  1. LOL .. yes wasn't that a pain in the ass of a job. George (aps) & Chris rodgers eventually helped me sort it out much to their credit. I think Chris came down with a transponder bypass unit to get past the ER34 built in immobiliser, didn't you chris?
  2. Hi Sean, I know at least on the CA18DE that the warning lights come on when your engine misfires from a coil. Not sure about the RB motor though - is it running really rough when the lights come on? Is it just on idle or when you apply throttle? One way to check, providing it does it on idle, is removing the ornament cover and looking for stray sparks under the coils. If it's doing it on higher rpm's, then you'll probably need a spare coil and replace them one at a time. Best thing to do from time to time, even if you don't have any coil problems, is to remove the coilpack, clean up the tips for any carbon deposits, then silicone spray the inside of the boot and the coil body. Hope this helps. Cheers Howie
  3. If you still can't find any blown fuses under the dash, take the h/u out - and run a testing light over the power & ign wires. If you're seeing power, it could be a blown deck.. but i say your chances of that are pretty low. Also check if your deck has an internal fuse. edit: just read your updated post. Your 12volt power should always be fused - obviously because it's a live wire. let us know how you get on buddy. cheers.
  4. Does your headunit power up? That'd be the first place to start as it's the source. If not, check the acc/ign fuses under the dash. And if there is a fuse on the direct power line (usually yellow line) check that.. you may have to pull the deck out. If the h/u does power up, check that the remote wire is working. On the amp end, check with a testing light to see the remote wire comes on when the headunit powers up. If that does come on, and you're seeing battery power to the amp. Then see if the internal fuse on the amp is busted. If it is replace, if it ain't then you could have a dead amp. Conversely, if the amp powers up, recheck the speaker leads.
  5. Don't get the dump... get a dump/split in one pipe, they perform alot better by further seperating the wastegate gases. I ended up getting the batmbl one, and it was a reasonably good fit.
  6. This Trust FMIC kit for the R34 looks rather promising guys. http://www.uniqueautosports.com/pricelists...ylineturbos.htm no word on pricing there though.
  7. Awesome stuff West! Keep up the great work.
  8. Autobarn do the Trust PE2... got mine for around 660 i think with the 20% sale.
  9. Markyboy, not sure if you read the Telegraph over there. But Adelaide's made it into the Top 10 Destinations for 2007. Have a read of the comments on the SA website. http://www.sensational-adelaide.com/forum/...php?p=7648#7648 A few ex-britons there.
  10. Yep mine's exactly the same one bud. No that was always like that. I understand it's a common problem with the r34 nismo exhaust, to rectify you just spray wd40 and bang at it with a rubber hammer - i did that and it fixed it up for a while. No worries at all buddy.
  11. That's brilliant. Show us some pics of the piping when you get a chance, i'll be most interested in seeing.
  12. Nice work 666DAN.. whereabouts did you go to get the piping done?
  13. Got pics of your blitz cooler bud?
  14. Using a Blitz DSBC Spec-R Cons: Took me a while to work the controls, and the display is not that easy to read if you mount it too far from you. Would be great if there was a remote switch for scramble boost. Pros: Works very well, 4 different settings and a scramble boost. Plus the usual readouts like boost, peak boost etc.
  15. hahah... nice work with the pram and shopping. We love the boot space of the skyline, it's heaps better than my last car. I've moved out my spare tyre and have a fiberglass sub box sitting in the wheel well, that way i can sorta do stuff like that.
  16. Oh sorry i didn't realise , it looked like standard radio plug to me. I can ask around i don't know off the top off my head.
  17. Hi Markyboy, To say full of boy racers is a gross exaggeration, although we do get the occasional commodore hoons, having been around australia I would say it's no more or less than any capital city. As for not a great place to be in Australia, these are outdated stereotypes from the late 80's/90's when Adelaide was in comatose state from being in a decade long recession. Thankfully the city is really picking up the pace - along with job opportunities and developments (see www.sensational-adelaide.com for some great info). Most of the eastern suburbs are good, the western suburbs by the coast are great too (anywhere between Glenelg and Semaphore). Actually all bar a few suburbs (already named in this thread) in Adelaide are quite acceptable. Good luck with it all mate, Howie
  18. You might have to make an extension cable to suit. The parts you need are coaxial cable, and RG62 (auto am/fm) connectors assuming you want to go to a standard radio plug.
  19. Some info on the show http://www.southernstargroup.com/NewsDetails.aspx?niid=1544
  20. LOL... nice one. I've already told my missus, the 34's going to be our family car and that we don't need that 4wd. I'll be sure to show her this pic. hehe
  21. oo.. how muchie if you don't mind me asking shnaped_second?
  22. Same as above.. i got the 10 dollar job from autobarn. Blue/white tinge. I'm not entirely happy with them, and i'm thinking of the getting the wide-spread japanese led's off ebay.
  23. Hey yo-yo. Yep i've got the nismo muffler with the silencer as well. Mine's seized onto wide open (thankfully). It's restrictive but not as bad as you would imagine. I did the front/split pipe and left the original nismo cat-back and there was still quite a bit of flow, with a bit more of a gruntier note to it. The stock front pipe is where it gets really choked up. Anyhow, i'm going to a Trust PEII shortly. Btw, leave the wiring for the silencer there, and perhaps you can use it with something like an apexi control valve later on.
  24. - R34 GTR wheels will fit R34 GTT with minimal scrubbing. And will not falsely trigger the slip light. - R34 GTT wheels will not fit R32 GTS-T without a spacer. - S15 side indicator lights will fit R34. - S15 blank key is suitable for R34 GTT.
  25. R34's use a different water pump to R33/R32's. These aren't interchangeble.
