Gccg are fitting the TO4Z 63trim comp wheel into the GT3582r and are calling it a GT3566r , I guess this is mainly for the XR6 ford turbo engines as a up grade , But i was wondering if this turbo would be a good compromise between the Gt35r and the TO4z in giving the best of both worlds in both turbos , Garrett has just released the GTX3582r turbo so that also looks to be a option , closer to a TO4Z.

  3. i found Wolfs new software for the V4 , PLUS / V400 a lot easier to tune . Also looking at some of people maps who have tuned these Ecus , they never use the The fuel modifiers features like battery and Air temp compensation , if you set up these compensation scales correctlly before you Tune it your afrs are going to a lot more stable under the changing condtions , The more features you use correctly on the set up the finer your tune will be , with out trying to mask them with a rich or lean mixture in the your main map and not use the fuel modifiers .
  4. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- From what i can see happening is that the Air fuel ratio leans out with warmer fuel temps , After having engine running below 2000rpm for over a hour due to tuning , Iam finding the AFR`s are going leaner with water , air temps and battery voltage battery stable , When i felt the fuel tank temp ,its warm aprox 40 to 50 deg`s in temp , Iam using a external surge pot with the fuel return going back to the surge tank so that dosent help with the fuel temp increase and at idle your getting more warm fuel returned to the surge tank , So after having a think a the problem , I feel my 1st step is to try some ice around the surge tank , not to fix the problem , but to confirm the problem , then if this is postive step , i will try putting the return line back to the fuel tank , The other thing i was thinking is, new cars are now putting the fuel pressure regulators on the fuel filter outlets which are not in the engine bay , So you dont have a return line from your injector rail , this means returned fuel from the regulator isnt going to be as hot , i have only seen this system on Na engines , but can see why it wouldn`t work on a forced induction ,if the regulator is correct. So has any one got any thoughts on the problem , Btw the car is a race car with only a 20 ltr fuel tank and using a vl turbo fuel pump ,its not a RB engine I guess under normally running conditons its no going to be as bad , its just that iam running the engine to long around idle when iam tuning things , But if improve things all the better

  8. Would be interesting to see how much KW you pick up with a larger exhaust dump pipe from the turbo , any one know if they run the larger VG30 ex housing on the rb25engine for the Siding turbo up grade ? Looks good should be happy with $$ you spent on the turbo

I have used an Innovate box ... Mike, The "much faster and more accurate" statement applies to the LM-1 vs most other wideband units EXCEPT the Tech Edge WBo2 range ... Just so we could speak from an informed position, we "bit the bullet" and finally got an LM-1 in November. We haven't actually had a lot of time to look at it, but I'll make some general observations about wideband meters first. We HAVE seen "other" wideband products using LSU sensors and NTK sensors. I hesitate to mention names (only from a legal perspective, but I have made some comments that are in this list's archives). Some of these wideband products, although nicely packaged and presented, are absolute and total rubbish. The LM-1 is NOT rubbish and it does work pretty much as advertised. It's packaged reasonably well, though people say it's a bit large. Klaus is pricing it aggressively and it seems to be selling well with all the advertising he pays for. At the moment Tech Edge has taken a low key approach to selling and has relied on word of mouth advertising. Now for some comparisons with our unit - as we have a few different models now, I'll mention the aspects that are common to all our rev 2 WBo2 units: 1. LM-1 uses a 10 bit DAC for it's linear output, Tech Edge use a 12 bit DAC. This is 4 times the resolution. Interestingly, both the LM1 and 2B0 use the Atmel AVR processor (Mega16). 2. LM-1 does not use the calibration resistor that comes with every LSU sensor - therefore it MUST be calibrated each time a sensor is swapped. Tech Edge correctly uses the calibration component in the LSU sensors, and changing sensors (of the same type) does not require free-air calibration to maintain a fairly good accuracy. 3. LM-1's in-built AFR display is hard to read. 4. Tech Edge has always had extra logging capability built into the base unit. 5. Having a big calibrate button on the LM-1 invites people to free-calibrate - this can result in inaccuracies unless the sensor really is in free-air. And, there are some things that the LM-1 does quite well. It has a larger internal (on-board) logging memory, and it has the integrated display which is handy for showing error messages. It's also field upgradeable like our unit. In operation it has an aggressive heater control algorithm and it provide a %o2 reading which we've never thought was much use until last week when a potentially large industrial user asked us to provide a linear %o2 output mapping for WBlin (I will be providing this facility very soon via the next rev of the CONF program). Lastly, there are some "big" brand name wideband products that have been around for quite a while (no need to mention names). I think some of them, although they work reasonably well, are not good value for money, and it would be good for someone, with the facilities, to do some revealing back-to-back testing (no point asking me to do it - who'd believe me ;-). Just for the record, we have a couple of ETAS LA-4 units we use for comparison against our own units. Summing up ... > Does anyone have good information on 2B0 vs LM-1 in terms of performance? We have come up with some recent improvements that will result in some new products and improvements to the existing range.   13. Just wanting to have a look at wolf v4 map thats been finely tuned ,, just wanting to see How the fuel map Modifiers have been step up , so i t dosent matter what engine ,, But if your engine has 550cc injectors ,it might be some help ,,, Thanks Cameron :>)

  15. one of those no name brand turbos ,,your better of spending the extra money on a turbo that bolts on without mods .. it will be cheaper in the long run ,,
  16. i have Twincharged a 4agze with a system i made up .. the Secret is in the Turbo to making it work . i love the system due to the wide fat torque band ,, you can make more Hp with just a turbo , but you dont get the broad torque band . power band is more like a v8 engine with instant torque on tap .. ,, here is a web site on a subaru systemhttp://www.forcedairtech.com/

Thats Excellent info ,,, i also studied the Pic and thought some thing didnt add up on what they wrote ,, What you have said about the wheel trims makes sense as that is why they made it work with the larger exhaust housing ... I thought i might have a Been a V trim as i also read the about the SINGLE turbo up grade on the RX7 engine .. and found that Horse POWER in a BOX was selling a HI FLOW Turbo Rx7 ..which i guessed Might have come from ATS ,, They Said the RX7 turbo used a V trim wheel which was very responsive .. .. ATS also have another COMPRESSOR wheel combo with the RX7 turbo made for 1.8 and 2ltr 4cylinder engines which iam yet to find out some info ,, but i am guessing its a small to4 E trim wheel .. but they used a .58 A/r on the exhaust side .. which seems rare to me ..it was a t3 pattern ,, I thought that might a been a Mazda 12a turbo EX housing..
  19. It used the turbine from a series V RX7 and a -24 or 25 T04B compressor Disco potato .. How did you find out what compressor wheel ATS used ? I remember Reading of this Turbo years Back now in Zoom .. I always wondered what the spec of the COMPRESSOR wheel was .. WHEN you say 24 or 25 ,What do you mean as i havent seen a map on that wheel from memory ..Have you got any info on that map ? I made up a turbo using the same specs but used a Different compressor wheel due to it going on a 4 cylinder engine ,, but i used the RX7 core with the RB25 intake and exhaust housings .. I did try a Vg30 EX housing but it was to big for a 4 cylinder ..

  21. The Turbo bearings also felt rough before i disassembled the turbo ..
