  1. Don't so worried about that...As long as the body is all in good nick is my main concern. I intend to keep the car indifintely. I'd perfer to spend money on a good auto daily driver, and at the same time have a classic in the garage...which is what the r32 is. I've thought about a plan for the R32 (must be silver) if I decide on that. Silver with a little red splashed around (like red silicon/strut braces etc etc.)
  2. GTR into GTs-t don't work at all. depending on how hard your modded up, a good mild swap is 440cc's off a 200sx or even better 480cc off a JDM Silvia or I think GTi-R. I'm pretty sure their a straight fit.
  3. I don't know. Modern Cars seem to feel a little lifeless to me (Note:I have not driven a R34GTR..Morgs, Comments please...). I know on my bosses new SS Commodore, it was like a video game, turn the wheel and you get little or no feed back, all the sense of component movement was basically gone. Where as in the GTS-t I still get a sense of feedback from the steering wheel. I agree the R33's are getting wayyyyy too common, esp GTR badged ones. I think a nice clean cared after GTR with some nice mild mods is the go!
  4. Morgs...as always wise......I've always wanted the GTR....but i did have a GTT stage/EVO stage/ etc etc etc...... wait a second....... I see a round-da-bout coming up..........
  5. All points valid... But for the intended use I think the GTR is the wiser choice. I've got a second car so if it kills it self its a matter of parking it up in the garage and waiting for the repairs to be complete. Alot of people off the forum have "almost" convinced me that if I was to buy a GTT I might as well use the money on my GTS-t...as the desired result would be improved with the money spendt over purchase and modding a GTT. Of course the body shape of the GTT is much better, agreed...but again...who cares what the car looks like on a race track, or driving through some twisty stuff !!! Plus....with the R32...I can boste that THIS is the car that was banned from Bathurst...hehehehe
  6. I used to be hung up on the kay thing. But I think thats more a state of mind then a dead car. I know all (or most) of the power facts and figures of both. I'm just after opinons here. Hopefully someone might of had the same decision to make and could share expirences.
  7. R34GTT Vs R32GTR (The R33 is starting to look a little dull...) R34GTT or R32GTR...both are hoving around the $35 000.00 mark for a fairly good example... Considaring Age/Km's/Performance/Handling etc etc what would be the better option ? "Undecided"
  8. Okay. Is this the road to Singleton ? If it is...how do you manage that on one tank ??? Its like 160km's each way. I did the road Solo on Sunday arvo and I can persoanlly vouch for it...It would have to the most awsome piece of road I have ever driven on...nice long straights and super twisty stuff (kind of like a freeway with 3 or 4 Nasho parks join at intervals! It's very very fast, the cars will be able to run clean out there. But make sure your tank is full, esp if you tend to high rev in the twisty parts. Probably not a good night course as there was alot of road kill around, and a kangeroo hit at high speed is going to hurt the car alot. I didn't see any cops around at all, but i would assume they patrol it heavily. It's very easy to lose control and get into the high 100's without too much thought, so more expirenced driver should go first. This is one cruise which would need a strict protocol..For safety reasons I think we need to get someone to lead straight off and dictate the pace, and everyone to be orderly....If your wanting to go flat out, go another time by yourself solo..you'll enjoy it alot more...speeding on a cruise is just showing off..in my opinon. Things I would suggest : Check your brakes/fluid or upgrade to non-fade pads. Check tyres Bring water Be good if someone could bring a CB, just in case. check your car...its going to kill if you need a tow. Theres a halfway point service station/food place which would be a mantory stop...it has PULP (phhheewwwwww!!!!...almost had to cruise slowly back..) too...which was good!!! Remember we won't be the only people out there when it happens....please! please! - if you want to take racing lines, do it at the track. I saw alot of 4WD's and bikers so use caution to both. Have fun......Sorry if I sounded like a tool, but I can see the excitment in this road, and that can lead to hellva lot of danger for Schmie wannabe's I think most importantly, if you enjoy flatout driving, learn the road on the cruise and go out late on a weekday night BY YOURSELF or just one more car.....just watch out for the wildlife. ANDREW
  9. I'll back that up 110%. They look so much more impressive in the flesh - And heaps more attractive out of that ****ty organge gold colour. They danced around the power figure thou. Looking at the engine bay, there isn't much room in there for a snail... Be interesting to see the 350Z Vs RX8 comparo, on street in real life I mean.... Engine shot below.
  10. Last One...
  11. Another One...
  12. Another Picture..
  13. Saluations All. On the way home from Eastern Creek I saw this a Cullens Nissan at Five Dock. Only one in Australia, Here to Race at Bathurst and its going to be worth something between $65-80 000.00 (uummm, eerr...I think I'll still take the GTR...)
  14. Saluations All. Is there any differences in the RB26DETT which came in the R32/R33/R34 GTR ? I think I've heard that the R34 version had some improvements in Valve Timing ? And will a R34 RB26DETT be a straight bolt up fit to a R32 GTR shell ? Thanks. ANDREW San Itchie!
  15. Okay. Firstly, I'm on a Rating 4 (Never had full comprehensive insurance before...). Live in Western Sydney...So a Skyline is pretty expensive to insure. VERY EXPENSIVE But...I've had to claim throught Suncorp Metway for a not at fault accident worth about $8k damage. I have to say they where excellent about it, I made two phone calls in order to have my car fully fixed. Even had the assesor ring me up and explain the process and availability of parts. Didn't affect my policy at all, no increases in amounts nothing...actually had the amount drop since the policy was taken out due to a slightly better protection for the car. If this is the service they provide, then I think its worth the extra cash if you can afford it. Expensive, but I'd perfer piece of mind.
  16. TAFE won't finish for 3 years! I'm SURE someone must know what I'm on about...hehehe
  17. 2.0 = yeah so. 2.5 = yeah lets go... Still wondering... Bring it on.
  18. I don't get the big start thing. If I launch harder then 4000 I'll sit still and spin the rear wheels. 4000 gets one or two skips before it grips and goes...
  19. Hype. There is no point in this matey. There is no way in the whole wide world that someone will be able to explain a shift techinque over the forum. You got to either get someone who knows what their doing to teach you or even better, take a course with a professional. Its also something that comes from screwing up a few times (aka personal expirence). You'll be alot quicker and take care of the car a hell lot more if you do too.
  20. LOL... Who's black S14 was that anyways...looked good.
  21. How sad is the singing film clips inbetween the episodes... PS..Ryan. Your Avatars are getting worse all the time.....
  22. http://board.performanceforums.com/forums/...light=initial+d check this out.
  23. I've seen about half the whole collection and got Series 2 The Battle Stage is pretty cool, a collection of all the races. Series 1 is a long haul! and many many glasses of coke. Did you see the performance forums thread with the photos of the corners ?
  24. Eighty Six! ! ! The thing that really cracks me up is the sugar daddy in that series, Mogi's "older" man LOL! Have you got the set ? I've got a mate going over to Japan in a while, his made a good friend over there who will be taking him to the Mountain Passes and some races, they still happen! and are pretty huge over there. Think about this...A s15 club over there has over 1000 members!!! Just think about that for a cruise!
  25. I don't know if the r32's are the same....but a very quick and cheap way is to dissconnect the HICAS plug at the diff. You will get the dash board warning light thou... takes about 30 seconds. this was on a r33
