'd 25000 k's ago, its in kick ass condition....I reckon you would be hard pressed to find a 2nd hand RB25 turbo like this.     I've known rob since I was an ankle biter, recently he did a silvertop conversion into my HR31 (everything except wiring)........no problems at all, he also does some great custom exhaust work.

Located in S.E Vic ISL33P, PM me if interested Also have a WOLF 3d version 4 Plus I purchased it brand new 3 months ago, but never installed it because I ended up doing an engine conversion which had better management. The only things that are different when comparing this unit to one off the shelf are: *Slight tear on outer box *Injector wires have been shortened by about 1ft (easy fix to extend them) *Dirty workshop fingermarks on inner box And thats it! Everything else is BRAND NEW. The unit has NEVER been powered on, all accessories and cables are in their original plastic. Comes with absolutely everything you need, manuals (usually purchased separately at an additional price) ECU, loom, accessories, data cable, disks etc, but no hand controller is included (a laptop does the tuning for you). $1200 ono

  16. Got a set of 15" rims for sale, they are white 5 spoke made by CSA, all have centre caps except on one of them the badge is different. I havent investigated if the badge can be changed, but you may be able to find a replacement at a wrecker if it bothers you that much! No dramas fitting to a R31 (4 stud). Includes good rubber, SIME 225's on the rear (20% worn) 205's on the front (50% worn) Looking for $300 ono Apexi SAFC, Blue screen Generation 2 with round dial.   19. I live not very far frm that area, they have done the same setup in the past. Last year when they did one I think they got 25 drivers over the limit, 6 expired rego's, and one stolen vehicle.........so they would haul it in. And your right, there is no way out, your screwed which ever way you go.
  20. Like it has been said, The oz released R31 all came with an RB30E, about 114KW The import HR31's came in RB20 Turbo and non turbo variants. The DET pushes out about 140KW+, while then N/A only does somewhere between 100KW - 110KW. 5K will probably get you an N/A import R31, coupe or sedan, but these are gutless as hell, no top end and no torque. You'd better off buying an N/A local R31, and save up money and mod that, or maybe do a VLT setup yourself. You will be hard pressed to find a turbocharged import or local for 5K. Either fork out the cash for one already setup, or buy a stocko and DIY. The other thing to think about is how you are going to maintain it? While 5K might get you an import, it will be barely there on the mechanical side, even still if you buy something else, theres rego and insurance to think about also, not to mention fuel costs.
