  1. Something like this would help with the part where the spoke goes in. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/IWATA-HP-CS-Airbrus...1QQcmdZViewItem But most importantly mask up the areas you don't want touched. Maybe you could post a diy article when you're done
  2. I'd sand and prime the rim first. Then mask the outer rim, and spray the insides black. Allow to completely dry, and then mask off the inner area, and spray the outer rim in red. You can allow for a bit of overlap where the spoke joins the outer rim, so little more black around 5-10 mm where it joins. Then when you goto do the red it should almost look seemless. You might want to finish this area up with a fine brush.
  3. Well besides the fact that they sometimes come in different colours (e.g. chrome, shadow chrome, etc) but for regular colours it's true. Gluck, show us some pics when you're done mate! btw. if you're covering large surfaces, not just spot repairs, then you may need to spray gun. And if you have any heavy rashing, use a metal file and grind it flat... and then use a metal reinforced putty.
  4. I second George @ APS, just don't ask him to send Chris Rogers down to Adelaide to work on another Viper/Skyline install again hehe.
  5. For instance when i'm doing touch ups/repairs, using the correct colour code makes it indistinguishable from factory. Dupli-color for wheels is a bit of a scam, it's the same dupli-color they use for their regular automotive panel paints.
  6. You won't have any problems doing that. I've done it numerous times on the various rims i've owned.
  7. Must be stupid driver week, had a bright yellow VH commodore tailgating me on churchill road, then overtook me on the left hand side of a one lane road... the guy's got a deathwish or something.
  8. hypothetically, on the streets it might be easier to cleanly launch a 2wd skyline over a 4wd wrx. Those of you who've driven rexies will know what i mean.
  9. That was him.. he tailgated me all the way from o'connell street and the closer he got the slower i went. Then he went ape shit and started flashing highbeams and beeping his horn. Was ready to step out at that intersection if he said anything stupid.
  10. Thanks mate, i was running sorta late too. Was road raged just around that corner too around that time by some guy in a van.

  19. Most probably my driving style It's gone up since i installed the front pipe though.. i picked up a couple pound of boost right there. But the stop start traffic to work in the city doesn't help either. Funny thing is, it was running much richer before i had my ignition issues sorted out, so in theory it should've been lower. After my next round of modifications i'll go back and see Shaun at boostworks for a dyno tune.
  20. Here's an excel sheet for you guys who are interested. http://www.howiefied.net/sau/fuel_consumption.xls

  22. I used to get 10.5L/100km in the R32. Stock as a rock with only a pod filter on PULP (not even 98ron). Will be interesting to see if there's any noticeable difference. I keep a very detailed fuel consumption log at home so i'll report the results here.
  23. According to the website, it's a different formula with some gains in performance.
