The OP is getting colder, you do it late enough and the road gets that damp feel about it... Cool when you expect it and can drift with it. Its going to take one death on the OP or Nasho run and we all might as well put the cars away for a long time. you guys are lucky there wasn't any bikers or oncoming at the time of the spins.

Are we all just going to give up that easy ? Sell the car ?
-
Listen, There's heaps more people on these forums who know a ****load more then I. But I'll give it ago. And I have Noooo problem being corrected by someone who knows better. The 900rpm Idle should be fine, I think there suupose to idle between 700-900rpm, mine idles at 900 all the time with no problems at all. The stalling could be a number of things, but since this is a post about BOV's, I'd check all the lines on the BOV and make sure the piston is releasing at a correct pressure...If the spring is rooted which holds the piston closed under boost is weaken it could leak and stall the same way as a Atmo one does. If the AFM is suspected its something for an expert, as it could cuase the car to run ultra rich or super lean, the later being the worse, as lean equals an expanding piston and an expanding piston can really screw your day up. That could be going to extremes there.... As for the lumpiness of the RB20DET, not sure, I'm got the RB25DET and the few mechanics I know have always commented how smooth the Nissan Engines are. I'd check all your spark plugs, ignition, and AFM if shes rough.

When I had the cash money for my car I was flipping up for either a GTS-t or GTi-R. The skyline won by a hair. I'd admit that the Skyline won alot due to looks, as I got turned off the GTi-R everytime I saw the rear end of it... Does anyone know of anyone who makes a body kit for these things ? NOT over the top. Just like side skirts and maybe a slighly revised rear bar ? Some parts from the N14 Pulsar do fit...."SOME" An early HPI had a review on one of them...Interesting. There ARE too many R33 Taxi's doing the rounds these days...

Its a very common problem with Atmo B.O.V's When the inducted air is taken in the Air Flow Meter reads the amount and adjusts the fuel delivery to suit that amount of air. The BOV releases the same air that the air flow meter "thinks" has been mixed with the fuel. So basically the computer injects the fuel but the air has vented out of the BOV, which causes the engine to "run rich". When the mix isn't right and its too rich the engine stalls. Like the factory unit, a "plumb-back BOV" recirculates the air back into the system, thus equalizing the air/fuel ratios again. Apart from the sound there is no clear advantge that i know about from having a Atmo BOV. Probably disadvantge.

Tottally on the mark, its designed with the belt to give strength and mainly to stop puntures....of course they can't stop nails.

the carcass is a cavans type material, probably canvass which nthe rubber is attached to. I'm using my knowledge of kart tyres here...they don't have steel belts, i think the steel belt is either in the rubber or wound into the canvass....
-
Yo George Deliminating is when the rubber starts to pull away from the carcass. Andrew Falken Ziex's on mine, on standard rims....Very happy with the grip, I can't wait till I get 17's thou......Might try some new rubber, whats Falkens high line tyre called ? GRB ? What are they like ? Andrew

Can anyone recommend a professional Buffer or good touch up spraypainter ? Note : Remember to remove unused timber from the back of sheds...it doesn't do any good for reversing cars. So f#@king careless of me.

Okay... To satisfy my curiousity, how hard can you boost teh stock VG30 Turbo ? Does it still have the ceramic wheel as the Hihatchi Turbo in the RB25 ??? The 1 800.00 was for the standard turbo to have its oil galleries modified, T04 front housing and upgrade to steel wheel and high grade bearings. Thanks
-
Oh okay. I wasn't after a massive power gain, as my plans are only for a full exhaust system, SAFC, Fuel pump, fuel regulatoir and a intercooler. Just thinking if the VG30 could make things a little more interesting...esp at $450 vs $1800 for a hybird/hiflow option) just though if you can get a resonable gain from the VG30 Turbo it might be worth while and still get it all done for around the 5200-5500 mark...(note...labour is free, bar dyno tuning) Thanks ANDREW

Is the VG30 turbo a bolt on option to the Std. R33GTS-t ?

How many Kays is too much on a Skyline ? In general ..... Is it worth modding a Skyline with 110kays ? Emotional attachment is a bitch.

I'd like to see Sid dump the clutch...hehehe
-
Yeah...Akuna Bay was a lot rougher then I remembered it! Not good. Avoca Beach...No idea what made us end up there! God Dam Alarms!!! Good Run thou. Trouble free cruising...Old Road was real fun that night. Got new clutch...looking forward to regaining some lost power!
-
Saluations All. This maybe obvious to some, and others may pretend to know. But I've just picked up a new clutch. it appears to of the brass (? brass) button (the plate has five separate fingers with pads on each) type. I've been told it'll hold onto 200RwKw easily (I'm no where near that). But I've also bveen told that if you don't know what your doing you can wear a button clutch out in a very very very very very very short time if you ride it - which of course is bad in any clutch. I'm just interested how I'll have to adjust my driving style with this clutch, will I wear the clutch out if you ease off the lights, does it have to be rev and dump at every lights to protect the clutch ? I don't ride the clutch at all unless I'm parking or doing general driving to work (rarely) and need to ease of the light...Will I wear the clutch out quickly from just this ? I take it, it will be a new expirence in the wet too! PS. Its a R33GTS-t and the clutch was from a southern import jap shop. Thanks any ifo/comments would help. ps...why is a five finger clutch stronger then a full face ? I thought the more area of contact the stronger clamping you'd get. Andrew

Does anyone have the number for Hills Motorsport at Castle Hill ? Thanks ANDREW
